  Mildew smell- DIAMOND CLUB WASTE

  My husband and I just got back. The location is the only reason for the 1 star. Its within walking distance to the flea market, coco bongo, and some other stores. You can get good souvenirs for really good prices. We were able to walk down to a convenience store multiple times through out the trip. The atmosphere was decent. The crowd was great. Very diverse in races and age groups but everyone pleasant. The room- The layout was nice, it was spacious but as soon as you walk in you're hit with a faint smell of mildew. We walked out to the balcony, sunset view 15. floor. The first noticeable thing were the white drip stains on the balcony rails. Which could've been bird poop or something else.. The interesting part About that is day 2 there was someone unannounced suspended who I presume was suppose to be cleaning it, but the marks stayed the whole trip. The reason why unannounced is a point I wanted to be clear is, I went to shower and my husband had to make sure to close the curtains because otherwise this person would've seen me walking out of the shower. The Noise level was ok, but being a floor down from the rooftop, where they host parties, you have to expect some music. We paid for extra for diamond club. Minibar was just beer, which we didn't drink. The butlers were pointless. To get the top shelf liquor you have yo go to the diamond club lounge or the diamond club pool. The other bars will not serve them. I read that you can get drinks on the rooftop, but to our surprise they were rail drinks, to get the same drinks I would've gotten for no extra charge downstairs, it would've costed us $17+ per drink. All of the events are hosted at the main pool, so you have to get your drink and walk over otherwise, you only have access to the standard bar. I usually have low expectations for all inclusive resort food, because I expect it to be just okay. For this resort, expect less so you're not disappointed. The best food we ate was at La Hacienda. Chopstick was not good. The steakhouse was closed for 2 out of 5 nights we were there. Room service was particularly TERRIBLE. Inedible. The elevator system was EXTRA annoying. It took forever and a day to catch one of 6 elevators and then it would stop on extra floors where no one would be waiting. Lastly, back to the mildew smell. Our sweaters were out in the rooms for the duration of our trip. When we got to the airport we pulled them out to put on, and they smell of Mold and Mildew - the smell was strong enough from the room that our sweaters carried the smell home. Definitely would not stay again, and probably not another Royalton location based on this trip and I would absolutely Not recommend it.

  honeymoon trip

  caesar was very nice he get us a better room for our honeymoon My Fiancée and I enjoyed so much this trip, it’s the perfect places for couples, great staff great location and service Carlos made sure we were comfortable and had what we need by the side pool everybody is very kind, we’d definitely be back !!

  Royalton Chic Cancun Thanksgiving vacation

  I can’t say enough about how fantastic Marisol our butler was during our stay. She took care of our reservations for dinner, booked a cabanna on the ocean, and took care of reserving our shuttle to the airport. She checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything and met us at each reservation to say hello and make sure we were having a great stay. My family, friend, and I absolutely loved her and would highly recommend getting Diamond service or joining the prime membership. It’s worth the extra money. Wish Marisol would be at every vacation we took. Thank you Marisol for being so amazing.

  Great stay

  Amazing stay! The service was outstanding from start to finish — everyone was so friendly and helpful. The beach was gorgeous and easily the highlight of our trip. The only issue we ran into was the slow elevators, but it didn’t take away from how great the hotel was. Highly recommend! If you want it funnier, more professional,

  Amazing experience at Royalton Chic Cancun with a big thank you to Stef and Daniel our butlers❤️

  We stayed at Royalton Chic Cancun For 2 weeks in November and had such a fantastic experience. From the start to the end of the trip we had a top tier service. Every member of staff at the hotel was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was in an ideal location in the hotel zone, right on the beautiful beach and just a short walk from shops, nightclubs, bars and markets. The hotel had a luxurious atmosphere and the entire premises had a gorgeous smell every time I entered the building which I haven’t been able to forget. Our room was spacious and immaculate with a perfect sunset view over the lagoon. However what really set the experience apart from anywhere else I’ve ever visited was the personalised butler service we had as a part of our diamond club package. We were lucky enough to have Stef and Daniel as our butlers who never failed to go absolutely above and beyond all day every day to make sure everything was excellent for us. They were so kind and made our experience unforgettable. Stef and Daniel made sure we were okay, and were always available in any way we needed - such as to give a recommendation or help book us dinner, even reaching out to make sure I was good when i broke my phone and I couldn’t contact anyone. All the staff at royalton chic were great (can’t forget Juan who served us amazing drinks at the diamond club lounge) but the people skills and customer service experience of Stef and Daniel impressed me thoroughly and deserve nothing but praise. We had an amazing time and certainly won’t be the last stay at a royalton. Could not recommend this experience enough.
