A beautiful and lively resort that is highly recommended! Everything still feels quite new, and the overall service was exceptional. The beach and grounds are absolutely stunning, and the staff were very attentive to all our needs. A special thank you to our concierge, Benji, who was incredible throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure our experience was both relaxing and memorable. Extremely professional and attentive, he personally took care of every request we had. A shout out as well to Freddy for his outstanding service by the pool. The food and restaurant service were generally good, though there is room for improvement when compared to the sister property, Secrets Akumal. The spa experience was excellent, and the entertainment, both day and night, was consistently good with high end performers. The resort has many social areas and is ideal for group and family vacations. All in all, a fantastic stay!!

Anniversary
Mauro is an excellent pool bartender. Mauricio and Arturo Mendez were very good pool and beach servers. Their attitudes and commitment to our enjoyment is a reason I would return.

In My Post-Secrets Depression Era
Just returned from an incredible first (but not last) visit to Secrets Playa Blanca. There were six of us celebrating my husband's birthday. We had all been to Secrets Akumal before-- we got married there in 2021-- and absolutely loved it. Secrets Playa Blanca has the slight advantage for over the top service, food, and amenities. Preferred Club is totally worth is at this property! The only thing I missed about Akumal was the poolside food experience-- there was always something going on the grill. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we will absolutely be back. Our butlers Gloria and Martin were so responsive, helpful, and generous. They decorated our room for my husband's birthday, made a reservation for a special tequila dinner for the six of us, booked our hydrotherapy appointment, and anticipated our every need. Elias and Jeyson kept us coming back to the Preferred pool every single day. Javier, Marco, Alexis, and Estrella made my husband's birthday tequila dinner at El Patio unforgettable. Daniela at the Preferred bar was so warm and lovely. And Isrrael at Himitsu went out of his way to accommodate our friend with a food allergy. The one day we did go to the beach, Jorge was so wonderful. The service is what truly sets this property apart!

Incredible stay at the cleanest resort with an amazing staff!
We had an incredible stay at this resort — everything exceeded our expectations, especially the staff. Special shoutouts to Angel at check-in, Juan who kindly showed us to our room, Michael who helped us book our cabana, and Yaya who made our cabana day truly unforgettable. Diego at the swim-up bar, Melvin, and all of the nightly bartenders at Rendezvous were fantastic, as was Adelu at the beach bar on the right end of the beach. Everyone went above and beyond to make our trip special. As a couple of two women, we were never made to feel uncomfortable or treated differently. We stayed in a Junior Ocean View Suite in Building 9 on the fourth floor. The location was perfect — close to everything with a stunning view. The only downside was that you can hear quite a bit of noise from the hallway, but it wasn’t enough to take away from our experience. We weren’t part of the Preferred Club, which we didn’t think would matter based on other reviews, but it would’ve been nice to have drink service while relaxing by the pool instead of having to get up and go to the bar (definitely a first-world problem!). The servers mainly focus on Preferred Club guests. Room service food was incredibly bland, but all of the restaurants were delicious — we didn’t have a single bad meal when dining out. However, do not expect much from the room service food. The resort itself was absolutely spotless. We were so impressed by the level of upkeep and attention to detail. Every night, we saw staff washing the cushions on all the beds, constantly wiping down tables, and even picking up leaves the moment they fell on the walkway. The cleanliness and care throughout the property were unmatched. Overall, an incredible stay — beautiful resort, exceptional staff, and a relaxing atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!
