The Spice restaurant is delicious. Also thanks to Caty who made my bed every night.
The rooms are spotless, the food is incredibly good, the amenities are nice and comfortable and most importantly the people and customer service are great. This hotel is synonym of quality. Can't wait to visit again!!

I will be back! ✨💛✨
This was my first time to Huatulco, and my first time at Secrets Resort Huatulco! I fell in love with the town and the resort immediately. A shuttle picked us up from the airport. It’s less than a 30 minute ride and it’s a very pretty ride through green trees and foliage. Arriving at the resort, all of the staff was so friendly and hospitable. Our room had a beautiful ocean view. I think all of the rooms have an ocean view overlooking the incredible bay and surrounding hills. The food is fantastic. They have several restaurants to choose from and so many different varieties of food. Everything I tasted was wonderful. I got hooked on their croissants and couldn’t stop eating them! They have an E team That takes care of all the classes and activities There are so many of the staff to help, direct and motivate you to join in the activities. Danielle, Ximena, Amir, Antonio, and Pepe, just to name a few! Always there to help you find what classes you want to take or what activities you want to get involved in. They are amazing. So friendly, they always remember your name and just the kindest people. The rooms are all very nice and each has a large balcony that you can sit and watch the sunrise or sunset. One thing nice about this resort if you are not able to walk a great distance or walk up and downstairs, there are elevators and ramps everywhere so you can get around the entire resort with ease. Just thought I would mention that because the resort is very large and this is helpful for several people. My favorite part of my vacation was the beautiful water in the bay. It was at least 85° and small waves almost like a lake so you could actually stand in the water and enjoy it. That was so beautiful.

Overall an average hotel with above average views and daytime activities
Review • Resort o The location and views are amazing. We flew to Mexico City and stayed there for a few days because we are coming from NJ and there are no direct flights. Yes, the resort is older and needs some updates (they were doing work while we were there), but the views are amazing. The beach is walkable, the water is warm, there is a little restaurant on the beach and you can take a little trail over to another cove for some snorkeling. The pools are HUGE. No issues with getting a chair, but not all the chairs have shade. They should make more shade for sections of the pool. o Rooms: we were upgraded to a swim out. If you would not use the swim out, I would recommend staying with a higher room, so you can see the view better. We used the swim out each day, especially at night. The water is warm in the swim out. Our location was perfect, next to the beach and the pool bar/food. 1502. o Gym: not great. It is super small and a hike to get there. Not worth your time. I brought my travel yoga mat and did that instead outside, it was just like being in a hot yoga class. You can also walk the beach and participate in the activities. o Day Activities: Loved the activity staff. My favorite was Alejandro, he was super funny and very helpful, but all the staff was great. We did archery, volleyball, went out on the hobby cat, kayaking, etc. o Nighttime: unlike most other secrets we have been to, people go out later here. I think maybe because there are less Americans at the resort. There are no BIG shows at night, they normally have some type of music or band. They did dance lessons two nights and did a poker night. Could be more shows/activities at night, in my opinion. o Preferred club: we get it regardless, the club is nothing special at all, but it does come with a better spot for breakfast and higher shelf liquor. o Food: since hyatt bought out UVC the food has went down hill: also the men must wear long pants to eat inside at EVERY restaurant and I thought that was a little too much. Breakfast: coco café get your coffee from Matilde she was the best and if you are preferred club the breakfast and lunch was good at Castaways. Buffet: normally they sketch me out, but the breakfast is good. Just got an omelet. Lunch: we did barefoot grill: we kept missing the woodfire pizza, so that was sad. DO NOT order pizza from room service or the Italian restaurant, way too doughy. Lunch BURGERS and hotdogs are the best. Sometimes they did a big Paella and that was okay. Drinks: order the mango mezcalitia it was really good and I normally don’t do tequila. Preferred club has better vodka. Otherwise just beer with lunch or wine with dinner and I was surprised by the wine. Except the Rose, not too good, but the merlot was not too bad. Oceana: ate there twice and service was slow, but the food was good both times. Had ceviche, muscles, tuna, catch of the day, etc. Italian: was terrible food and terrible service. Took over an hour. Pasta way too much garlic and the pizza was way too doughy. French: was the best service and the best food. Everything was good. Mexican: traditional Mexican food for the area, was super good. • UVC o Our representative was Abrahiam, and he was amazing. We received a pre-travel email and a phone call. We were upgraded to swim out room. He sent several bottles of alcohol to the room and gave us a welcome gift. If you are preferred club you can get a pillow menu (was pretty cool) and a bottle of tequila or rum to the room as well. • Spa o Hydro therapy was not free. It was a good experience though. Bring sunglasses or a hat, it is super sunny up there. Amazing views. Great staff. My massage was fantastic. • Excursions through Amstar : my only complaint with the Amstar rep is they really did not tell us to bring enough money. o • Random Tips o Change your money over, it is hard for them to switch dollars. o Bring bug spray and bug bite cream. o You can go to town, it is safe, but only if you want to shop and eat local. Nothing really special to do there. There is a small church you can go inside of and look around. The shopping is overwhelming for me since I don’t speak Spanish and everyone is trying to get you to buy something and it is hard to bring stuff home. • Weather o Hot and hot and hot and sunny and more sunny and humid o Only rained for like 2 mins once.
