Good, can be better

Pro: location- Palm beach has everything. The beach, shops, restaurants, and entertainment. This resort is located in a convenient area of the island. Close to other beaches like Arashi beach and Boca Catalina Beach. Palm Beach is beautiful but it's very touristy in my opinion and prefer Arashi, Boca Catalina or Eagle beach. Cons: room- our room has first no phone line (to contact the front desk) and in-house safe was not properly set. The bathroom sink was first clogged and then started leaking later. Wifi is spotty for the whole time. Since it's close to the nightlife, you can hear noise from outside if you like to sleep at night. Breakfast/ restaurant- Even after confirming with Cheap Caribbean rep that our package was included free breakfast, it was actually NOT and it's not cheap. And it's A-OK restaurant. Pretty empty during lunch and dinner at this place. We ended up going to Salt and Pepper nearby for breakfast and we loved that place. Overall, it's ok.

Good Value, Poor Customer Service

My sister and I stayed here in June for 7 nights. Check in was good... David and Louis checked us in quickly and efficiently. We had asked for a refrigerator and a coffee pot. They both told us they were in our room. The refrigerator was but no coffee pot... when we called and asked about it we were told there was coffee in the lobby at 7am. We were given the runaround for a couple of days when they finally told us we were not getting a coffee pot. I get up at 5am and like to have my coffee then. We even brought our own coffee. The coffee in the lobby was good, though. Just an aggravation to have to wait 2 hours for a cup of coffee. The room was dated but clean. Our beds were lumpy and the mattresses slid off of the box springs constantly. We were always having to push them back in place. The bathroom could have used an exhaust fan but otherwise it was clean and nice. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our room and leaving new toiletries and towels everyday. Our biggest complaint other than no coffee pot was that we froze from the air conditioning. We could not adjust it. I came home with a sore throat and didn’t feel well for almost a week. We ate at the restaurants around the corner from the hotel. Everyone there was so nice and their food was all good. We never used the restaurant or the pool at Brickell Bay. We came for the beach. It is just a couple of blocks from the hotel. A nice walk and plenty of room for the Brickell Bay customers. We asked for a shuttle to the beach the first day but no one ever came ... they just pointed the directions out for us. We were never offered any help with our luggage to our room after we checked in. We called and asked for someone to help us out with our luggage checkout day... no one ever came. Customer service is lacking for the most part at the Brickell Bay. If I ever go back to Aruba I will probably stay somewhere else.

Great price for location

We were very happy with our choice to stay here for 5 days. Our room was air conditioned and had a mini fridge. The bathroom was in good and clean condition with extra towels and warm/cool water to shower. The pool was small but great for taking a dip and the beach was a 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants near so you have a choice in what to eat everyday if you want to try something new. There is also night clubs and bars nearby so no need to take a taxi when going out. I would definitely stay here again!

Save yourself some $ and stay here

Resort was very nice. Across the street from the beach. 3 minute walk or a complimentary golf cart ride. Chairs (free) reserved at the beach for guests. Service was excellent. Walking distance to many restaurants & shopping. Save yourself some money from the higher priced ocean front high rises and stay here (4 stories w/elevator). Swim up bar in pool, 2 for 1 from 4-5pm. We’re used to staying in condos but I was comfortable the entire time just staying in this hotel room which surprised me. Super quiet in the rooms. Nice pool, chairs, cabanas, towels, etc. Spa was great. Would recommend and would stay there again.
