The accommodation and hotel grounds are immaculately presented very clean very tidy, the attitude of all the staff is superb also very friendly, courteous and professional The food choices are distinctly average many features being unavailable to us because of low occupancy in the hotel meaning restaurants were not open or available when we wanted to use them Because of a cock up by our agency we did not get the preferred club status that we had paid for. I offered an extra thousand dollars to reception for this and claimed I would get it back from my agents when I returned however the hotel wanted nothing to do with it and refused to assist or help us. This in effect means one third of the hotels resource and accommodation was unavailable to us One of the attractions of this resort was it was on the beach however the beach was continually red flagged for a fortnight not due to weather conditions but because the local authorities were doing a Saragosa weed cleanup Everything you were described as luxury for example the wellness suites were exceptionally expensive and example would be US$350 for a couples massage which is More than twice the price I would expect to pay at home in Europe Branded spirits and drinks also exceptionally expensive compared to other resorts My overall summary would be it looks like luxury on the surface but when you scratch a bit deeper, it is very very expensive and everything comes as an extra, if open The entertainment staff work hard to produce what is a good show however it is distinctly amateur

Overall our experience was pretty good! Cesar, Sebastian, and Obie were really amazing. Their customer service was on point. However, the food was not that good. We had to visit "off site" restaurants just to get authentic Dominican dishes. We visited Mezcalito and SBG and they both were amazing. The Dj's were awesome (and I mean better than in the states). The people, the food, the culture was a whole vibe. Secrets had some amazing aspects like the "preferred perks." Thankfully I was with a party that had them. We had access to extra pools, amenities, etc., that other people did not have pleasure of partaking in. The drinks were not watered down. They were good. The customer service was always exceptional. I would definitely been visiting Secrets Royal Beach Resort again.

All about the SERVICE
I enjoyed my stay at Secrets. The service was the reason why. Everything that we faced was met with great service. Our room was upgraded, the staff were friendly, and a butler handled everything for us. (Find Caesar)

The resort was very beautiful and clean. The restaurants were good but did lack a little flavor. The entertainment could be a little better. The staff met our needs.

So much fun!
We had such a great time on our vacation! Sammy was our pool server and he went above and beyond for our group! The entire staff were so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were very clean and the mini bar was always stocked!
