    Amazing Trip

The resort was so beautiful and friendly. When you go out for dinner ask for Willy as your waiter. He was very knowledgeable about the food and very funny! When you are on the beach find Nelly. She was always on top of what we needed. Her sense of humor and kindness really created a wonderful day for my whole family. We had a wonderful time and want to thank everyone that made our stay so welcoming!!!!

    Visit in Spring 2020

We truly enjoyed this property! We booked in the altitude tower and enjoyed the premier bar, breakfast, sushi and other amenities that this room included. We had great service from Ricardo at the Beach Bar while we were enjoying our complimentary cabana on the beach. Ricardo went above and beyond in taking care of our needs. We ventured off the property and went to Macambo which is a small walk from the hotel. Great great food and atmosphere ... highly recommended.

We visited during spring break. Occupancy was down due to covid but staff cheerful and worked hard on service. Long strip of beach chairs all with umbrella. Beautiful location. No sewers. Far from the hard rock and beach party areas further down. Protip: Stay in altitude tower. But more but dedicated breakfast area (continental and will cook eggs and bacon on request), 2 elevators, dedicated lobby attendant (Abrete sesamo!!) (inside joke) and no sales people. 3 good restaurants, liked them all.

Nice place. We’ve been to dozens of resorts and this was neither bad nor spectacular. Cons: Greeted with the typical timeshare nonsense. We were even trying to window shop in the lobby and were chased off by one of them. Very limited drinks in room. Nothing diet. Beautiful grounds but nowhere to sit, beach loungers or otherwise. The usual towel games- people go out at 7 AM and put their towels down. Any given time you can look around and see at least 50% of the chairs with towels and no humans. There aren’t enough chairs as it is. Very large sidewalks and pathways that could and would be utilized with benches and chairs. Word of warning- don’t get buzzed and shop from the guy who sets up by the pool. We paid WAY too much for what was probably $25 worth of junk (glass stones- totally not moonstone). But hey, good for their economy right? Worst was the bar down the beach had a concert until 4 AM. The way the hotel is designed, all of the noise funneled right into our rooms. Elevators are pretty insufficient. We were on the 6th floor and took the stairs most of the time because we needed the exercise but not everyone has that option. Pros: rooms were a good size and clean. Bed was comfortable ( I have serious back issues and had no problems). Good AC. Nice white noise from the fan on constant. I’m a very light sleeper and had no problems except the one night I mentioned above. I really enjoyed the food. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. A great variety types of food. Awesome to order room service on IPad. They go all out and bring it in the room and set it up with cute tiny condiments. Poolside bar service was GREAT! The ceviche restaurant was so good- we sat there a lot because there was nowhere else to sit- pretty sure I ate ten pounds of it while we were there. Nice lending library. A good atmosphere. People were very nice. Summation: would I go back? I wouldn’t say never. Our first time in the hotel zone due to time restraints. I didn’t enjoy the closeness of everyone and everything, but it was great to be so close to the airport.
