Great trip

The resort activities, staff and food were amazing. We could have stayed on the resort the entire time with plenty to do. The only negative is that the rooms can be a walk to the pool or dinner and the beaches were not what we expected. If you expect the Caribbean type sand and water, then you will be dissapointed. The resort staff and great food more than made up for that for us. On our trip we did the sunset hike, which was beautiful, we did a catamaran tour with dolphins and whales, we kayaked with sting rays, and snorkeled with sea turtles. We even found monkeys just outside our room one morning. It was an amazing adventure.

Expected More

Pros:Overall the resort is beautiful and set overlooking a bay. The staff at the resort speak/understand English and were extremely helpful/friendly. Everything was very clean and well kept. The private bungalow room we stayed in was modern, furnished nicely and had an amazing view. The beach is small but private and quaint. It is only a 25 min drive from Liberia airport and in a remote setting. Cons: Greeted with timeshare promotions as soon as you check in which was extremely annoying after traveling all day. Definitely not set up to accommodate guests who have a disability or not physically able to get around well. The resort is large and set on a hillside so there is a lot of stairs/hill climbing. A resort shuttle is offered to get around but you often have to wait long periods of time for it to come. There are two small pools not nearly big enough to accommodate all the guests staying at the resort. There are 4 restaurants that serve dinner and they would randomly shut one down every evening without notice. The same would happen for breakfast or they would stop serving early. For example the one "healthy restaurant" option was advertised to serve breakfast until 11am and when we arrived at 10:15am we were told they were done serving. Food was okay in comparison to other international resorts I have stayed at. We ate a lot of room service because of the lack of options/quality. The biggest disappoint was the lack of activities/night life. Everything seemed to shut down and go to sleep by 10/11pm each night. I chose this resort over others because it advertised all kinds of activities and did not find this to be true. The Spa services are very expensive in comparison to others I have seen as were other extra activity options such as the water jet ski. It was a much older crowd that we had hoped for or anticipated.
