  Loved the crepes with Bernardo at Secrets

  We loved the crepes with Bernardo! Entire staff was wonderful from the pools to the restaurants. Everything was perfect at Secrets.

  Wonderful resort

  Whole experience was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. The concierge and reception staff were the best I've ever experienced!!

  Wonderful experience!

  Excellent food and service. Loved all the restaurants. The amount of pools is fantastic because you never feel the crowd. The beach is not a good one, however.

  Great service, and food options

  Already went twice to SBM but just decided to write a review. We had a great time, lots of pools, a lot of food options at many spots, good liquor selection and the staff was awesome Pros - nice rooms. Always clean - lots of pools - great food and many dining options - nice liquor selection Cons - beach area is a little small - there were people vaping and smoking at places they shouldn’t be. Including the entertainment guy as DJ at speak easy. Non smoking rule shall be enforced - noticed many people from dreams would come to secrets side and they were allowed. Special thanks to: Jesus at the swim up bar, Victor, Ingrid, Ivan at Bordeaux, and Luis. In general all staff was friendly and gave exceptional service with a couple of exceptions but we made sure to give direct feedback. I would definitely go back.

  Detailed review of a fantastic trip!

  I just returned from visiting Secrets Bahía Mita with my husband and two of our friends. We had a fantastic time! Overall it was a very high quality experience. Service: The service was one of the highlights of the trip! Kassandra and Roberto at the preferred club check-in started our trip off string by helping us so we didn’t have to move rooms during our stay as we initially anticipated. Omar in the preferred club bar made some mean martinis, always with a smile. Ivan at the Splash water park ensured that our drinks were literally never empty and recommended delicious drinks for us to try. Each and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and helpful. Food: For an all inclusive, the food was quite good! While it’s not Michelin star food (I hope you don’t expect that going to any all inclusive), we had so many delightful meals. The winner of the stay was 100% the queso birria tacos at Tacoyotl. We also enjoyed the appetizers at Himitsu (the tostada was bomb), the sushi from Gohan, the crepes at the breakfast buffet, the lamb and duck at Bordeaux, all the pastas at Portofino, and the ceviche from the Blue Water Grill. Lots of great food to be had at this resort. Beach and pools: We loved relaxing on the beach in the morning and then moving to the pools in the afternoon! The beach had excellent shade as did the Manatees swim up bar pool. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the preferred sky bar pool was hot as heck as it was on a rooftop and difficult to keep cool. Many complain about the rocky beach and that is absolutely true but it was still beautiful to sit out at. We also were able to rent water shoes for free from the resort to better explore the beach. We liked the variety and quantity of pools. No matter what your pool vibe was, you could find it (even as adults who spent an entire afternoon going down the waterslides at the Splash park). Resort Location and Layout: The resort was an easy drive from the PV airport. We did book a private transfer which I recommend. The resort itself is architecturally beautiful but doesn’t lend itself to many private spaces (the balconies overlook each other and the whole resort and there aren’t many quiet nooks and crannies). It is indeed initially confusing to navigate the resort but after a couple hours, we had it figured out. Rooms: The rooms were comfortable, clean, and very nice. If you are staying here with a friend or family member rather than a romantic partner, I would let the resort know because some of the bathrooms have very little privacy but others are perfectly normal. Preferred club value: Whether the preferred club is worth it is the only thing my group was unsure about. The preferred club lounge was wonderfully airconditioned and had the best drinks on the property. However we weren’t big fans of the preferred pool which was hot hot hot and had the worst drinks of our whole stay. We found the additional perk of having a personal butler to be largely not useful. I’m not saying don’t do it, but if it will stretch your budget uncomfortably, I think you can safely skip it and still have a great trip.
