  Spectacular Experience

  We had a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the resort.

  truly beautiful

  we had the best relaxing brake surrounded by beautiful landscape and people. the food and team were lovely. the spa was amazing and the workshops were fun and informative. we up graded to the level and it was worth every penny. the beach was beautiful and the cocktails and service were out of this world. The beds were comfy and everywhere was clean and tidy. We can not wait to go back.

  Melia Punta Cana Beach – Adult Only The Level – Was Nice Resort Spoilt Due To Extreme Cost Cutting.

  We have been to this resort 4 times, all the time in The Level. First resort was all round very good. Second time we got caught in the hurricane, we moved to another resort for few days while hurricane lasted. The staff did very well under the circumstances which were not under anybody’s control. Last (third) visit where the cost cutting were just started. This visit which was in September 2025, the cost cutting has been every part of the operation, for example: 1. Both pools were very dirty, very little effort was made to clean them. There were debris, flies, leaves etc. 2. Beach towels stained and worn out same as our last visit. 3. Ran out bottled water for 3 days as result not enough water delivered to the rooms and could not get bottled water in the bars. 4. The level restaurant could not serve Acai for few days and at one point ran out lettuce therefore could not serve salad. 5. The mini bar had two small cans 230 ml of beer and one can of coke zero. If you wanted extra you needed to pay extra. If couple in the room just wanted drink coke zero they expected them to share the one bottle or pay extra to get another one. This was supposed to be a AI resort and premium service for the Level. 6. On 19/9/25 we were in the Vietnamese restaurant, people were leaving without having full meal and at one was shouting at the staff. But this was no fault of the staff, it was due to cut back on staff. 7. We used to go for morning walk on the beach, the Melia beach adult and family had lot of sea weeds, lot of the time there was nobody in sea due to this. The sea in front of other resorts on the strip was clear because they were continuously clearing the seaweeds. On many occasions the Melia staff came took pictures I assume due to complaints from guests but no action was taken when we were there. The above are just some example which is impact of cost cutting in service and staff. The staff tried to provide the best they could under the circumstances therefore I like to thank all the staff at The Level restaurant and special thank you to the following who always did their very best for us: a. Alex our concierge, he tried always try meet any of our requests. Whenever he came on duty he was always came to meet us with a smile and ask if everything ok. b. Dionis Manuel Rincon who always made that extra effort to meet our request, even to the point to go to other restaurants. c. Hilorio Cedaro was always very attentive and courteous and always kept an eye to see if we need anything. d. Louisa Terrero always provided excellent service and, greeted us with affection and smile. e. The other staff I would like to thank who did everything they could to make our special are: • Maguel Linares • Cesar Zapata • Maximo Mendozo I must state that the all the staff tried to do their best to provide good service but were constrained by the resources at their disposal. The has been no improvement since our last visit and in fact the resort has got worse. I am sure Melia will reply but before booking this resort, the reader should read my last visit review as the things I stated in that review has not been improved in fact everything has gone worse. The visit was in September 2024 and review around the same time.

  Decent resort

  The resort is nice - not really a fan of how far the lobby is to the beach - but we were close to the beach, which is where we prefer to spend our time. First resort I’ve been to that has no showers to rinse off after leaving the beach. Any problem with the room does not get resolved quickly. We had to call 5 times to get our safe fixed. Have called once about our AC with no response yet…also need a hanging unit inside/outside to hang your wet suits. The bed is super comfy and actually a king - not twins pushed together. Food is fantastic and lots of variety. Would appreciate more seafood. Booking reservations is easy, no problem with finding chairs on the beach - maybe the time of year? Would recommend

  Get away

  Chocolate tasting should of been able to accommodate the two other people who came before the 3:30 start. Great beach and love Thomas who drove the pick up people cart.
