Food never disappointed!

With eight different restaurants to choose from, we never lacked for food and never had a bad meal either. Employees were friendly and helpful. Some cons are rooms are very damp. Incense and matches are provided in the rooms, but matches were too wet to be lit We upgraded to the preferred club section. Only after we checked in did we realize there was also an adults only preferred section. We were in the other section which was overrun with kids We were very disappointed in our wing of the resort. Food was better in the adults only section, adult only pool was in that section, robes and slippers were only provided in that section, better bar was in that section. I felt we should have been offered a choice either when we booked or when we checked in Other than that our stay was great. Anyone going to the buffet should definitely check out Danny, the server. He’s a server in the out side section. Great personality and great attention to detail

Food never disappointed! Beautiful sunsets

Awesome experience

This was a pre birthday celebration for the love of my life. We had an awesome time, great customer service, amazing resort, comfortable and clean room. We stayed in the preferred adults only swim out suite which is worth every penny. Exquisite service. The romantic dinner at Sea side grill was worth it, our waitor made my boyfriend experience priceless. One down fall occurred with "Cheap Caribbean" forgetring to forward my room upgrade information to the resort which made me very frustrated and I wasn't happy about spending my vacation time calling and being on hold for 30 minutes to resolve this matter. After matter was resolved, our vacation was wonderful.

Subpar Services

I’ll start with the positives of this trip. Flight and transportation were wonderful, safe and ontime. The views from the endless pool, swim up bar and beach were amazing. Weather was great, our trip was early November. The room we stayed in was a family suite 3143 (4 adults) first floor directly looking at the endless pool and beach, I couldn’t have asked for a better room location. The resort was also not crowded which I appreciated, there was no crowds or waiting at resturants for tables more then 10-15 minutes and that was only once. Now for the subpar standards and services of this “resort”. The room itself was standard, bed was comfortable, but I wouldn’t say it was up to resort standards by any means. The WiFi in the room worked intermittently, that seemed to be a specific problem with building 3, and by the pool. Most alcoholic drinks were almost unbearable to drink, inconsistently made and cheap. Sticking to wine or beer was the only way to know what you would be getting. Food at the buffet was average, at best, the food did not have a lot of flavor overall. The restaurants were bland and again extreamly inconsistent. Housekeeping was terrible, no towels one day and ran out toilet paper in one of the room without it being replaced or having a spare available. I never actually knew who my housekeeper was, I only saw three of them by the enterance of our building chatting everymorning. Suggestions: 1.Send every bartender to training for mixed drinks, not only knowing how to make them but which alcohol is which. Classic drinks (Margaritas, White Russians, martinis) were made with incorrect alcohols. 2. Speed, while yes the staff did take the time to help you and were kind, they were incredibly slow with their service. 3. Food really should be looked closely at at this resort. Undercooked or over cooked it was rarely actually cooked correctly. Overall, I had a nice time on this vacation because I enjoyed the company I was in with friends and an amazing beach view. But I would never go back to this resort again, recommend to anyone, or recommend Dreams resorts at all.

What's to Love

As of June 2018 you can bring your furry friend along!

Cool towels and sparkling champagne - palate cleansers after the trek from the real world to Beach Heaven.

It's on an eco-friendly beach along a mind-blowing turquoise sea surrounded by a tropical wonderland.

Explorer's club (kids 3-12) that offers everything from sand castle competitions to arts & crafts.

Red Cross certified staff supervise the aforementioned club. A relief, right?

Parents get a pager from the Explorer's club, should they be needed for anything.

Italian-inspired architecture and manicured gardens that reflect a Mediterranean seaside paradise.

The Brazilian restaurant with churrasco-style cuisine and the lobster restaurant on the pier.

Colonially-inspired family-sized suites with classic decor and private balconies or terraces.

Luxury bath amenities sweeten the pot.

Butlers greeting you after excursions with chilled towels and tasty tropical drinks. This rocks.

The stress-squashing spa with palapas for oceanside massages and Jojoba Oil body exfoliations.

Outdoor hydrotherapy whirlpool baths, two saunas and a Vichy shower.

What We'd Change

The resort is pretty big, which makes for a lot of walking, but that way you can work off all the delicious food!

Why You Should Go

Upgrade to the Preferred Club and get upgraded rooms, access to a private lounge, and much more.

Golf at Teeth of the Dog, The Links and Dye Fore designed by architect Pete B. Dye.

The reef that's right off the beach is full of beautiful fish.

You can take a catamaran, sailboat or speedboat (hang on to your hats!) to dreamy Soana Island.

Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon are also a whisper away.

Rent a private pool for four for a day with the Corner Pool Package!

Connecting rooms, rollaway beds and cribs are available. Just ask.

You can try you luck (or lose your money) at blackjack, roulette and slot machines at the onsite casino.

There are tennis courts (with clinics) along with bike rentals. Woot!

Get your feet (and body) wet with boogie boarding, kayaks, snorkeling, and scuba diving (for a fee).

For laid-back chilling, catch some billiards, dance classes, and a giant chess board.

There's an inflatable iceberg on the beach, plus kids love the Euro-bungee and ocean trampoline.
