May 08, 2025Right Sized Resort For Us
Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana was the right-sized resort for us! My husband and I stayed Wednesday, April 30 - Monday May 5, 2025, and had an amazing time! We have little interest in organized activities, or even in the spa services; our prime goal and interest is to enjoy the beach, pools, and tropical environment, and we absolutely did! The resort has 92 rooms and the outdoor facilities are perfectly equipped and set up for their maximum capacity. We loved the smaller resort feel, it was cozy, comfortable, yet expansive enough to not feel crammed. The architectural style and design of the buildings and rooms felt natural with the surroundings and gave an authentic impression. The appearance and atmosphere of the beach, ocean, pools, and grounds was beautiful! The beach was well equipped with lounges, many with shade canopies that were ideally situated throughout the beach area, with plenty for anyone wanting one. Pool/beach towels were abundantly available and never ran out. The pools were wonderful and refreshing, the pool bar, excellent, there was beach service, and everything was clean and well maintained. We were thrilled with the primarily older ages of the guests (most were 50’s-70’s with a small number in their 30’s and 40’s), and this made our stay even more comfortable to be surrounded by those in our general age range. The level of personalization and attention to each guest was outstanding! Two names we’d like to give a shout out to, Johan who was our concierge (each guest room is assigned a personal concierge), and Sory, one of the waitresses at the resort. Johan was a warm and friendly person who was full of information, suggestions, and absolutely made our stay more personal and enjoyable. All the wait staff at the restaurants were excellent yet Sory stood out with her exuberance, joy, personality, and truly a love for people. One suggestion we have is to open a bar/refreshment area at the beach; the one at the main pool is not really enough, despite wait staff service on the beach. Our only disappointment was the food. Pros: a tremendous amount of delicious, fresh fruit available, no reservations needed in the restaurants, no restaurant ever felt too crowded, and there was a good variety of food choices. Cons: while a couple of the meals were excellent, for the most part, the food tasted underwhelming. However, with our overall resort trip experience here being outstanding, we highly recommend Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana, especially for the older crowd who like us, is looking to enjoy the tropical environment and relax, without too much else going on. Peace and tranquillity
From the staff to the landscaping it was all wonderful. This place is perfect for a romantic getaway, and for some peace and quiet. There is still plenty of activities but because it has less than 100 rooms it still feels intimate and a small piece of paradise. The food here was very enjoyable as well as the menus changed

Our group of 6 ladies each got a spa treatment. There was a mistake in billing (wrong amount) and they would not let us leave the resort without paying 2 charges (Can't believe we did it) because they assured us the one charge would be refunded. It never was and they say they have no record keeping to show that we paid twice. Our travel agent has been trying to get a refund for the one charge, and they will not give it! Also--the complimentary water sports is a joke! I just returned from a Westin at another island and the service was pristine-took the paddle board to the water for us and came to bring it back when we came in. At Zoetry the shack wasn't open for 2 days because the guy never showed up. Then the one day we could use it, he just kept trying to upsell us on paid trips and then never met us at the water to help us drag the paddle boards back. A completely different experience!

Celebrating
Zoëtry is an excellent resort to enjoy quality time with family and friends. I celebrated my birthday there, and it was truly memorable. The service was outstanding—John went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I highly recommend it!

Great time
Overall, my 11 yr old son and I had a great time at Zoetry. It’s such a serene and beautiful place. The front desk manager Elizabeth was amazing and thoughtful. Johan our personal concierge was kind and helpful. The staff are friendly and accommodating especially at the pool bar area. The food at Indigo and Piragua was great. We didn’t get a chance to try the other restaurants.
