Dec 24, 2025The Absolute Hidden Gem of Punta Cana
This place was hands down the most wonderful Resort could ever have thought to stay in. The staff was absolutely amazing, bartenders A+++++, and our private Butler Yrani was absolutely phenomenal in taking care of everything. Could not have enjoyed our stay anymore than we did!

Myself and my partner spent ten nights here in one of the garden view swim up suites. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. There was sun loungers, a sunbed and chairs on our terrace (along with the small spa pool) so plenty of options on how to enjoy the sun, however there were a lot of mosquitoes outside our room. One slight downside was the fact that there was a new hotel being built next door, which overlooked our pool and terrace with occasional building noises but nothing too bad. We thought that the layout of the pools in the hotel was great, providing multiple options with different atmospheres. The main pool being more lively and then the smaller pools near the Wonderpool bar (lovely staff at this bar, especially the servers to the pool) being more relaxing and peaceful. Our room gave us access to the Aqua Club on the beach was also a great choice, where Angelo was serving for drinks and we thought he was fantastic, and super friendly. Great selection of all-inclusive restaurants which you didn’t need to book for, which gave flexibility and variety. Our favourite was the Seishin restaurant (Japanese) which we went to five times during our stay. The Japanese offers a Habachi experience as well as table, and we also had lobster here which was great. W especially liked the service and entertainment provided by Dario. A couple of downsides we found were that there was a lack of snacks within easy access between meals and the daily housekeeping service was slow sometimes. We found the location worked really well for us as we did two excursions, which were no longer than 45 minutes transfer which seemed very good compared to other hotel options. All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, adults only break. We would give 4.5 stars but there’s no option!

Fantastic Stay at Live Aqua!
My stay at Live Aqua was exceptional! The premises and the room were both beautiful. The staff was outstanding, particularly Demetrio, who provided me with exceptional service. He was highly professional and ensured that I enjoyed my birthday to the fullest. Demetrio deserves a raise!

A Service Forward Resort 😎
The service and hospitality offered by the staff at this resort is outstanding with many going above and beyond in making the stay memorable. The front desk in the lobby is where it all began with an unprompted room upgrade to a swim out. Completely unexpected and appreciated and no doubt provided because the resort was not super busy when we arrived. Some that are also worthy of mention include Orlando for the kind gifts even though we had no desire to attend the vacation package breakfast, Anderson at the French restaurant who went to the coffee shop to get us a real nice espresso for our dessert, Diana who did the coffee bean goodbye and who got us a needed bandaid because she’s just that sweet, Jandy at Hazur, Joel who brought us loungers to the beach when they were full, Super Dario at breakfast who always has a genuine smile, Santiago at the Japanese who works so very hard on busy nights and butler David who genuinely wanted to know how everything went for our stay when we were leaving. To all we say THANK YOU! If you haven’t watched James the Coolist review of your resort on YouTube - you must. He was right! Uvero Alto beach is a golden powdery sand and much less busy than Bavaro which we love. The spa and boutique feel of the resort is special. That lobby smells amazing. And the value provided for price was great. Our room was always cleaned when we were out at the pools and beach like clockwork. The buffet is very clean and well stocked. Excellent smoothie bar. Lots of fresh fruit like guava, mango, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, etc. Omelettes with any toppings, crepes with multiple toppings, beans, bacon, great bread selection and comb honey! We loved Hazur restaurant, it was our favourite, from the views of the beach to the delightful food offerings. We enjoyed the delicious grilled fish, seafood and the ribs. It is a quieter resort than some we have been to which we did not mind.

Top notch all around.
We decided on a swim up Junior Suite - our first swim up room. Didn't know it came with private check in, butler service, and VIP status. Our butler was Yrani - absolutely great from moment one. Helping with reservations if desired, daily updates, coordinated changes with bar fridge amenities, and even left surprise drinks in our room ! Food was the best we have had, from multiple all inclusive resorts to a dozen cruises on various cruise lines - Live Aqua stood out. Each ala carte restaurant was fabulous. Buffet for breakfast and lunch was incredible - only disappointment was that we didn't try the lunch buffet earlier in the week! Would have been a regular. But, the beach bar grill, and all other restaurants offered great lunch options. Special shout out to Yohangel in the buffet for friendly service and greetings ! Even a special table on our last day ! Resort was beautiful, from grounds, beach, lobby, cleanliness, pools, and the swim up pool and jetted tub! My wife and our travelling friends agreed we will be visiting again. Even having Air Canada delay our luggage for nearly 48 hours didn't diminish our satisfaction. (Again, special thanks to concierge check in services for coordinating with airport and luggage transport company!) Grounds were perfect size, no need for golf cart shuttles around the resort. I'd give 6 stars and an 11 rating if I could.
