The location is second to none with ocean front views from every room. Hotel is starting to show its age, or lack of maintenance, the main elevators from the restaurant level to the pool/beach level were disgraceful. One was out of service for the 2 weeks we were there, a second one would only allow 4 people on before it decided it was overloaded, and the third and last one had to service 7 floors of rooms and everybody going from the restaurants to the pools or back. We found the food poor to mediocre with some exceptions. The beef was low quality with a mongolian beef dish in the asian restaurant totally inedible. The staff were the highlight of our trip. Severo serving beach customers worked tirelessly all day in the heat with a big smile. Andrea in the market cafe greeted us with a beautiful smile by name every morning. Venecia is the fastest and most organized omelet maker I have ever seen. Griselda had our room in immaculate condition promptly every morning before 9am. Amayrani in the Bordeaux restaurant was especially helpful fulfilling our order. We have been to this resort 3 times and since Hyatt took over the quality seems to have slipped.

The Staff are amazing! Everyone excels at customer service and friendliness! Plus the resort is amazing! The best pool and beach! Great Food and Beverage! Wonderful Rooms! Can't wait to go back next year!!!

Amazing trip to Mexico
The service is excellent at Secrets Huatulco. A special shout out to the Castaway staff. Yvonne, Stefany and Eddi were awesome. They made us feel welcomed and special. Yogtan was amazing as a poolside server and Daniel at Bordeaux was great. Thank you Roberto for your all your help.

Exceptional service. Quality and variety of food experience was outstanding and better than I expected for an all inclusive resort. The beach location is beautiful experience felt safe.
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at Hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room. This could refer to but not limited to high school students or college students booking multiple rooms. The hotel reserves the right to deny lodging to any reservations of this type.
- AdvisoryThis pool renovation has an expected completion date of Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and during this time, the main pool and the Marlin swim-up bar will be unavailable to guests. Throughout this period, the second infinity pool will remain open for guests.
