Dec 11, 2025Great place & fun for a destination wedding!
We went to the Sandals Royal Beach resort for a family destination wedding and it was amazing! The pool, beaches and location of all the bars/food places was great! The night time activities were good...we saw Beyoncé (tribute) as well as songs from the Greatest Showman with an impressive areal routine! Even watched an Eagles game in the sports bar! We definitely are planning to come back!

Great memories made.
Great resort with exceptional service. Wonderful variety of activities and food. Rooms are nice, clean and well stocked. The wedding we were attending was very well planned and was beautiful!

The drive from the airport to the hotel was under 45 min depending on traffic, so nice and short. Once we arrived at the resort, it was beautiful. We had the private pool preferred room. That was nice as well. The mattress was awful. So go to bed drunk every night that way you don’t notice it. They are supposed to restock the mini fridge and snack every day. The first day they did but after that, never again. The staff are all friendly but the service was slow as ever. The first night, it took over 20 minutes to get a drink and that was even if you tipped $20. The food took a long time as well. If you tipped a couple dollars, they didn’t have much gratitude for that at all. Some of the staff go above and beyond but not most. The food was awful. Two night I didn’t even eat my dinner. It was bland and flavorless. The Mexican restaurant had decent food and the hibachi was amazing and that was all. There was literally minimal sushi as I think the hibachi was the only place a found it. I did not eat dinner at the buffet though. The lazy river was cool. The entertainment was mediocre and not very lively. I’ve been to a secrets in Mexico that was 1,000 times better. I’m sad and very disappointed as this was my boyfriends first time out of country and I wanted him to fall in love with all inclusive. He was disappointed. The beach was also dirty.

Friendsmas Trip 2025
Just got back from a 5 day/4 night stay in a Preferred Club suite; two couples and two identical rooms. We've traveled all over, and this place is top notch! The restaurants are decent, and the Preferred Club allows access to better liquor choices, which is a must for bourbon and scotch lovers. Also, the additional lounges, pools, etc. you get with PC were completely worth it to us. Shout out to our butler, Orlando, and our favorite bartender, Sammy! Sammy made me the best Manhattans and my wife the best lattes of the trip, hands down. Reservations are required at the Japanese hibachi restaurant, and Orlando got us the exact time we asked for (we didn't really need much else given our short trip). We liked it enough that we're planning on going back next year. I was hesitant, not having been to the DR before, but pretty much everything exceeded my expectations.

I’ll be back
The resort was an amazing time! The pools were beautiful and always a blast, and the beach was kept up perfectly — clean, relaxing, and absolutely gorgeous. The food options were great, and the buffet did not disappoint. I’ll definitely miss the fresh watermelon juice for sure lol! There were also a few amazing rock stars who truly stood out! Juan at the Marlin Bar (aka the beach bar) was number one — he made every moment fun with his great personality. Alex and Melvin at the pool bar were the life of the party and honestly made me not even want to leave! Julio Pío at the Showtime Bar and Nery at Coco Café were both so sweet and personable. And last but not least, Amaury — absolutely outstanding.
