Perfect place for a couple
This hotel resort was perfect. Everything was clean, staff good and friendly, food great! Pool scene relaxed and beach even better. Clear water white sand. The small beach bar was amazing with cocktails and music on the evening. We met a few other couple whilst on honeymoon and it was the best time ever. Felt like we were waited on hand and foot and had such a relaxed time. Will be back!
My husband and I were due to arrive tomorrow for our 4th stay before the pandemic hit. We rescheduled for the same time next year. Although we are disappointed, we are grateful that we are healthy and safe. Unlike many others. Plus, it’s always nice to have something to look forward to. Vivian was very fast to respond when we had to cancel. She was very kind ,like everyone we’ve encountered in our past stays. I would never even consider staying anywhere but Manchebo. Best place ever. Laid back with superb staff. Hope everyone is well, and safe. See you all next year!
A Love Get Away
The resort was intimate, my husband and I were so relaxed and truly impressed with everything that the hotel had to offer! We both enjoyed the spa, the food, the laid back atmosphere. We will be back!
Paradise that never disappoints!
This was our third visit to Manchebo and it was long overdue! My husband and I first came here back in 2014 and 2015 before we were married. We have traveled to some beautiful places since then, but we always kept comparing them to Eagle Beach and Manchebo. The food is delicious, the staff are so fun, friendly, and accommodating, and the beach is breathtaking. I wrote a pretty detailed review the last time we visited, but I wanted to write this one to shout out to some of the staff who made our stay extra special this time around. First, the sushi is a must have if you are able to get a reservation. Normally sushi isn’t my first choice when we go out to dinner, but I actually requested we go for the night of my birthday dinner while we were there because it’s that good!! Mylene is the chef there and she does an amazing job. She puts so much thought and creativity into her dishes and she is just the sweetest person to chat with. We met her in 2015 when the restaurant first opened and were so excited we got to reconnect and catch up with her on our visit. She even made me a delicious birthday dessert :) Jordanny was our server both nights we ate at Omakase and he was fantastic as well! On the nights we didn’t eat at Omakase we ate by the pool at Ike’s Bistro. Our server Jason was THE BEST! He was so warm and welcoming and he kept us laughing for our entire stay. We wound up stopping in to say hi to him even on the nights we weren’t eating at Ike’s. Finally, happy hour is a lot of fun at Pega Pega and they have great drink specials if you’re not doing the all inclusive. Ignacio is hilarious behind the bar and knows how to make some great drinks! We miss it there already and can’t wait to come back someday!
My birthday and Christmas present
I decided on Thanksgiving weekend to travel to Aruba. I was able to find a nonstop round trip flight from Baltimore on Southwest. I have to use to use a walker to get around. Southwest is very accommodating , very good . Aruba was great, temperatures were in the 80's 24/7. I stayed at Manchebo Resort and Spa. The hotel was friendly and knowledgeable all things Aruba. My room was comfortable, and handicap accessible. The whole hotel is smoke free. The second day I unwound at the Spa. the restaurants The Chop House and Bistro were excellent. I took the full day island tour. With me using my rollator/walker, the tour was on a small bus with two other passengers from Finland. My main activity when I travel is photography. The tour gave me many opportunities and I took a slew of great photos. The tour took us to the California Lighthouse. I discovered the Italian Faro Blanco restaurant. It has one of the best scenic spot on the island and the food was good, too. I was able to leave before Aruba closed the airport because on the pandemic, but if I had to stay I would have welcome my extended stay.
