Nov 20, 2025For our 50th anniversary and wife’s 70th birthday she wanted an overwater bungalow stay.
The items “included” (their more inclusive program) made this vacation special. First class private transport from Cancun airport (and back again). When we arrived Alberto, the luggage transporter via golf cart, was also full of helpful advice and very friendly. Our AM & PM butlers (William & Pilar) also were very helpful and friendly and gave us a nice happy anniversary and happy birthday surprise. Upon checkin they connected us via WhatsApp and stayed in contact daily. Our concierge (Antonia) was also very helpful and friendly. Our beach butler (Alvaro) was also very helpful and friendly and worked hard to make us happy and answer questions. All the staff we encountered at Restaurants and rooms and at Spa went above and beyond to be helpful and provide us with what we needed. Especially those I have mentioned by name. All the restaurant meals (we tried 4 Restaurants plus the Thursday evening Mexican buffet and show and the afternoon beach area BBQ) had great menus and the food had amazing flavor and taste. We enjoyed watching the area wildlife (birds and fish) from our deck. We also watched Coati and lizards. Even though we didn’t use kayaks or paddle boards or catamaran we enjoyed watching. There are other amenities we did not try. The beach is beautiful and well kept. So are the pools. The entertainment was very good. We went to the ice cream/coffee shop daily for coconut ice cream. Just wish it was open later.

5 star treatment
Great experience! Alberto was so cool! The service was top tier! Only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t tell me that the jet skis and caterman was free upon my arrival. Because u have to book in a day advance. But otherwise it was a great vacation for wifey birthday

Amazing experience from the beginning to the end!
Alberto and Yasser were incredible, we have been to multiple resorts and this one blew every single one out of the water (literally)! Alberto was so friendly and accommodating! Yasser blew it out of the park! It made the world a little of difference, everyone was over the top friendly and actually looked like they love their jobs! And omg the FOOD! I wasn’t expecting that at all, hands down one some of the best food I’ve had in my life! Nothing disappointed! I would recommended this place over and over. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Perfect! Exactly as pictured
I cried when I opened our over the water bungalow door- it was everything we wanted and more! Picture perfect. Alberto, Aldo, and Janet were lovely hosts. Their hospitality couldn’t have been better! Be sure to try the squash soup at the Caribbean Grill; the Bolognese at Mio Cucina Italiana; and the Sandia Watermelon juice with Chilaquiles at Lima Limon.

Good experience. I Recommend Over the Water Bungalow
We had excellent butler's Liz and Fernanda. Kudos to them !!!!! Alberto was a great driver for the cart ! Miguel came through and fixed our issue 👍🏾The service in Palafitos was slow. The food is Good . Dorian was a great waiter. I Recommend the Caribbean Grill. The Over th Water Bungalow is 5 stars . The beach is good!
