Our time at the resort was truly made great by the people on the entertainment team at the resort: Antonio, Ximena, Alejandro, Amir, Alejandra, Daniel, Julio. Not only did they keep us entertained and encouraged us to participate in the daily activities, they went above and beyond to get to know us. They helped us learn some Spanish even though they didn’t have to and my wife and I made lifelong friends with the people on this team. The location was beautiful, the rooms were very nice, the resort was very clean overall, and the food and service was great.

Fantastic Honeymoon Location
We went to Secrets Huatulco for our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier! The location and al rooms having a view of the ocean makes this resort second to none. We had the junior king suite with jacuzzi on the balcony and absolutely loved our room and soaking while listening to the ocean on the evening. Every single person that works at this resort is phenomenal. They’re friendly, accommodating, and do everything they can to make your trip the best on yet. The resort is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The people of Secrets Huatulco clearly take great pride in their work. We found no issues with noise, there was one evening that we could faintly hear the live band from the sky bar but it quickly faded into the background and was over before midnight either way. Our meals and service were fantastic and we wouldn’t change a thing. Finally - we made lifelong friends of the entertainment group at Secrets Huatulco. Antonio, Ximena, Alejandro, Alejandra, Amir, Daniel, Angel, and Julio were what truly made our trip special. Any tropical resort can feed you, give you a nice room, and plan shows but the people would spend your time with are what make all the difference. And these incredible people will have us coming back again and again, if only just for them. We can’t take the whole entertainment crew enough for everything and can’t wait to be back.

The food was super mediocre. The people that work there are wonderful. The beach is beautiful. The weather is extremely hot. The music in the sky bar is quite loud and unfortunately can be heard throughout the resort late at night. We found it difficult to have a more relaxing experience as a result of the pool music at the party pool and the night entertainment. I'm not sure why they don't have the bands playing at desires bar. The drinks and service at the lobby bar were exceptional. We also appreciated Carmen at tarramindo for breakfast

Medical services
Excellent experience. We needed to access the services of the doctor onsite during our visit and I couldn’t speak more highly of our experience from beginning to end. I only wish we could have the medical services we experienced at the resort available to us at home.

It is criminal to label this resort a 5-Star
It's borderline criminal to consider this place a 5 Star Resort. On its best day, it's a 2-star. That said, the staff are wonderful people. Everyone is always trying their best. The food is terrible. The Preferred Club Lounge is a small, muggy nook in a check-in office. Will return to Huatulco. Will never return to this specific Secrets.
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at Hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room. This could refer to but not limited to high school students or college students booking multiple rooms. The hotel reserves the right to deny lodging to any reservations of this type.
- AdvisoryThis pool renovation has an expected completion date of Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and during this time, the main pool and the Marlin swim-up bar will be unavailable to guests. Throughout this period, the second infinity pool will remain open for guests.
