    Good stay

Secrets moxche did not make the best first impression on us due to them putting us in a inclusive (disabled) room over looking a very busy noisy courtyard, we did however get moved after complaining to a better room so unsure why was not given this in first place. All the entertainment team at this hotel are brilliant and work so hard. Gabriela, Axel and Monica stood out, they were so friendly and made our time at moxche special. They are a credit to the team. The buffet breakfast gets a bit boring for just standard moxche guests and wish we had a different place to go to eat but otherwise the food was good. Hotel is very clean and staff all lovely.

    Moché Theater Experience

Every evening they host a nightly performance the entertainment crew consisting of; Christen, Regina, Miguel, Sergio, Sebastian, Ilse, and Ari. They excel at welcoming the guests and putting lights on the dark steps. They truly personalize the experience by remembering familiar faces and always say hello. They also put on the after party the gypsy club. 11/10 for the entertainment team at Moxcé for friendliness and hospitality.

Overall, I have stayed at several all-inclusive's and this one missed the mark on more than a couple occasions.

My wife and I visited Secrets Moxche in December 2025 for a 4 day stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have been to several all-inclusive in the DR, Jamaca, and others in Mexico so we know what to expect. Upon arrival we were welcomed with towels, the staff was helpful with our luggage, and the lobby area was very nice. However, despite already upgrading to the preferred club to get an ocean view, we were still giving a half an hour sales pitch for further upgrades. Not a big deal but we were starving from our travels and had not eaten in several hours and usually the staff at other all-inclusive would escort us to a dining option. In this case it was 5 PM and no dining options were open. We asked the staff about this and were informed that the dinner restaurants would be opening at 6 PM, not a big deal we can get settled in our room, change clothes and get ready for dinner. Arrived to our room took a look around, very nice room, spacious, etc., then we walked over to our balcony and the upgraded view was of the construction site of the resort next store. Luckily we were on the top floor so we had a half view of the ocean, but non the less, not what we were expecting. By this point it was a little before 6PM and we were both starving. Went to the first restaurant and it was an 1.5 hour wait, went to the second and it was a 2 hour wait, went to the next restaurant and the same. By the time we waited in line at each restaurant and picked up a pager it was around 7PM and they were offering street tacos out by the pool, so we gave up on formal dinning for the night and ate the street tacos. The next day we went to the roof top restaurant, only a 15-20 minute wait for breakfast. The staff was nice and the food and service were good. The view was awesome. After breakfast we walked around to the pools, got some drinks and went to the beach. Plenty of pools with private areas and an artificial beach, very nice. Drinks were good and there was a food stand by the pool that served chicken sandwiches, wings, etc. Quick and easy lunch. My wife had read online that we could make a reservation at the hibachi restaurant so we decided to check in at the front desk to make a reservation to avoid the long dinner wait times and there were no reservations available any time during our stay. We stayed at the pool for a little bit longer (David by the pool was very attentive) and noticed people lining up at the restaurants around 5-5:30 PM. My wife and I decided to run up and try and get ready quickly to try and get in line. We were too late, by the time we got back down stairs all the restaurants were 1.5-2 hour waits. I went ahead and grab a pager and we decided to just get a taco to hold us over. I also went to the front desk to ask if there were any dining options available right now with no wait just in case I was missing something and there were not. We did manage to get into the Italian restaurant after about 1.5 hrs. The service was good and the food was average. The nightly entertainment was an on stage singing performance in the theater. It was an interesting concept and the female singer was very talented. Had a drink or two at the pool bar then went to bed. Our last day my wife and I already decided that we had enough of the formal dining wait times and we just planned to order room service. Ate breakfast at the buffet. No wait, food was pretty good for a buffet and the waiter was attentive. Found a good spot with a hot tub and relaxed for a couple hours. Moved over to the main pool which had an excellent view of the beach and grabbed a couple drinks. Started to rain a little bit so we went to get ready for lunch and had planned to go to the restaurant by the beach and main pool. We walked into the restaurant and waited for a few minutes but were not addressed by the staff. There were several other couples/groups waiting as well and one informed me that they were told the restaurant was closed due to the rain. We decided to stick around and wait the rain out and after about 30 minutes a staff member stated she could seat us in a few minutes. Eventually we were seated. Our waiter was fast, friendly and attentive. The table had a decent view of the ocean and overall the food was good. After lunch we walked around a bit, down the beach, spent a little more time at the pools and headed up to place our room service order for later (in case there was a wait). We anticipated that room service may have a bit of a delay so we put in our order around 4:30-5PM using the app. Around 6PM we received a text that stated our order was received. Thought that was odd but maybe it was to notify us that it is on the way. That was not the case, we did receive the order around 7-7:30. The staff did keep the minifridge stocked once a day, so we had ample beverages. The salads were ok, but the ribs were terrible and for some reason there really isn't any good deserts at any of the restaurants or from room service. My wife and I were hanging out, eating, watching a little tv, had planned to get to bed a little early since our ride was going to be there at 8AM to take us to the airport. Then around 8:30-9 we started hearing loud music and base, furniture moving, etc. from above our room. It turns out the resort was having a party/wedding on the roof right above our room (we were on the top floor). The commotion ended around midnight and we were able to get some rest. We checked out early in the AM and the resort staff gave it one last try to sell us on an upgrade/another stay, then we were off to the airport. Overall, I have stayed at several all-inclusive's and this one missed the mark on more than a couple occasions.
