Good, not great but with opportunity to improve!

Overall it was a good experience, just nothing super special like we expected with the "Luxury" promise. A/C in first room had serious mold issue that made my wife sick within minutes and me a bit later. Had to turn off A/C first night and crank fan just to get through the night. They swapped rooms promptly the next day - which was great and 2nd room was night and day better. Never received welcome basket as part of Preferred Club... asked 3 times, still nothing. Ordered special chocolate covered strawberries and bubbling wine for our 25th anniversary for check-in and it never arrived even after asking about it... they said Wed... then Friday and never showed. Asking for refund. Overall the resort is nice, just not great. Bar selection is good... no bourbon, limited whiskey and avg scotch. Wine that's included is avg at best and often served hot (due to outside temps) so we had to ask for it chilled. Anything but the house merlot or cab required an up charge. Should have a couple options at the "all-inclusive" package before upcharges. Felt a cruise ship covers this area better and some other all-inclusive resorts we've been too in the past. Food was very good overall - buffet had a good variety but didn't change too much so got boring after 3rd day. Breakfast was very good. Dinners at the restaurants were good - food is very good but service was extremely slow. 2.5-3 hrs. for a meal is too slow. Hopped over to Secrets for a couple nights - much better service - prompt and the food was very good like Dreams. Same wine/bar. Rooms need some work - shower floor doesn't slope to drain so water spreads around glass wall even with towels. Tile leaked by toilet from water upstairs seeping through the walls. Saw mold by light so thinking moisture/water from above in between. With high-humidity location... can see this happening especially with people leaving sliding door open with A/C cranked.... tough situation but take time to inspect/clean these areas especially the A/C would go a long way. Many in our group said musty smell got to them after a couple days. More maintenance here? Overall a good trip... but have stayed at better locations before.

Beautiful Oceanside Resort - ask for room 3414 B!

We had a small problem with the first room we were given (not the view we expected and no working TV). However, the management and staff worked very hard to recover the experience and they turned the rest of our trip into a fantastic experience. We ended upgrading to the best room in the entire resort the second half of our stay and I couldn’t have asked for a better view and beauty of the resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure the guests were happy. The food was only ok but to be honest, we went for the experience of the beach and beautiful island so it wasn’t a big deal to us. We tipped often but did not see many other guests tipping which seems unfair. They truly do have some GREAT employees and the beach, the swim out pools, and rooms were kept up very well. They even made sure to bring drinks to us while enjoying our swim out pool room side each day!

    Terrible Resort

This is definitely a 2 star resort. The food and drinks are disgusting and I am not a very picky person. We were a group of 20 and not one of us was satisfied with the food or drinks. The rooms were very modern an housekeeping did a great job with cleaning. The grounds were okay but an animal of some sort had bowel movement on the walkway and it stayed there for days as people walked in it and tracked it all over. This was not a good vacation spot and I will not be returning.

    Friendly, comfortable, family fun!

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered while traveling. It was clean and modern. Manuel with entertainment kept us busy when we were at the resort. Javred was our favorite waiter. Marco made sure we always had what we needed. I could go on and on. It was a great trip!

    Dreams Cozumel - Family Vacation

We had a great family trip to Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. The resort itself is smaller (which we loved) but it is beautiful, the beach was amazing and always so nice and clean. You also can visit the sister resorts next door, so you have more restaurant choices. We loved it and can't wait to go back!
