Nov 19, 2025Don’t buy the club level in fact save your money don’t stay !
.•The Food is shocking • The Staff are there for the tip • the Club level surplus is a scam • No preferred guest area outside and the lounge inside is shocking with stale food up the wall. If you are a usual preferred guest you might be in for a rude awakening • Checkout was quick , only because they didn’t have the courtesy of asking how our stay was. •The only redeeming part of the the resort is the view , and the coffee shop, where the serve great cookies and good coffee

Everything about Secrets Papagayo was the perfect getaway vacation. We enjoyed everything the resort had to offer, including the restaurants, daily activities, and access to excursions available.

Fantastic resort
Best all inclusive resort we've stayed at to date. Great food, very clean and very friendly staff that went above and beyond our expectations. Would happily go back again!

Enjoyable retreat for fun and relaxation
Secrets Papagayo was an excellent location for our University friends '50th Getaway'. The resort had an excellent combination of quiet places to get away to catch up with old friends, as well as excellent restaurants, pools and ocean areas. Our group especially liked the live music for those that ate outdoors. Every evening seemed to have a new live performance on a different instrument (cello, saxophone, guitar...) that really added to the ambiance of the evenings. There were a couple of times where our conversations were interrupted by dancers performing randomly at dinner or by the pool that seemed to be out of no where, but talking to other guests, this seemed to be something that other visitors really enjoyed.

Beautiful Resort and great Adventures!
We stayed at Secrets Papagayo and had a wonderful experience. Our room was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful nature the perfect place to relax and unwind. The property truly has everything you need during your stay. For some of our activities, we coordinated a few things through nexttrip.com, and everything went smoothly. We had a great time surfing in Tamarindo, enjoyed an exciting ATV adventure, and visited the rainforest where we were lucky to spot sloths. Each experience added something special to our trip. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return in the future.
