We paid for 5 days all-inclusive. However, when we arrived on our first day at 12:15 p.m., we were told that our all-inclusive services did not begin until 5 p.m. We understood that we would not be able to check in until 3 p.m., but we were not told that we would not get food, not even a drink of water until after 5 p.m. Therefore, we had to wait in the lobby in hot weather and mosquitoes eating us up until after 5 p.m. when we had to finally insist that we be placed in a room which turned out to have a shower full of black mold. We had to call housekeeping, and a nice woman named Maria got us moved because of the health dangers to us if we stayed in the room. The only view we had was of one of the pools. We were only permitted to eat dinner at one restaurant, which had limited choices, which meant that we ate the same meal on two occasions. However, the food in the restaurant was fabulous. We tried once getting lunch in an outside bar, and after waiting for more than 20 minutes to place an order, we left. We paid for transportation from Webster's, which was offered on your site, and the van was excessively late picking us up which meant that we were late getting to the airport on the day that we left. Also, on the day that we left, checkout was at 11 a.m., and we were only permitted to get breakfast. Therefore, we paid for food for 5 days, but were denied that food on two occasions. It was terrible the first day because we had had to catch a flight at approximately 6 a.m., got no food, got into Atlanta and had breakfast at approx. 10 a.m., got some nuts on the flight, got into Margaritaville at 12:15 p.m. at the hotel, were denied any food or drinks, not even water, then until after 5 p.m. This meant that we had to go for over 6 hours without food or drink. This is not all-inclusive when your customers are treated in such a manner. Both of us have health problems that required medication without the food that we needed to assimilate the meds properly. At least, we should have been told that we would be denied food for over 6 hours. In addition to all of this inconvenience, there was a group at the hotel called "The Sunny Group," and because they were a group and we were all-inclusive and elderly, we were constantly confused with them. At one point, in the main restaurant, we were denied all of the food choices that we were supposed to get because they misclassified us and did not tell us. When they tried to do it a second time, we had to get the manager of the restaurant in order to get our status straight. Additionally, we only drinks offered to us under all-inclusive were cheap beer and water. We could not even have a soft drink at lunch time or outside in the sun, which was extremely hot. Again, this is not our idea of a resort that is advertised as all-inclusive. We would not return, and we would not recommend this resort to our family or friends. Our focus here has been on the resort with honesty; we hope that our honest comments will make a difference in how all-inclusive is offered by Cheap Caribbean. We have used your service in the past on several occasioins because we trusted your service, but we will be concerned about using your service for an all-inclusive in the future.
The island in general is very pretty. Beautiful water. Unfortunately, this was the only all inclusive option to travel here. The restaurants all stop serving food at 9pm. When you are on vacation and going out late at night you need later options for food. There was not a lot of restaurants to choose from anyway and they often took a while to serve the food. Every night we went out we would have to buy a snack or something from a nearby restaurant and the island is very expensive. It was almost as if it wasn’t worth getting the all inclusive. The resort was also kind of boring in that there was no nightly entertainment or shows. Only a band one night. It just was not what I expected for the price. Probably won’t be coming back unfortunately.
