  Perfect resort for large groups

  This resort exceeded my expectations. I brought a group of 26 women for a girls trip. We all stayed in the preferred club rooms in every room category from swim up, to Oceanview and beach front bungalow. Every room was amazing. My butler Leonardo went above and beyond to make sure we didn't want for anything. Elissa in the groups department was a pleasure to work with. Every thing that we asked for was delivered from our welcome party, dinner reservations, pool party and our private farewell beach barbeque. It was all top notch! The entertainment at the resort was fun my group went to the fire show, the Madonna show, karaoke and the dj parties. So much fun!!

  Beautiful resorts, very good food, drinks, entertainment, and friendly staff services. The environment is suitable for honeymooners or couples with special anniversary.

  Absolutely incredible vacation!! Top notch service, food & location!

  Secrets Cap Cana exceeded our expectations (and then some). The service, food, and resort were top notch. It is located only 20 minutes from the closest airport and is a very safe location. Our check in process was SO smooth and our room was ready immediately when we got there around 2-3pm. We were greeted by our Concierge (Cristian) who showed us to our room and gave us a rundown of the property. We weren’t even Preferred guests, but we felt like it all week because Cristian was an amazing concierge who helped us with anything we needed. He went above and beyond! Unfortunately the beach was not in great condition due to the excess seaweed from the storms that came through - but that is to be expected since we traveled during the hurricane season (and they had workers out there ALL DAY clearing the seaweed). That didn’t put a damper on our trip though because that is out of their control. The service, pools and food made up for it ten fold! We have been to 5 different Secrets resorts and this was definitely in our Top 2 and very comparable to the Maroma beach location when it comes to quality. The food was absolutely incredible - even the breakfast/lunch buffet was delicious and had SO much variety. They would make fresh seafood (get the shrimp) right in front of you at the World Market cafe for lunch…best seafood I had there! We tried all of the other restaurants as well and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food & service. The entertainment and shows were amazing every night and the lobby bar was a lot of fun. The entertainment is all what you make of it! The bartenders in the lobby bar were incredible at crafting drinks…the espresso martinis were phenomenal (shoutout to Marlon & Henry)!! Also I suggest trying a blended fruity drink called “The Sammy Sosa.” We actually ended up signing up for the Secrets loyalty program due to our experience - be sure to ask for Diego if you do the tour! Below we wanted to shout out some people who stood out to us in terms of excellent service. Highly recommend this resort!! Yini (front desk - she was so sweet & kind), Diego (sales - so kind and professional), Cristian (concierge - highly recommend, see my comment above), Alberto - Himitsu restaurant (hilarious and fun), Joel - Bordeaux restaurant (absolutely wonderful experience with him as our waiter), Marlon - lobby bar (made great espresso martinis), Henry - lobby bar (made great old fashions), Johan - Himitsu restaurant (so fun), Danis - Himitsu restaurant, Fidelina - waitress at pool, Bienvenito - waiter at breakfast (always SO kind and had a smile on his face constantly), Aneuydas, Jose - omelette station at Market Cafe (he was incredibly kind & always smiling), Laura - hostess at market cafe (so pleasant), Luis, Omar - margarita cart at Mexican Restaurant.   Definitely for couples! 🥰

  This a beautiful, beautiful all-inclusive, adults-only resort. I would stay here again without hesitation, but at a different time of year. Extremely hospitable! All of the staff took great care of us and any requests we had, which were not many. Only a few seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Food (trigger warning): This is THE BEST food I’ve had at an all-inclusive. I can only imagine how difficult it is to feed hundreds of people all day long. What an undertaking! HOWEVER, I did see the girl preparing crepes use her hand to grab some food off the buffet, put it in her mouth, and then proceed to prepare more food. I mentioned this to the concierge desk and hoped they’d say something to someone, but I tell no lies - THE NEXT MORNING SHE DID IT AGAIN WITH THE PROSCIUTTO !!!!! Giant turn off for me! Not healthy!!! We found all of the restaurants to be equally good. No reservations are needed except for the Hibachi option at the Japanese restaurant. It can be a little tough to get into, even non-hibachi, but if that’s an issue, there are plenty of delicious options. Rooms: We had a junior sweet, king, with partial ocean view. It was a gorgeous room, but it smelled moldy. We called and they brought us a dehumidifier which we used the entirety of our stay. We emptied it twice a day, as it is very humid this time of year. It did take the smell away, but I would’ve preferred to move to a room without the smell. It has every amenity you could need! Double shower heads! Nice, large, bergamot-scented shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotions, so you really don’t need to pack those items and can save yourself some weight in your luggage. Beach/pools Well, this was a really, really bad sargassum season. They do the best they can to keep it neat, but after sitting in the sun, the seaweed starts to smell really bad. I’d say 98% of people opted for the pools instead, so it was tricky getting seats poolside. Plenty of large, plush towels and umbrellas that they’re more than willing to move for you. Don’t be one of those folks that tries to reserve spaces and leave, bc they WILL take your stuff to lost and found. I appreciate that. The usual people are there trying to sell you extras, but a polite “not interested” works just fine. They’re also trying to earn a living, so I don’t get upset. Bring cash for tips if you’re a tipper. The ATM and the exchange are VERY expensive. We didn’t bring enough and had to go through that rigmarole, which can cost $25 to exchange. That’s an hour of work or more for some folks, so just bring the cash - small bills. I would definitely come back, but probably December through March when the beach is better. The pros outweigh the cons.

  What I hoped and so MUCH MORE!

  We have just left Secrets Cap Cana resort and it was absolutely fantastic in every way! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, a shout out to the entertainment team especially, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kelly, ice cube & scooby they were so much fun. The bar staff were amazing! Shout out to Jose and his margaritas! All the waiting staff were incredible too & Johanna at the currency exchange I could go on and on… The restaurants were all really nice with a great mix to choose from, Italian was incredible! The hotel was so clean, room services daily, and generally such a welcoming place, would give it 6/5 if I could!
