Vacay June 2025
I want to start this by saying that people really will find anything to complain about because I don’t know how anyone can give this place a low rating. That being said.. let’s get into this review… Check In Check in was easy. Front desk guy was nice. No problems Property This was the best RIU property that I have stayed at to date. It’s new, clean, and modern. I never saw any trash or mess longer than a couple of minutes. The workers are on it and keep this place immaculate. Room We had a partial ocean view on the 7th floor that actually ended up being pretty much a full ocean view. The room was updated and everything felt fresh and new. Food The food here was hands down the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort. They have 4 restaurants (plus the one for the Elite) as well as a 24 hr sports bar and buffet. During the day they also have a taco bar and poolside eatery that’s open from 12 - 6pm. They also have the coffee bar that has snacks as well. There is always something to eat here. They also have 24hr room service. You will never be hungry. We tried all of the restaurants. All of the food was good. It was all seasoned and tasted good. I know some other reviews have stated the food was always cold. We never experienced this. Food was always cooked to order. The only complaint l have was the buffet. It was just ok. You don’t need reservations for any of the restaurants, however if you want to get in the Steakhouse, I suggest you either line up early or get there before 6:30 to get on the waitlist. Pools They have 3 pools. As long as you are out there by 10:30 you will have your pick of chairs. No need to get up and reserve chairs. They have drink service at the pools but I think they do all go on break everyday at the same time so sometimes you may have to go to the bar yourself. Service We received excellent service our entire stay. A couple of the ladies in the bar area by the theater were a little less than cordial, but everyone else was great. Entertainment This is why I didn’t give 5 stars. The entertainment activities here are really lackluster. They don’t play music all day at the activity pool which is a drag. It’s on at the pool bar sometimes. The nighttime entertainment is very high school. I did enjoy the girl that was spinning on circus night though, she was awesome! All in all I really enjoyed my vacation here and I would definitely return.

A Week in Paradise
To start off I definitely have to say that the Riu Palace Pacifico wasn't our hotel that we had booked. We booked the Riu Vallarta but upon arrival on June 4th we were told that we had been upgraded from the Riu Vallarta to Riu Palace Pacifico. Let me tell you when they said it was an upgrade it sure was upon arriving to the resort we were met with the bell man who took our luggage and escorted us to the check-in desk. We were then given our welcome beverage and given our wrist bands and room keys. The room was in excellent conditions and the air conditioning was exceptional given the weather at the time. My sister and I truly enjoyed all the resturaunts and bars this location had. Being all-inclusive we took advantage of everything. It is such a great resort especially since it is an Adult-Only hotel. I want to give special shoutout to Tomas at The Peninsula buffet because he truly took care of us during our stay. Next Naksely, Monserat, Luz, Ramon, Juana, and Sofia they were excellent in their service and gave us excellent Customer Service. All in all I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who wants to come and enjoy a good time. Definitely recommend joining the Riu Class program since it could give you special perks from time to time.

Great Hotel
We had a great stay at Riu Palace Pacifico. Having previously stayed at the Riu Vallarta, we can certainly say the Palace is a cut above; in fact this is our fifth hotel on this beach, and our favourite so far. We only had seven nights so decided to use the buffet instead of any of the à la carte (but next time we may try them). The food in the buffet was very good with a different theme each night (of course many of the stations are the same every night). Breakfast was the usual fare of a Mexico All-Inclusive, but the selection of fruit was the best we have ever seen at an hotel in Mexico. Lunch was very good as well. There was no problem getting loungers on the beach (we would rather be on the beach than by the pool), you could rent a sun umbrella for US$15 a day, which for us was great. Bar service was also the best we have ever had on a beach in Mexico. We will certainly be back at this hotel, and we would recommend it to anyone.

One of the best beach front resorts
One of the best resort experiences I've ever had. Check in was quick and we got a nice room with partial ocean view. Not only was it very pleasant to bask on the beach, there were several pools to hang out in. The all inclusive deal was the best idea. Drinks were great and served wherever we went. There were around 6 restaurants and a buffet, all world class, with various cuisines and delicious food. We tried all of them during our stay. There were daily fun activities within the hotel, and nightly musical events and other entertainment in their theatre. I also enjoyed a relaxing massage at their spa. Not a single dull moment. This place is a little far from downtown Puerto Vallarta, so you'll need to get your own vehicle or hire cabs to go visit town. All in all, a very satisfying experience that meet all our expectations of a relaxing beach vacation
