    Nice resort. Could really use an update. BE FOREWARNED about the UVC salespeople

    Our stay at Secrets Papagayo was, for the most part, quite enjoyable. We had 2 major complaints. First, the furniture, both in the room and poolside, really needs replacing. We had to place extra pillows on our couch so as to provide some padding and not sink down. The cushions on the lounge chairs at the pools have very little padding left. Furthermore, more shade is needed poolside. If you didn't get out early and place some towels on chaise lounges under an umbrella, you were out of luck. I think only about half the lounge chairs have umbrellas. Our other complaint has to do with the Unlimited Vacation Club representatives. These people tell you about all these VIP benefits and credits. Be aware that these people are really just trying to get you in a room and pressure you into buying into their vacation club. We figured it out early enough and told them to take a hike.

    Absolutely amazing!!

    Secrets in Costa Rica was amazing. Emily in activities is absolutely amazing. She is very kind and loves to make sure you enjoy your time. They need a little better transport system but with the hills I understand why they need to use the mini vans. I would come back here again.

    A true peaceful getaway!

    The resort is beautifully located in the Papagayo Gulf. We stayed in a Preferred Club Ocean Suite — spacious, quiet, with a lovely ocean-view terrace. The room was serviced twice daily, and the complex is very well organized with several transport options. The resort offers five restaurants with varied and refined cuisine, and two pools — a relaxing Zen pool near the spa and a more lively one. Evening entertainment and shows were enjoyable. We booked excursions with nexttripcr.com, a local company, and had an amazing experience! The activities were well organized and included Sloth forest, ATVs, zipline, and a hike to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. The guides were friendly and very informative, and the scenery was breathtaking. We also arranged hotel-to-airport transfers at a very good price. Highly recommend nextrip and stay at secret papagayo for anyone looking for a memorable adventure!

    The people are nice and the service is good, but hotel needs updgrading, it's very outdated. Most of the food is not up to par.

    Massage with Ingrid was excellent!! 5 stars I give her, one of the best massages I have ever had!! The spa was so clean

    Excellent massage Ingrid was very good and professional!! Would highly recommend doing a massage at the spa! Very happy
