Vacation
First time in Nassau. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The restaurants on site were lovely and the food was delicious. Also we took Advantage of the spa and loved the 80 minute hot rocks full body massage. I would definitely recommend the Riu Palace to anyone traveling to Nassau.

Dirty little shoebox
This place is the worst all inclusive resort and RIU location ever! Worst resort I have ever stayed at! I just checked in today and the customer service is atrocious. They don’t care about their customers and have a nonchalant attitude and you have to make dinner reservations ONLY 48hrs in advance and cannot make them until you check in. I checked in today and have to eat at the buffet until my reservation on Monday the 28th. The resort is tiny and is dirty. There was dirt on my bed skirt and a public hair on the floor. The shower is not draining well and they don’t even have comforters on the bed. Just makeshift blankets that can’t even keep my feet warm. No robes. No slippers. Nothing ! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great time for great value
Resort is smaller than most RIu I been too. But don't be fool everything is too notch. All good was great, I think the buffets are better than restaurants. The jerk station outside was excellent. The pools are not deep. Really not for swimming but relaxing. The beaches were great and the helpers was great. Service was great the property is extremely clean everywhere. On the beach ppl will try to sell or offer just denied or reply and they will keep it moving. Tips are appreciated. Cabs are expensive and there is no Uber. If you want to visit Atlantis there is limited access if you don't buy the day pass. Day pass is expensive. I recommend you walk a bit to the ferry location to go downtown and have a blast there. Go Early and leave early from downtown area Ask ferry what's the last ferry going back?? Don't walk at night off property it's not safe and creepy take taxis only and let the host get you one. Book your excursions in Viator it's cheaper and more transparent.. Overall had a great time and this review is extremely accurate and useful

Disappointing experience at Riu Palace Paradise Island
As a quick background, we have stayed at five different Riu Palace locations on eight vacations and we were very disappointed in the Riu Palace Paradise Island Bahamas. Based on our previous experiences this should not be a “Palace” location, only 4 of the 5 specialty restaurants were open at any time and bookings filled quickly although the restraints were never more than half full. With the exception of the Krystal, the food quality was poor to average. The smorgasbord/cafeteria dining was about 1/4 the size of what is available at other Riu’s and the selection and quality were poor. The rooms were very small compared to the other Palace locations and the hotel showed much needed signs of maintenance even though we were told it was ‘remodeled’ recently. Most of the staff were friendly, but they seemed to be understaffed and some staff seemed completely disinterested in being there. All in all I was very disappointed and will not be back.

Nice beach
This is an older property. It’s very clean and I slept very well. The employees were overall very nice. A few not super friendly but for the most part they were great. Hate the reservation system for specialty restaurants. Need to switch to show up and eat system they use in Mexico at RIU properties. The bathrooms have great showers but the vanity area stinks. Double sinks but nowhere to put your stuff. Toilets very bad flushing in room. Two flushes for number one with tp. Pool area is nice with usual game of people putting their stuff in chairs first thing g in the morning and not showing up to use them til late afternoon after outings. I really wish hotels would enforce rules of not reserving chairs since those selfish people take up space others could use and couldn’t. The beach here is very nice. Soft sand, clear water and the awesome workers who take chairs and umbrellas for you and set up. The workers at the pool bar deserve medals. I have never seen such crazy behavior in my life as was at the pool here on 4/18/25. Between a drunk guy throwing up and a group of grown women practically having sex in the pool and in the chairs, it was nuts. The workers handled it all really professionally, a lot better than I would have. They deserve bonus pay for what they put up with. I’d have kicked all parties out of resort. I have visited 5 or 6 other RIU resorts multiple times in Mexico. This was first visit to Bahamas. Property needs updating but workers were great. Property was very clean. Jerk chicken cooked outside by pool was excellent. Bahamas are beautiful but expensive. I’d visit again
