What We Love
- The resort is built like a small Mexican town, complete with cobblestone streets and genuine Mexican hospitality, with the bonus of resort-style pools and six Jacuzzis.
Things to Know
- The resort is the perfect place for family fun in Puerto Vallarta, with offerings like golf, fishing, jungle tours, zip lines and ATVs.
Wanting to soak up some sun? The 440 yards of unfettered golden beach is the perfect spot to soak up some Vitamin D. If you'd rather splash in the resort's pool, you'll have plenty of options with three pool complexes with a main pool interlocked with a children's pool and a number of other swimming areas. If you'd like to heat things up, hop into one of six Jacuzzis and you've got yourself a different spot for just about every day of the week.
When you start feeling hungry, you'll have plenty of choices from the resort's five restaurants that guarantee a different flavor for every whim. For those with a taste for Asian cuisine, we recommend the delicious fare of the Japanese-inspired Kamakura, while guests seeking a more local taste should take a seat at La Velas for authentic Mexican seafood. After you've had your fill of delicious food, don't hesitate to follow the active crowd at La Choperia to find your favorite televised sports game while you rack-'em-up at the billiards table.
After a quick trip to your Superior Room, complete with a private balcony, marble floors and a bed fit for a king, it's time to rise and shine with a trip to the racquetball courts, tennis courts or perhaps a bump-set-spike scenario at beach volleyball, all courtesy of the all-inclusive amenities at this resort.

Our experience was excellent along with great weather
the villa was very neat and clean. the maid service was there every day and kept the place very clean and fresh. we had a short walk everyday to the pool and beach with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains.the food on the grounds was very good along with the drinks. we had a gentleman named Lino who took care of us extremely well. he gave us good recommendations on place to see and eat and always made a point to stop and talk to us in the morning as we were sitting out side having coffee. He was always happy and smiling with a very positive personality. He also made sure are luggage was taken care of and making sure we got cabs when needed. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Krystal and would defiantly stay there again
A Vacation with Warm and Friendly People
This was the first time that we stayed at Hotel Krystal in Puerto Vallarta. Previously we stayed at their property in Cancun. All of the staff at the Hotel provide excellent customer service and always willing to help in any way. Three of the staff were truly outstanding and reflected the excellent service at the Hotel. In food service Enrique Aruajo provided us with great service and a friendly smile as the Captain. He ensured every thing was satisfactory and was available for any questions. We continued to go to one of the servers who went beyond the call of duty in her performance. A very nice and hard working individual who was always 2 steps in front of us. Her name was Gladis. Her efforts were very much appreciated. Lastly, Sahira who provided us with towel's and answered all of our questions was very nice and quite helpful. All three of the employees represented the brand in an outstanding manner. The service by the other staff was excellent as well with all employees greeting you with a friendly smile and asking if they could be of assistance. The facilities were clean from the beach to the rooms and restaurants. Overall, the stay at this facility was excellent and I would not hesitate to return to the Hotel Krystal in the near future. Please share my comments with the three individuals who deserve the praise. Thanks to all of the staff for going out of their way to make this an exceptional experience. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful week during early March at the Krystal. Thirty years ago we were at the Krystal and we happy to find that it is still offers authentic Mexican hospitality. It is clean, relatively quiet and the staff are all very gracious and helpful. Georgina was especially helpful at check in and was able to accommodate a request for an ocean view as I recouped following surgery. We stayed in the building facing the beach. The timeshare units looked inviting as well as the rooms in the taller tower. We ate dinner at the restaurant twice and felt there were many choices. We would have enjoyed fresh fruit. The pools were clean and not crowded and the beach was clean and enjoyable. You can catch the bus to downtown right in front of the resort for 10 pesos each way. Soriana grocery is a little over a block away. You can walk to a food card pod about 5 blocks towards town. We look forward to returning. Our grandchildren would love it.
Location was great.
I chose this resort on the fact is was a 4 star rating. I’m more stuck giving it a pinch less. The staff a definite 5 star. From the front desk, waiters, bar tenders and housekeepers I was very happy with that. The breakfasts were awesome. The lunch I could always find something to eat (I’m celiac and therefore have very few options) I sent a letter beforehand and was hoping I’d have a little more help navigating the buffet but if I flagged someone down they would always find someone to help me through. I never ate off the hot buffet line but appreciated the fresh roasted beef, turkey, fish and fresh vegetables. The evening meals (in my opinion) were very disappointing. They were themed and every thing seemed similar each night. I would have loved if they even just had “street type tacos” every night but only once. I just assumed it’s Mexico and that would be common. We ate at the Italian restaurant and was super disappointed. The ambiance was that of a banquet room/ meeting room in a super 8 hotel. I guess I was expecting something grander. The food was comparable to the buffet line. The drinks were good (not the wine) The beach is lovely. The grounds were clean. We stayed in the tower and I was very pleased with the size of room and large bathroom The loungers (why is this such an issue) I refused to play the “save the chair” game because I feel it’s rude to hold a chair then not show up until 1pm. After my 4th day of not getting a chair I said screw it and went out in the dark. NO CHAIRS and NO PALAPAS LEFT. we stumbled through the sand and finally found 2. Guess why? They were both broken. Ugh well at least we didn’t have to sit in the hot sand that day. My hubby rigged up our chairs to make do. Location to the airport was a winner for me. Easy to catch a bus for 10 pesos yo get to the Malecon or Walmart or Marina. A few blocks down towards the malecon is a great little food area called the “Food Park” an outdoor eating area with a bunch of different restaurants. The best steak I’ve eaten I had there. We ended up going there a few nights when the buffet didn’t look appealing. All in all it was a nice getaway from our cold winter the resort is really pretty the staff are fantastic there were just some things were a little disappointing.
The rooms were good, the food was good. We were very disappointed that there were no hot tubs. The site showed 6 hot tubs, but when we got there and couldn't find any we asked. One person didn't know what I was talking about. The next said they took them out and put in another pool instead. Only 1 of the pools was heated and there were only people in that pool. No one went in the others. I don't know how a pool could be so cold in beautiful weather, but they were very cold. We enjoyed most of the nightly entertainment. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good. I only knew of bingo one day and aqua size another. The board wasn't updated so you know what was going on that day or the next. This was our first all-inclusive trip so I don't know if the bars are open earlier and longer, but it seemed like the 1 bar only open 10am-10pm and the other until midnight. It would have been nice if they were open earlier to enjoy a coffee and bailey's with breakfast, and a drink later than midnight would also be nice. The staff were all very friendly and it was still a great trip. We just expected more.
