Nice sandy beach, beautiful grounds, large resort of about 650 rooms. If you're a foodie, you will be disappointed, the food is average. No wow factor or exceptional taste. Rooms are standard even in preferred area.

Highly recommend!
Had the best time at Secrets Royal Beach! The hotel is so clean, staff are super friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing, drink selection was great, always entertained, couldn’t speak more highly of a resort! Recommend for any group whether you are travelling as a couple / family / friends / even solo! The vibe of the hotel is great and you meet so many friendly people. Big shout out to Melvin and Angel who work at the pool bar and Juldania who works in the main restaurant who took care of us so well and always putting smiles on our faces.

Dec 14, 2025Great resort with wonderful staff and a beautiful beach
This resort is stunning in many aspects with a few elements that were just average. Things we loved — the preferred pool and especially Fanny Luz, the best server who always took great care of us. In addition to making sure we always had a drink or something to eat, she always made sure we were having fun. From cheers for shots to singing and dancing and even letting me practice some Spanish, service was always fantastic — by far the highlight of the trip! We also had great times at the Freshco swim up bar in the main pool where Melvin, Alex, and Wilson kept the drinks and fun going! Another absolute joy was being greeted for breakfast and lunch by Charina — always so cheerful and a beautiful voice! Lunch at Olio was great while breakfast was maybe slightly below average. Dinners were pretty good for the most part, with Bordeaux being the standout of all the restaurants we tried and the only one we chose twice. Excellent service there from Fidencio who absolutely went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience (and he was our server at Olio for lunch twice!). Nightly shows were very good, especially Beyonce and Queen. We loved to enjoy a pre-show drink at the Rendezvous lobby bar. The bartender there, Alexander, is so friendly and makes great drinks! He even smoked the old fashioned cocktails! The beach is stunning and you can go for nice long walks, which we love. The variety of pools is great and while they’re a little chilly in December, it’s more refreshing than annoying. Our only cons were some concerns about how well our room was initially cleaned upon checkin, but our concierge Cesar made sure the issue was resolved and we didn’t experience it again. Also, the breakfast buffet was not on par with any of the other Secrets resorts we’ve visited (11 trips to 7 different Secrets). Overall, we will definitely consider returning for the wonderful people, the great pools and beach, and the great value compared to some of the other resorts we’ve visited.

Great Time!
Staying at Secrets was wonderful! My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The staff was very friendly, they definitely treat you like fam. Room service was really good, timely and had great selections. Staff that went above and beyond were Denisse from Coco Cafe and Reyes at front desk. We will be returning next year.

The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. They usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
