As a pre-planned modern resort community, Ixtapa offers you a modern infrastructure with high-rise hotels and reliable transportation, as well as watersports, golf and shopping. Nearby Zihuatanejo retains its quiet charm as a Mexican beach village, providing visitors a glimpse into a slower-paced lifestyle.
The kid in you will love the waterslide at the hotel's 130-ft free-form swimming pool. This 12-ft slide is built into a man-made rock formation with a waterfall spilling into the pool. If you have younger children, don't worry, the figure-eight pool has plenty of space for them to splash around in.
Be sure to reserve one night for Bogart's, the premier restaurant at the Krystal hotel in Ixtapa. Be sure to order the French onion soup. After dinner, get your groove on to the best Caribbean hits at Christine Club.
Two very different championship golf courses are each within a half-mile of the Krystal Ixtapa. Campo de Golf Ixtapa, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., offers varying terrain, crocodile-infested lagoons, jungle and beaches. Golf Digest ranks Marina Ixtapa Golf Club, designed by Robert von Hagge, as one of Mexico's best. Don't be surprised by pleasure craft navigating the saltwater inlets surrounding 13 of the holes.

We stayed at the Krystal Ixtapa in March 2020. We were on the 10th floor with ocean view. We found the hotel rooms to be clean, modern and spacious. The beds were comfortable and were given a variety of pillows to used. The food was good and well displayed. There was good variety and lots of it. The pool and beach areas were well kept and clean. They had lots of chairs and lounger for everyone. They have a beach/pool snack bar to help with your munchies cravings and 2 bars never the pool and beach area to provide you with your favourite drinks. The hotel also offers guided bike tours free of charge to help you explore the Ixtapa area. The staff was always willing to help and answer any questions you have. Their el-a-cart at Bogarts was fantastic! The food was so good! We did not try the Italian one (due to having no reservations available) but heard the food was good there as well. There are also many restaurants nearby with wonderful food options as well. There is a small market nearby and many tours to take if that interests you. Our experience was good over all. Ixtapa is a great place to visit. We plan on returning to Krystal Ixtapa in the future.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Krystal Ixtapa March 12 to 19, 2020 with our two 17 year old boys. Check-in was quick, easy, polite and courteous. Our rooms were on the 10th floor with a beautiful view of both the mountains and the ocean, which allowed us to observe the beautiful sunsets each night. The rooms are bright and spacious, and all have balconies - it would be nice if there were small fridges in the rooms. Cleaning of our rooms was done promptly each day, towel art included! The buffets for all meals were set up and presented nicely. There was a variety of choices - beef, chicken, pork and fish, rice, potatoes, vegetables, salad, pasta , pasta salad, desserts, french toast, pancakes, freshly made omelets, and of course, many mexican dishes. We always found good things to eat. We enjoyed Bogart's for dinner twice which I absolutely recommend. There were activities such as beach volleyball, zumba, bike rides and bingo if you wished to participate. Our boys also enjoyed surfing lessons at Playa de Linda and snorkeling at Playa Los Gatas. There's lots to do and see. All hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating, They worked hard at keeping guests happy. The hotel is located centrally in the bay. The beach is wide and soft with lots of walking area. The waves can be high and wild, so take caution! The pool area is large and clean. There are lots of palapas, umbrellas and chairs available. The weather is amazing every day...bring lots of sunscreen! The hotel is within close proximity to town, which has lots to- see, and is a nice place to go both during the day and the evening. A trip to Zihua - Centro de Mayo is also encouraged. The Krystal is an older hotel, which is clean and has been somewhat renovated. It is completely acceptable and comfortable. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
we had been going to the Krystal for 18 years, we love the hotel and staff they treat us like family. We dont do the all inclusive, we eat breakfast at the hotel and are pleased with the food. Over the years the rooms have been upgraded as well as the pool area.
Love staying at the Krystal.
The staff is helpful and efficient. We received good service when needed to request anything. Everyone is friendly and it was a fun vacation staying here. It’s central location makes it ideal for access to all in Ixtapa. Especially thankful for waiters Jesus,Juan, Martin and Josephina. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We loved talking with a young man named Manuel, a hotel staff. This hotel has been recently redecorated and improvements made to eating areas and pool bathrooms.
