Best adult only hotel by a long shot
One of the best holidays my wife and I have had ! The good points in a nutshell - high quality accommodation ( we had a Junior deluxe suite swim up room ) , the majority of staff are very welcoming and helpful ( Especially Bryan , who serves in the Yukatan restaurant at Breakfast and lunch time ) , the hotel is clean , any reported issues were dealt with quickly , the Yukatan Restaurant serves the buffet food at breakfast , lunch and dinner - there is a variety of food which should please even the fussiest of pallets 😬 there are other more formal restaurants as well.If you have a swim up room , there usually is a waitress that will take your drink order for you 😊 As far as we are concerned there were some minor negatives about our stay - considering the temperature was around 31-33 degrees the air con in the rooms are set at 22 degrees and won’t go any lower , don’t get me wrong , when you come back in the room it’s lovely and cold but after a while you don’t really feel the benefit ( this was my wife’s pet hate , it was bearable for me 😬) bring some long trousers if you want to eat in the restaurants as they don’t allow shorts or 3/4’s , not so much about the hotel but the seaweed issue on this side of the Mexican coast is still here ! ( Basically it’s a bit wiffy 🤣) and finally the patio furniture isn’t the most comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable stay in a excellent hotel , keep up the good work 👍🏼

Amazing!
Very nice welcome.. all staff are very nice and helpful All the entertainment crew (day and night staff) were amazing and make you feel at home including the dancers for Yoga instructor Marco is the best so calm and comforting during the classes I would love to come again but would be good to perhaps have themed parties at Bar salsa (white party, disco) and for the music to cater for everyone (pop, salsa, rnb, soul, disco, motown, reggae) The spa was very nice but I was cold when having my massage, the price is high and I have had better massages but the staff were very kind and helpful. My room had a slight smell which I reported and the staff attended and sorted it out..it was a little better but could have been better I think cleaning the rooms with bleach would help it smell more clean or it maybe the air-conditioning vents needs to be clean or perhaps some airfresher inside to make the room smell nice First time travelling alone and it was one of my best holidays I would highly recommend staying here

Really disappointed
Hotel was good in general, buffet international was great but the other restaurants Just open three times a week. The elevator needs to be cleaned because all were dirty but I decided to give just 3 stars because I asked for an indrive driver and the hotel security didn't want to give the access to pick me up. They says "taxis" are the only allowed to get into the hotel and that was a lie!! There is MAFIA CORRUPTION with taxis ! I really disappointed with that!! I had to ask to bellboy to take me out to the hotel for taking the Indrive driver!! Please don't take taxis they don't deserve your money! And the hotel has to fire the security as he was the person who says no to my driver!!! I will never go back to this hotel for this reason it's a shame...

Another Great Stay at the Princess!
This was at least our tenth stay at the Princess. The resort is beautiful and staff is so friendly! Javier at the bell stand is one of our favorite people! He has always made us feel at home. Elisa, who serves drinks to the swim out rooms is great, and maintains a great mood while running around in the insane heat! Fernando at the pool bar is helpful and again made us feel so welcome. They are constantly updating and upgrading the property. Love the addition of Netflix to the TVs and the food has improved considerably since our first visit four years ago!

4.5 out of 5. Beautiful people and food.
My opinion 4.5/5. Just returned to the UK after 9 nights in a deluxe swim-up room in Block 1. The resort is quiet—definitely far from full. Skylights was closed, but the other à la carte restaurants alternated two at a time, with no booking required. • Rodeo was a total success—the ribeye was big and juicy. • Teppanyaki was fun and worth a visit. We enjoyed it, but once you’ve seen the show, there’s not much reason to go back. • Aroma was lovely, serving a beautiful fillet steak. • La Bruschetta—I can see the appeal of having an Italian option, but for me it ranked fourth among the à la cartes. The buffet was very good by all-inclusive standards: always plenty of choice and good quality food. Beach: Unfortunately, it smelled awful for most of the holiday. We walked up and down the coast (about 1.5 miles each way) and, honestly, the Princess hotels had the worst stretch. They let the sargassum pile up until no more could wash ashore, leaving the water brown like a river—completely unlike the turquoise tropical water you’d expect. Because of this, we stuck to the pools most of the time. That said, the beach at the Riviera Princess (next door) was much better cleared during our last two days. We were able to paddle in clear water and enjoy drinks from their beach bar. Sadly, the Yucatan’s beach remained piled high with smelly and brown sargassum. Pools: We were very happy with our swim-up in Block 1—quiet and relaxing. The ladies from the main pool bar came by regularly to take drink orders. They definitely deserve a tip, and they’ll keep coming back to check on you. The main pool grew busier as the holiday went on, which we took as a good sign (we want the hotel to succeed!). Drinks at the pool bar were decent, and they’ll make you anything they can if they have the ingredients. Massages: The hotel spa was nice, but the “pink ladies” on the beach offered the best value and quality. We had a one-hour massage with them for $35, and it was excellent—actually superior to the hotel’s. Even better, it was done right there on the beach under their own palapa with the beautiful sound of the waves in the background, which made it extra special. Excursions: We did Coco Bongo and Xcaret—both brilliant. • Coco Bongo is a late night, but it’s a great way to break the jet lag. Amazing dancing and hilarious shows. Sellers are around the pool every day, and they can be trusted. We booked through TUI, but the poolside sellers were the ones who actually collected us (much to everyone’s surprise!). We went for front-row tickets, which were excellent. Gold might have offered a similar experience for a bit less, while standard tickets are probably best if you mainly want to dance. • Xcaret was equally fantastic, full of culture and experiences. We saw dolphins, sea turtles and swam their underground rivers. The evening show was amazing too. We paid for the evening dinner, but frankly could have lived without that expense. 7 tiny courses which weren’t a patch on the buffet back at the hotel. Comparison with next door. The adults only Yucatan is good. No complaints other than the sargassum. The Grand Riviera Princess next door was having a lot of building work done, but it’s quite clear that it’s going to be a beautiful hotel once complete. I would actually consider staying in the platinum section of that hotel next time instead of the Yucatan. Final thoughts: Mexico is a fantastic destination. The Mayan people are beautiful, the culture is rich, and the cuisine is delicious. I’ll definitely be returning to Mexico, and would happily return to the Princess. - take mosquito repellent (we were bitten often) - deluxe swim-up is worth the extra. Platinum is not - it seemed so quiet and lifeless in that section of the Yucatan.
