  Our girls trip that was 20 years in the making!

  I recently stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun with my best friend of over 30 years. It had been more than 20 years since our last girls’ trip, so this getaway was way overdue. Between work, motherhood, and just everyday life, we both needed some sun, good food, and laughter. We stayed five nights in a Junior Suite with a swim-out pool, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we’d picked the right place. The staff were so welcoming, greeting us with sparkling wine and cool towels while someone handled our bags. Check-in was smooth and easy, and we instantly felt relaxed. The resort is beautiful! Super clean, peaceful, and very well kept. You can tell they really care about maintaining the property. We found ourselves stopping just to admire the surroundings more than once. Our villa concierge, Katya, was an absolute standout! She was friendly, attentive, and she was always one step ahead. She walked us through how everything in the room worked, made sure our morning coffee came with the milk we liked, arranged our breakfast deliveries, and even brought us floaties for the pool (which we used every day!). She also texted us the resort itinerary every morning so we could plan our day. Katya truly made everything easier for us, she was the best!! At breakfast, we met Alejandro at the buffet on our first day, and from that morning on, he was our guy! He always greeted us with a huge smile, remembered our preferences (green juice for the win!), and even checked in on when he saw us by the pool to bring drinks or see if we needed anything. He made us feel so like family, we already miss him! The breakfast buffet had tons of great options, but our favourite was the “Mexican Cravings” section. The huaraches made fresh right in front of you were amazing and definitely the highlight of each of our mornings. Dinner options were also excellent. Every restaurant we tried was great, and while we didn’t manage to book a teppanyaki table (it’s super popular), the French and Italian restaurants totally made up for it! Both are must tries. The daily activities were so much fun and thoughtfully planned out by the entertainment staff. We loved watching the pool volleyball and basketball games from our floaties. We joined in on a painting session in the garden, and enjoyed the nightly entertainment. Mexican Night was one of our favourites fresh churros, live music, and such a fun atmosphere. There’s truly something for everyone here, from quiet relaxation to lively shows and even silent dance parties that go late into the night. Pro tip: Download the Hyatt Inclusive app!! It has everything from the daily event schedule to restaurant info and dress codes, and you can make bookings right from your phone. Super helpful! This trip ended up being everything we needed. It was relaxing, fun, and full of laughs. It was the perfect way to reconnect with each other and ourselves. We’re already planning to go back… and this time we won’t wait another 20 years!

  Will Return Annually For These Reasons

  This is our 4th year at Secrets Maroma and we already booked next year! We go every year for our anniversary with 2 other couples and we countdown to this week annually. The resort continues to invest in itself, constant upkeep and renovating, it’s always immaculately clean and the grounds are perfectly manicured. The rooms are comfortable, with daily service and turndown, and they figure out your favorites and stock your “wet bar” area with them! The beds are the best nights sleep we get and they have 3 different pillow types you can request between! The grounds include well maintained pools, pool bars, fantastic beach with both pool and beach servers, bars throughout, including inside the pool. We had preferred club level so we got even more amenities, it was like we were pampered royalty. Outside of the gorgeous resort itself, however, are the people. They really are key reason for our return - the nicest people who go above and beyond on service quality. They get to know you and start to learn what you’re your routine and favorites are so they can proactively and intuitively keep their guests happy. Some standouts on our favorite employees: 1. Bramdon - hotel Concierge. Bramdon goes above and beyond, for first time guest and returning guests alike. You can see his determination to be excellent, he works hard and stays until the job is done! He’s always solving any issues he is made aware of, or just finding ways to make anything better than it already is. He even comes and visits us on the beach or in the pool to make sure everything in our room is ok, or really just to make sure that we are ok. He’s so nice, thoughtful, welcoming, and helps us enjoy so much that the resort has to offer. We hope to see him when we return next year! 2. Manny (Manuel)- pool and beach concierge. Manny is another hard worker who goes above and beyond his job to keep his guests happy. He always has a smile on his face even when he’s sweating running around on the beach to keep his guests happy. His level of service is top notch! 3. Mateo at the preferred club. Mateo started every morning we had on the right foot. He served us breakfast or sometimes lunch at the PC club and after one day, knew we loved a morning toast - our champagne was waiting for us before we even sat down! And then our favorite cocktails, breakfast choices, and dessert. We never went to another breakfast venue because Mateo wouldn’t be there! Efrain and Gabriela at PC club were also fantastic, excellent service and hospitality. 4. Chef Juan Mora worked with some the staff to create extremely special and DELICIOUS meals for our celebrations, a special lunch at PC or plates sent to our beach cabana or our rooms when it was raining. His cooking is so tasty and he’s the nicest guy too, thank you for keeping our belly’s happy! 5. Yesenia at Humitsu - thank you!! Our favorite dinner venue is Humitsu and Yesenia made every night so great, from securing us a table for 6, to special samples plates or a platter of fresh tuna sashimi caught that day!! - Yesenia was always so happy to see us and checked on us many times to make sure all was well. Thank you Yesenia, you make Humitsu a great place to dine! A few others that we loved, Carla also at PC Antonio at Humitsu Guillermo building concierge Can’t wait to return next year!

  A little bit of love in each soul

  Concierge Daniel, Building 23 Daniel was extremely attentive and did an outstanding job helping my fiancée coordinate our engagement. He went above and beyond always to ask if we needed anything or if there was anything he could do for us. The Mexican hospitality in this resort is outstanding. Daniel, along with CARLA, the wedding planner, kept in touch with my now fiancée to book and plan such an unforgettable engagement. I thank God for all our blessings and for placing Daniel and Carla in our lives.

  Birthday Trip October 2025

  This resort went above and beyond my expectations. CUSTOMER SERVICE was 20/10. Our concierge, Felipe, WAS THE BEST!! I was at this resort to celebrate my birthday with friends. Felipe made sure all my birthday preparations were on point. From my room to the beach to the Onyx dinner, I was celebrated like a queen. Every restaurant that we attended, service was excellent. The food, on point, and if it wasn't, they would immediately want your input on how to make it better. The beach BEAUTIFUL!!! I took photos and Issac, the resort photographer, was the best!!! He made sure we had enough variety to choose the best photos. The only thing that I would suggest is to not to put anyone in the hospitality room with construction going on. The noise was horrendous. I would be remiss in mentioning that, depending on what time of year that you go, the mosquitoes are fierce. Wear mosquito repellent and enjoy your trip!! Truly, I did not want to leave.

  Memorable celebration at Secrets Maroma! Highly recommend!

  Beautiful, spacious, clean and great service! Celebrated my 26 year vow renewal! Wedding coordinator Karla was amazing and there every step of the way. Isaac, photographer, did a thorough, professional and great job on photos! Highly recommend!
