    The Best of the Beaches

Puerto Plata is popular because there are fun beach activities from nearly any section of its amber coast. Plenty of beachfront hotels settle along the soft sand in Puerto Plata. Playa Dorada and Costa Dorada's natural beauty make them favorites among tourists and hoteliers. The Be Live Grand Marien, for example, prides itself on its beachfront location on Costa Dorada. Cofresi Beach is also popular with hotels like Presidential Suites Cofresi by Lifestyle and Cofresi Palm Beach Resort calling it home. If you’re an experienced swimmer and enjoy waves, you’ll have fun on Playa Grande's beautiful water. And for the most relaxing beach experience, head to the Maimon beach area and enjoy the peace and quiet.
