Very disappointed

The reason we pick this resort was based on reviews then we read on line. But the people who wrote those reviews obviously never been to other resorts so they have nothing to compare to When we first got there they charged us extra for the ocean view which to them it means partial Oceanview and if you want the full Oceanview you have to pay extra. The service of the restaurants was brutal nobody sit you down nobody serves you. Most of the time were no silverware on the tables so you had to go around and ask for. Food was bad and most of the time was no food and it took them forever to realize that because it was nobody there to look if people had enough food. Two pools they have for families they were way too small and way too crowded at times. I personally would never go back to that place and if you are good luck to you.

Amazing Beaches

there was so much space to sprawl out. If you wanted to be around the rowdy crowd and families you could, by going to the beaches by the pools. Or if you wanted a more quite private secluded area you could go to the cove side beaches. Every view was breathtaking, the water was crystal clear. Just beautiful and relaxing. But definitely choose to stay on the cove side.

Good, but could be great

This is very much a family resort with lots of pools and beaches right there. We upgraded to ocean view room: great view, looked new, but beds were hard. The original partial ocean view was only a sliver. Some rooms are renovated and some are not.... The housekeeping was very nice and did a good job, but was at 9 PM despite multiple requests which isn't good for families. Towels were a constant struggle with heavy rains one night taxing them. Dining was very good at each of the restaurants. 4 very good servers and one poor server so overall very good. This resort has three beaches, with one a little rocky but no people, one nice but busy and then the watersports beach. Free snorkeling and kayaking convenient and easy. Best part of the resort is the people, the front desk, bartenders, etc treat you like your friends from high-school.

First Timer

Overall, we had a fun time at Sunscape. The resort is only 10-15 minutes from the airport, 99% of staff is amazing and so friendly, the sun was shining, the hotel property, pools and beach were incredibly clean, the Jerk chicken was delicious. This resort is family friendly and I would recommend a family to come because all of the children were having a great time. It was a nice first experience at an all-inclusive resort but there could be improvements. *The room was clean but not quite what is pictured on the website. One side of The Cove was much nicer than the other and I think they only show pictures of the nicer side. *They provide you larger sizes of shampoo of conditioner- but the conditioner was most definitely Lotion in a conditioner bottle. *The website says that the mini fridge is "fully Stocked"- ours had 1 beer and that was it. We contacted the front office twice and no-one ever came to restock. *Housekeeping did not come until 3:30pm and still no re-stock of mini-fridge. *Food options were okay but restaurants had limited options. We went to the Italian place and three of the items were not available- but they did not tell us that prior to being seated. *there are daily activities but only 50% (maybe) are actually held. *The tennis Pro wanted us to pay extra to play tennis-- which was listed for 8am on the daily activity sheet Somethings to bring on an all-inclusive: sunscreen larger water bottle for water insulated cup for drinks

What's to Love

Feeling like royalty during the red carpet check-in while nibbling on frozen treats.

Every room is upgraded to The Sun Club, a family-centric program that features fun things for the kids like cartoons in the rooms & milk and cookies.

Kids get a resort passport that kicks off a scavenger hunt (read: keeps them occupied so you can chill).

The Pirate's Paradise Waterpark (shiver me timbers!) that includes a pirate ship and a 40-foot plank for wayward mutineers.

Getting pampered at the spa with stress-ousting massages, rejuvenating facials, and more. (A nice break from all the pirate stuff.)

What We'd Change

Sometimes the restaurants are busy, but you don't need reservations and the resort staff is eager to get you in as soon as possible.

Why You Should Go

Spectacular snorkeling at Montego Bay Marine Park, Jamaica's first underwater national park with protected swimming areas.

It sits on a private peninsula that boasts over 1,800 feet of beachtastic white sand with palapas, under which you can find your perch.

Dunns River Falls, a famous, rockin' waterfall, is near.

Eco-adventure tours are available, and waiting for you. Bring your bug spray.

It's near the "Hip Strip," a cultural epi-center filled with handcrafts by local artisans, Jamaican food and island hospitality, Mon.

Golf is available just 30 minutes away. Schwing.

No irritating wristbands required.
