  Not the best resort in town

  We opted it for diamond service, and honestly our Butler Ricardo was not good , barely any communication with us. Also blamed me for complaining when I informed my shower in the morning was cold and not working, neither was the flush. The property is out dated with paint spots all over the room. They really push you on time share meeting, and if you say no they basically stop caring about you. I was very unhappy with Diamond service and my butler. Also there is a huge tipping culture in Punta Cana , so they won’t be nice to unless u Tip.

  Worst resort we’ve ever stayed at! If you like to party, you will love it here.

  My husband and I are 50. We have traveled to Cancun many times and we’ve stayed in many adult only resorts. This is the worst resort we’ve been to and we will never go back. First, this is a party resort! It’s loud and lots of groups are partying. Personal speakers along with the regular loud music was a bit much. Our room was filthy, our first night there, I pulled back the sheets to find blood spots on the sheet. Management thought offering me a dinner on the beach would make me feel better. Ummm, nope! When we shared our story with another couple at the pool they told us they kept smelling vomit in their room and after searching all over for the smell, there was a pile of vomit behind the couch. Food was not good. We had Asian one night and the chicken was burnt and therefore the entire dish smelled and tasted burnt. We also went to the steakhouse and I ordered a New York Strip which came white. It looked like a pork chop. We did like the sports bar, but know if you order the pretzels and beer cheese, it’s not pretzels, it’s breadsticks. I tried moving a chair from the shade on beach to the sun (maybe a few feet) and an employee told me I couldn’t move beach chairs and made me move it back in the shade (I’ve been traveling to Mexico for 12 yrs and have never experienced this at any other resort ). DC pool was cold and had shade by 3:00. At all the other resorts we’ve stayed at we have gotten DC or Elite status and the Bali beds have been included. At this resort you have to pay an additional $300 a day for a bed. One night we heard loud music thumbing until 4am. The only positives were the beautiful view we had with our oceanfront room and the resort doesn’t come alive til around 10 am so you don’t have to get up early to reserve a chair.

  Best solo trip I could ask for was at Royalton Chic

  Royalton Chic is probably the most upscale you can get while remaining a party resort. There's always something going on, I planned on leaving the resort but didn't need to. I'm a guy in my early 30s and went solo. I am far from a social butterfly, but I met many new people every day I was there. I brought three books, and I didn't get more than two chapter into the first book, and that's not because I couldn't find a good place to read on the beach or by the pool (never felt crowded either). Such a friendly environment that made it easy to meet new people. I did DC and found it worth it, but that's just my personal opinion, and I can understand why others may not. The food and drinks were great, the staff was even better. My butlers Esteban and Daniel were amazing, and made sure my restaurant and spa appointments were booked whenever I liked, issue-free. They also made sure I received the activities schedule first thing so I could get the most out of my day. Furthermore, Alejandro in the Diamond Club area was top-notch, always remembering exactly what I was drinking. Lastly, Denyss in the hotel lobby and taboo lounge went above and beyond to make sure I got the drink I actually wanted, which is amazing considering others would understandably "lose track" of me given how busy it was most nights and needing to focus on more demanding/busy tables/guests. I am extremely appreciated of Denyss and her superb customer service given that I quite likely would have had to leave the resort to ensure my nights were as fun as my days, which I appreciate not having to do, particularly as a solo traveler. I literally have zero complaints about Royalton Chic, and it would be my first recommendation to anybody travelling to Cancun. I honestly can't think of why I would think of going anywhere else if I were to return to Cancun.

  Outstanding Service

  Steph and Omar were our butlers. They did an outstanding job’ There were a few issues with our upgraded room and the extras included. They quickly fixed everything and made our stay a memorable one. They even checked on me multiple times when I unfortunately became ill during our trip, which meant the world to me. This was our 3rd time there and we are already planning our next visit. We highly recommend the Cloud9 dinner experience. One of the best meals we have ever had! Also the Splatter Painting experience on the property is a must! So much fun!

  Partied MY way

  Diamond Club is the way to go. You can escape the other pool for some serenity. My butlers Arturo and Ricardo are the best in the business. They took care of everything from dinner reservations both on and off site. Squeezed me in same day for spa treatments.
