  Where Exceptional Design Meets Genuine Hospitality

  Walking around the spectacular gardens, pools, fountains and outdoor spaces it is hard to believe that this resort is so new. The design is fully accessible and yet there are wonderful spaces and little surprises all throughout the resort, from the lobby to the ocean. The sand beach is lovely and the palapas and beach furniture top notch. This Secrets has amazing staff, super attentive, happy and engaging. The food is superb and sensitive dietary needs always treated with care and patience. We highly recommend the tequila tasting experience and aqua sports. Can't wait to return!

  Beautiful Resort, But Not Equipped for Groups or Special Celebrations

  We visited Secrets Playa Blanca for seven nights with a group of 13 to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. We are UVC members and have stayed at many Secrets and Impression resorts, so we were very excited to finally try this property. While the resort itself is beautiful and some staff were outstanding, several repeated issues made this a disappointing trip for such an important celebration. The Good: Our butlers, Duran and Gustavo, were exceptional. They did everything possible to help our group, even when resort policies limited what they could do. The pool staff were all fantastic. Some stand outs were pool concierges, Juan Carlos and Elias at the infinity and preferred pools. And waitstaff Martin, Henry, and Santiago remembered our orders and made our days by the pool enjoyable. The rooms and grounds were lovely. We received great housekeeping and turndown service from Paola each day. The white and powdery beach is very picturesque (little or no seaweed during our trip). Food was good most of the time with a few misses here and there. Breakfast at Seaside, and dinner service was a bit slow, even when dining in smaller groups. Coco Cafe staff were prompt and friendly. Overall, I was pleased with the food quality, options, and variety throughout the resort. The Issues: Group dining was a major problem. Despite our butler's best efforts, every attempt to dine together was a challenge. At Bordeaux, I was told we had to purchase at least $300 of wine just to secure a table for our group. Our butlers later confirmed a reservation for 13, so I assumed it was handled. But when we arrived, we were still split apart at separate tables with slow and inconsistent service. At Himitsu on our final night together, we were again seated apart and divided by a wall, even though there was visible space to combine tables. We were told it "wasn’t possible.” It felt like the resort was simply not prepared, or willing, to accommodate a group of our size unless we made additional purchases at a substantial cost. For a resort that hosts weddings and special events, this was a surprising letdown. Secrets Playa Blanca is beautiful, and when things were good, they were really good. However, the resort does not seem equipped to handle larger groups or special celebrations. We will continue visiting other Secrets resorts, but this property needs improvements in restaurant coordination, communication, and group service before we would consider bringing another group here.

  There is no secret that Secrets has it all!

  A truly wonderful experience with our family and friends at an amazing resort with impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in Building 3, which offered a great location and made everything about our stay feel easy and enjoyable. The dining, entertainment, and bar options provided plenty to choose from, and every part of our experience felt thoughtfully handled. Our butlers, Eddy and Rafa, were outstanding. Even though we never had the chance to meet Rafa in person, he made sure every detail behind the scenes was taken care of. And Eddy felt like a lifelong friend from the moment we arrived. His attention to detail, warm personality, and constant thoughtfulness made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. We also want to recognize Alfredo, who served our family at my niece’s rehearsal dinner. We were all so impressed that my brother requested him again for the wedding reception, and he delivered exceptional service both times. His professionalism and kindness added something truly special to each event. The incredible staff here is what elevates this resort from great to exceptional. Everyone works so hard to make sure everyone is having an amazing vacation in this gorgeous resort! Y

  Amazing Resort

  The resort was beautiful. We were in PC Building 2, Demi and Manny were our butlers and they were so friendly and helpful. Always greeted us by name and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were great and service was amazing. Diago and Endy at the preferred club bar were both outstanding. Diago made wonderful drinks behind the bar and Endy was our server, she was there checking on us before our glasses were empty. Christopher and Akemy at the beach bar were a lot of fun and did their job amazingly. The buffet for breakfast was great with a lot of options, we had Hibran as our waiter for a couple days and he was very attentive and so nice. Our whole experience was outstanding. We will be back
