Timeshare Trash
The real Secret is that this place is a low class timeshare property disguised as a resort. Our nightmare started at check-in when the agent thought we were only staying for a night. Once our five night stay was confirmed, he proceeded to tell us about the dress code for dinner. For indoor dining they require long pants and shoes for men which was completely opposite of the high quality resort wear in our luggage. Woman had a different dress code. Keep in mind temperatures in this part of Mexico remain at or above 35 degrees celsius. Many of the guest did not pack long pants. While our room had a nice view of the ocean, the decor was old and it smelled of mildew. Dining venues lacked ambiance and food was typically below par. Even the ice cream is cheap. Drinks at most venues were often served in plastic which doesn’t work well with wine and other adult beverages. Service was slow but acceptable. Most staff were not capable of basic English, the primary language of most of the guest. Gym facilities were inadequate for the capacity of the property. The property might be appropriate for someone wanting only the basics but we expected at least an average quality resort and were totally disappointed. We definitely will not return to this property and we are not keeping it a Secret.

Beautiful location and friendly staff
We stayed at this resort as part of a small wedding group. I'd read the reviews in advance, so I anticipated the property being a bit tired - so there were no surprises there. The staff was great overall. We were in building 3 and there was a sound in the distance that was off and on the entire stay. It sounded like something steam-powered. We couldn't hear it inside the room, thankfully, but it could get irritating if you were trying to enjoy your balcony. My tips: • Food is subjective, but I really enjoyed the catch of the day at Oceana, the mahi mahi at Bordeux, and the sushi at Spice. • The sand is quite coarse, so water shoes are helpful. • The Coco Cafe is kind of hidden away, but it's the best place for coffee. • The best bars (and bartenders) were at the lobby bar and Sugar Reef. • The water closet and shower area are only semi-covered by window frosting, so you get a fairly clear view in/out. These also happen to be located near the exterior door, so have a system in place with your partner. lol.

Beautiful place. Great service.
Still a beautiful place to rest and enjoy nature. Captain Ivonne was, as always, very nice, friendly, caring and professional. Our housekeeper, Yolanda, was amazing. She took care of our room early in the morning, just as we requested her, and always did an excellent job. We have been coming to this wonderful place for 11 years. Sadly, now we notice that the Preferred Club has declined totally: even after requesting our "daily upgraded perks (peanuts and Pringles)" every single day, they were only delivered ONCE! Our advise: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY paying extra for Preferred Club.

Relaxing and Restful
The Resort is starting to show its age some and Not all of the Restaurants were available all of the time which created long waits for dinners. Most Staff were very good and friendly but would be more helpful if many of them had at least a basic English Language understanding. Views are great and pools and Ocean both very enjoyable. A nice quiet part of Mexico.
