Amazing views, good food and great service. Pools are beautiful large and aways a lounger available. Building is aging and could use some touch ups. Location to the town is close and we felt safe out and about. Castaways restaurant was our favourite- best seafood, phenomenal views and the best service. Thank you Ivonne, Stefani, Heidi Gabriela, Ruben, Abimael, Eddi, Adilene, Rodrigo, Monica Sergio and Kevin.

After a long day of travel we arrived after 7 pm to a room that had not been properly cleaned or restocked. Previous guests’ DNA was everywhere. Just gross. Had an ok dinner at Tamarindo (fajitas arrived cold?) and came back to our room. Was awakened at 5:30 a.m. to thumping sounds of disco on the beach directly below our room. A wedding took place earlier in the evening, which looked really special. I was awakened to a man screaming at the top of his lungs, “It’s ducking enough already!” We were told this morning that the wedding party partied all night to a DJ on the beach directly below us. I hope Secrets Huatulco made more money last tonight than they will lose from all of us paying $500 per night to stay in what is, as other reviewers note, a run down hotel that could barely claim to be a three star hotel. This was our second time giving the Secrets (Hyatt) chain a try. We will never stay at Secrets again. This morning I had to ask someone to put some beer in our fridge. He thought I wanted Pringles chips which, wait for it, are only available to ‘Select’ guests. Duck you, Hyatt.

Secrets Huatulco,, was average,,, the reason for my average review is because the Hotels upkeep was just that average,,, i feel that it’s not up to Secrets standards,, loose pool tiles, swim up Bar constantly ran out of liqueur , premium liquor, fresh fruits & their pool concierge just didn’t care ,, even though WE had preferred club. The ONLY Positive experience , making us feel welcomed & at Home were Vlady & Carlos from the Marlin swim up Bar ,, those two guys saved Secrets Huatulco from getting ONE star ,, let’s talk Restaurants & Food ,, Restaurants were really Good ,, so was the Food quality,, again the STAFF Saved Secrets from getting a ONE Star ,,,save your money and Don’t upgrade HERE at this Secrets ,, I’ve stayed at Maroma , Akumal , Tulum Secrets ,, Huatulco falls Short with their Management Staff , Club area & Hotel up keep

Major disappointment. Facility in major need of a cleaning, repair and upgrade. Overall food was disgusting. Specialty restaurants only open for dinner - Chef Natalia at Spice and Chef Livi at Bordeaux were amazing Staff was the saving grace - especially Willian, Jesus, Jose Luis, Jonathan and Evangelika. Zara from UVC was terrific

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS & LOCATION near the end of the trail. Wait until the resort has been renovated to visit
