Nov 29, 2025Perfect blend of relaxation and fun—excellent service, delicious food, and a stunning beach
I had an amazing stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana in November 2025. From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. Check-in was smooth, and we were greeted with a cool towel and friendly concierge service that immediately made us feel welcome. The resort grounds were beautifully landscaped, peaceful, and easy to navigate. We spent most of our time between the beach and the pool and never had an issue finding seats—there was always plenty of shade available. The pool area had an upbeat, lively vibe during the day with great music, but it still felt relaxing. There was even a nice quiet period after lunch if you wanted to nap or unwind. Angel provided exceptional service at the pool and was extremely friendly throughout our stay. The entertainment staff was another major highlight. They were energetic and engaging without being pushy, offering fun daytime activities like yoga, water aerobics, and beach volleyball. They also did an excellent job getting people involved and socializing, which added so much to the atmosphere. The food throughout the resort was high quality and delicious, with a wide variety of options. We especially loved the hibachi, Mexican, and grill restaurants. The Mediterranean/Italian restaurant wasn’t our favorite, and we didn’t try the French restaurant. Drinks were also excellent—there was a wide variety of cocktails, and all the frozen drinks were fantastic. We enjoyed the nightly shows, which featured very talented performers and added something fun to look forward to each evening. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the bed was extremely cozy. The beach itself was beautiful, with soft white sand and warm water. The resort did a great job managing and cleaning up sargassum, so the beach always looked well maintained. Security on the beach was visible and helped us feel safe. There are many vendors walking by selling souvenirs and excursions, but they were polite—once we declined, they moved on. We also took the Juanillo VIP excursion, which was very well organized. We loved snorkeling and swimming in the cenote and felt safe the entire time. Overall, Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana provided the perfect combination of relaxation and fun. The atmosphere was mostly couples with a calm, welcoming vibe, yet still lively enough during the day to keep things entertaining. Excellent service, beautiful grounds, great food, and a fantastic beach made this a truly memorable trip. I would absolutely return.

Secrets review
I just got back from Secrets, and it was an amazing experience. We did the preferred club for the resort. I would say it was worth it. We probably could have used our butler more but overall Ismael was very good when we did need him. Housekeeping was great, rooms were clean. Beach was amazing, yes there was some moss on the beach, but they did a really good job of cleaning it each day. At the main pool, Angel, Alex, Melvin, and Wilson were great. Angel delivered our drinks at our seats by the pool. He was very efficient and kind. Wilson and Angel were very energetic and fun to be around. Restaurants were good. This is how I would rank them in my opinion, 1. Himitsu Restaurant 2. Bluewater grill 3. El Patio 4. Olio Restaurant 5. Bordeaux. The Bordeaux did have the best appetizer the whole trip with their mussels. One thing I noticed was a majority of the restaurants it took a while for the servers to ask what we wanted to eat. I feel like they could shorten the time so that we could've ordered food sooner. But overall, such a great vacation. Every staff member was very respectful and friendly. Great trip will definitely be back!

First experience at a Secrets Adults only resort. Property well looked after although our room location was in a very noisy location. Food was okay but could have been better. Pool areas and bar staff very good. Nightly entertainment was well done. Major drawback was communication with lower level staff whose level of English comprehension was fair and they constantly were making mistakes. Housekeeping, room service, restaurant junior staff!

First DR Trip for my 26th birthday
Overall it was a nice trip very relaxing. I will say that this trip is really for the older crowd so if you’re 40 and above, this is more of your speed not for the young crowd. The food was OK. The drinks were a hit and miss meaning it was good some days and bad some days. Also the room itself was very, very nice and clean. Our hot water did go out a couple times the last 3 days of our stay and also the activities on the resort they were Not really exciting but I would recommend this resort for someone who wants to lay out for a tan where it’s calm and quiet and relaxing. This is not the type of resort for the party type fyi. The excursions outside of the resort was really fun especially monkey land! We paid through the airport and also when it comes to the restaurants in the resort they were OK but the food is mainly based on looks and it’s not on fulfilling your appetite so you don’t really get a actual full entrée. But overall, the best part of the resort I like was the candlelight dinner that they set up on the beach the steak was amazing. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. It made it feel very special on my birthday, but once again this resort is not for the young crowd mainly for the older crowd like retired 40 and above Also a lot of the staff or people there in general do not speak English so I would try to learn the basics of Spanish. There are different races of people there so not a lot of Americans, the taxis are kinda high and buying a souvenir as well but overall nice trip and good atmosphere and weather

We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and booked preferred club room. I am going to keep this short and sweet. Butler Ivalise was nonexistent and did absolutely NOTHING for our special anniversary. Resort was nice and most of remaining staff is sweet and helpful. Lacking night/entertainment and lunch food and day activities. Secrets maroma is the best place and we do NOT recommend this resort.
