Booked a preferred junior suite. I informed the staff that I would be celebrating my birthday upon check in. Usually there is a banner, room decoration, etc. I only received a slice of cake. That was nice but I’m used to an all inclusive resort doing more. The resort was nice but I didn’t see any difference between preferred club and the rest of the resort. Most of the staff had very good customer service. If you’re looking to just relax then this resort is for you. It’s pretty quiet and the view of the beach is breathtaking. I’m not sure if I would book again but my time here was not so bad.

It is hit or miss on drinks and food. Some items are terrific and others are nowhere near what you would expect from the name. There was a near constant howl by the pool. It was coming from an exhaust fan at a nearby restaurant. The staff did not seem interested in hearing complaints about it.

Dec 11, 2024Room for Improvement at Secrets Wild Orchid Hotel
All employees were very professional and attentive. There is no Air conditioning in the hotel lobby of any of the Secret hotels which is uncomfortable to guests during check in and out, but more so to the employees who spend their entire shift at that post. SOme deeper cleaning and audit of the housekeeping of the rooms is required as the blanket smelled of mold and the shower needed a deep clean.

We had an amazing stay in the presidential suite for our honeymoon, it was absolutely lovely and we had the best butlers Kent and Betty, they went above and beyond 10/10 and the food was amazing especially at Blue mountain. There was construction at the resort though.

The Best Time!
If there were any minor inconveniences, they were completely ruled out by the fantastic staff at Wild Orchid and St James. They went above and beyond to make our time there special. Kerry Ann, Francine, and Asheekie were our favorite bartenders. Actor Boy, Soso, and Quan were top tier on the entertainment team. And Patrick was our favorite lifeguard! I miss them more than I miss being on the resort! Our experience in Jamaica was just incredible, and it was all thanks to the wonderful people we got to meet.
