Beautiful resort with amazing staff and delicious food. Wish the beach was better but overall we would come back and stay here again.

We are unfortunately leaving disappointed from this resort. Loud construction happening from 6am-8pm, which is in building1 if you booked with a travel agent maybe try to request to not be in that building right now, got our room changed, they wanted to move our room right next to the one we were in but we got changed to building 3. But even then all hours of the night you’re hearing carts go by for room service, one morning at 430am it sounded like the kitchen was right outside our room. Every day we were being woken up at 530/6am from some kind of noise (not travellers). So if you want to sleep bring ear plugs. Top it off my husband and I both got sick, recommend bringing lots of Imodium and pepto. I’ve been to Mexico multiple times and never got sick except this time at this resort. Make sure you bring lots of money to tip your servers or you won’t get very good service by the pool. Food wasn’t that good. Drinks are totally watered down and they do not have premium alcohol. Was hoping for some coronas or modelo by the beach but they don’t serve it. You ask for premium alcohol and they say they ran out or it’s watered down. we got a swim out room, couldn’t use the pool because it was colder than an ice plunge. They say people on the breathless side can’t come to the secrets side but they do. Also you can’t leave your stuff on chairs by the pool for more than 45 mins unattended or they will take your things to lost and found. We tried to make the most of it but unfortunately left very disappointed. We will not be returning. Pros: the staff are super nice on the secrets side. Lino at rose water, Daniel and Mario by the pool and Luis the entertainment guy was fantastic! Cruz our pool server was top notch! On the breathless side in the restaurants they don’t seem to really care, probably because it’s mostly younger adults indulging in a lot of alcohol. Definitely try the Woodstove pizza on the beach on the breathless side, really the only food we enjoyed all week. If you’ve already booked and watching the reviews like we did and was getting really excited thinking you were going to the best resort in Mexico don’t get your hopes up like we did. But try and make the most of it!

If you have other options , please stay away from this resort. The beach area is a disaster, the color of the water is dark brown , its not due to sea weed. There is a construction next door close to building 1 . So if you pay for ocean front you will be rewarded with loud noise, loud music until 11:30 pm curtesy of construction next door. The management of this resort needs to walk the property and attend to the needs of the guests better, we called multiple times asking to be moved to another room and what we got was - sorry , there is nothing we can do. This Secrets resort is not up to the standards of this brand. We are platinum members and the treatment we received was worth a penny. We do want to thank Mar, Jose , Nadel at Rosewater for excellent service. They made our stay bearable

Serenity at Secrets - Make it your Serendipity!!!!
Currently staying at Secrets Riviera - where every expectation is exceeded. The atmosphere is super relaxing and to pick it up a notch you can always visit the Breathless resort just next door. The food is next level - loving the civichi menu at Rosewater, have tried Coquette - amazing ambiance, food and service! Cannot wait for more 5 star cuisine!! Even the buffet at spoons have been amazing. Shout outs to Mario our pool service concierge - any request is his pleasure!!! Karla is a sunny delight , so warm and welcoming, I hope your success exceeds your pleasant nature! Thank you Luis and Melinda for the fun activities and Lorena our UVC concierge! The spa staff is fantastic Fern you are the best - reach for the stars and keep making art! I love it here Secrets is the place to stay, I cannot wait to write more this place is amazing!!!

Such a nice, relaxing vacation
This resort is beautiful in every respect. We had a King Suite Ocean Front and loved having the separate living room and extra 1/2 bath. The services were second to none! Our every need was met with a smile and very gracious attitudes. The Secrets pool is very nice and Luis keeps the people active and entertained. Daily music on the pool deck was lovely. Mar met our every need/request by the pool for food and drinks. She is a very special lady!!! We loved her! The only drawback is that we couldn't go into the ocean due to heavy seaweed . The beach is beautiful soft sand, but we could not go into the water. So happy for the lovely pool! The restaurants are all very good. We loved our stay.
