    70% Secrets, 30% Dreams

Throughout my time traveling as an adult couple and with the family, I’ve had a lot of experience with all inclusive travel and resorts like this one. I would say this is for sure a solid win for adults and a family. If you didn’t know, this is a split resort. The resort is about 70% Secrets and 30% Dreams. We had the privilege of staying in one of the 10 true ocean front suites, the Bahia Mita Suite. The service was top notch! Special shout out to our Concierge Elizabeth, Genesis at the preferred desk, Dario at the Splash Park, Rose, Francisco, Miguel at the Sky Bar and Dennis in the Secrets Preferred Lounge. Too many more to name, but what a great attentive staff. Overall, I would give this resort a 3.5 out of 5… let’s break it down. Pros: - Gorgeous property - Amazing rooms - Splash Park (what a surprise) - Lunch Options at the Splash Park - Amazing views from our suite - Explorer’s Club (Kids Club) - Secrets Adults-Only Dining was delicious - Spa Cons: - Lack of amenities for Dreams - Preferred Club for Dreams is not worth it if you are looking for family perks. - Panoramic view rooms - Construction next door (can’t be controlled) - Weddings every night on the Dreams side - Dinner options for families - Loud Those are just the tops of each list. Our room was fantastic (2100) but after weddings going on right outside of our room 3-nights in a row,it was a bit much. (The rooms ending in 00 are located in the very end, ocean front.) The wedding parties last until 11pm and then they take down the stage and setup. We asked to move to a higher floor, the 5th floor (2500), only to discover they had a wedding scheduled that night on an elevated terrace right outside of our room again. Overall, I feel the “Dreams” side was an after thought. This is truly a Secrets property and a good one, but not Dreams.

100% Recommended - Dreams Bahia de Mita

Excellent service all around - good food, fun entertainment and everyone was extremely attentive. We’ve visited several Dreams with family and this is a top 3! Efrain was great with our kids and kept them entertained with fun activities at the Core Zone.

beautiful resort .. almost good service

this was our 2nd time here and the first time it was the most magical time . This time was still good but i had built up this dream vacation in my head and it didn't match up .. We had to ask for things multiple times .. food was an issue at some of the restaurants .. the buffet has always been consistently good .. the staff at some points was great but some things left me shaking my head .. having a pool on your balcony is a must in the hot weather so that is always a nice treat .. just didn't feel like the second home the first trip here made us feel

Meh, for a LOT of money

Good - teens/kids club, food was pretty good, hotel is clean, AC rip roars, they're responsive and have a pharmacy and MD on staff. The water park is open and is cool for kids. Stores have everything you might have forgotten. Good drinks at the preferred bars, meh elsewhere. Service is very attentive. Cafe has GREAT coffee and is open 24/7. They have Netflix in the rooms. If you can make it away from your kids, the sky bar looked cool. I didn't even get up there. Buffet has a good variety of kids options and the fruit is delicious. Bad - water is SUPER WARM in all pools, beach sucks and not as advertised on Dreams side, so humid outside in September so the outdoor restaurants were a sauna, portions are small in the specialty restaurants and if you miss dinner 6-7 you will wait or eat outside. Shower is a death trap. My 6yo fell twice as did my father. They need larger rubber mats. Baby lizard was on my bed as were a few other bugs (didn't leave doors open, they come in from under hte outdoor facing exterior door). No laundry service that you can do yourself for a reasonable price ($10/baby outfit not happening). Spa is overpriced, ended up not using it. Wasn't going to pay $280 + tip for a standard massage. Get the distinct feeling I paid a LOT MORE for 2 rooms preferred club than the locals ($11k).
