As someone who was experiencing an all inclusive resort for the second time, I can say that my expectations were exceeded. Secrets Riviera is an amazing resort. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed by an amazing staff that will become part of your family for the remainder of the trip. They will guide you, make you laugh and smile, but most importantly they will make you feel right at home. Except- this is the best home you will ever have. The food is addicting, the drinks are refreshing and flavorful, and the daily events add in a boat load of fun. My family and I had an amazing time and our week-long trip was over way too fast. I recommend Secrets Riviera to all and will only ask that if you do end up going…. PLEASE TAKE ME WITH YOU!

Honeymoon for the Win
Great little all inclusive off the beaten path. Close enough to the city that you can get into town fairly easily, but far enough away that you’re not bombarded with tourist traps. Amazing staff, great food options, and despite sharing a resort with a more party friendly side, quiet and relaxation is still easy to find

Relaxing by day/fun at night
Everyone made you feel welcome and comfortable. Food was very good. And the shows were very entertaining. Make sure you look at the schedule every day you won't want to miss a single thing!

Nov 03, 2025Family Fun in the Sun at a Great Value
This location, although not known for its beach experience, is convenient to Cancun airport, taking only 25 minutes to get there. The arrival experience is very good, and consistent with a Secrets Preferred check-in that is calm, relaxing and fully explained. The property is not huge, so a good option for those with limited mobility. Grounds are well-kept and tropical, and the variety of scenery is good. Indoor atmosphere is good--clean, and well-designed. Restaurants have unique designs and provide good variety of both foods and visual experiences. Our 4th floor ocean view room was comfortable and roomy. The bathroom area was a little lacking on hooks to hang more than two towels--so wet bathing suits had to be dealt with creatively (outside on the balcony). Closet space and hangers are adequate, and the safe worked flawlessly. Robes (but no slippers in our room, which is no big deal), plush towels, toiletries, and dual rainhead showers in the extra large shower were great. Mini fridge was perfect and stocked daily. Plenty of bottled water each day, snacks, Nespresso coffee/espresso (awesome!). Bed was a little soft for us, but the quilts and pillows were cozy. We never used the balcony hot tub. This vacation included 3 rooms -- a family spree we sprung for, and the cost made it possible. We knew this was NOT Secrets Akumal, so it met our expectations and that of our (less traveled) kids quite well. The property was clean, and the nightly raccoon visit hardly found a snack in the waste cans by the elevators. It was a bit more noisy on the Secrets side that we expected, but that was not a problem because the poolside entertainment staff made it all worthwhile. They were simply great. Not to be outdone, the talented performers in the Showstopper theater were amazing in each event. Service was very good in each restaurant, bar, and poolside butlering (Mario and Daniel were stellar!). Amenities, although not at the same level as Akumal and Playa Blanca, were solid, and again, represented a very good value. I would recommend this for an adult family trip (ours are in their 30s).

Great place to stay!
I loved this resort more than I thought I would. Really love the blue water and this one does lack that but Luis on the entertainment team really made up for that. He kept us laughing!! The food is amazing, bed was comfortable. The preferred lounge was really nice. They took great care of us. We never made it to Breathless pool, but love the Secrets pool alot. I was not ready to leave!! Will be back.
