  Loved it

  Lovely resort, super clean, smashing food but what really makes it is the staff Shout out to the best pool waiters Jaberlin Febles and Suleiky they are amazing Evening shout out to the amazing Nancy Rosemery and Nowlia Also breakfast waiters Berlin, Valentin and Yeurly and a special thanks to Edwin at Compton Street for perfect gin and tonics Red and her excellent entertainment team thank you All in all a lovely holiday

  HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

  My wife an I recently went to this resort based on reviews from other travelers and pictures on the website and description of the place on their website and thought very highly of the place. Although the first couple of days were ok as the place itself did not impress me but was rather descent instead of wow. However, on a night after a short performance we went to the small club they have and there was an incident with a another guest that was extremely drunk. In fact, this guest was already drunk and acting up during the performance and carried on without any visible security unto the club were he continued drinking and ended up falling next to us unto a table full of glass cups and cut himself and a glass was imbedded unto one of my wife's toes. After making a complaint to the hotel, the guest still remained there and kept on drinking. We made a formal complaint the very next day with a signed statement making the hotel responsible for what had happened and were told they were going to contact their resort insurance company. Although they told me that I had the option to make the guest responsible for his actions, I believe that the hotel lacked any security for the hotel and their guest, specially in a place were drinks are free. It's been over a week since we got back and the phone numbers that we have from a couple of staff that new about this are all of a sudden not responding at all and ignoring our calls and texts. I will now have to contact a lawyer to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. Be very careful when booking a hotel that is part of the fiesta hotel collection!! I will never book a trip to any of their hotels. That day when I made the complaint, I was celebrating my birthday and my wedding anniversay, needless to say, we had a horrible day....although we got a free massasge and a free paid dinner by the beach, this is still not acceptable!!! Not great customer service either....I upgrade to a VIP room and I never felt like a VIP regardless of what happened.....we waited almost 3 hours for my wife to get a beer from our vip lounge and 2 hours to get bath robes.....horrible service. Do not go book this hotel!!!!

  Worth the trip ..

  Even though we were first timers at this Resort, we kinda already had high expectations of it because we've been to their Cancun Resort 6 times, and it's kinda like our home away from home. Upon entry into the building, we felt right at home with the scent of Live Aqua's aromatherapy in the air .. Check-in was a breeze, greeted with a refreshing drink and a hand massage. Wristbands with electronic key entry were given to us. That appears to be the only form of entry into your room. Guest statuses depend on the color of string used on your wristband. Ours was gold for Aqua club entry. There were several other colors noticed. Then, we were introduced to our Butler Yrani and taken to our room. Our Butler opened the door to our room and the first thing I could smell was musk! Smelled like a dirty locker room, Unfortunately. Our Butler said she was going to bring us a dehumidifier to take care of it, unfortunately for 6 days that was our smell. We had a swim out suite which was very nice. It had a Bali bed, two sun chairs and two regular chairs with a table. There was a designated jacuzzi area as well. The aesthetics of the room though, could have been a little different. The toilet placement was in a very odd spot. You can easily be seen from the walking pathway into the room into the bathroom very easily. Privacy was an afterthought. Also, for our first two days, we did not realize that our entry door did not lock. Once they had come and fixed it, using your bracelet to get into your room was quite a headache. You literally had to use two hands in order to get into your room. One hand to hold the bracelet against the door so that it reads it correctly. Must say, it was very annoying. Even though the room smelled, the rest of it was quite clean. The bed was comfy and you do have your choice of several different types of pillows. The cleaning staff and the room service were excellent and prompt. Our Butler was good, she did help me set up a surprise for my wife's birthday with roses and balloons. The layout and aesthetics of the resort were excellent in my opinion. The resort wasn't too big to the point where you would get lost or tired from all of the walking. All the food was situated nicely. The swim up bar was excellent, shoutout Carlos and July. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked and clean along with excellent service. Huge shout-out to Salvador and Yohangel. I'm not too sure why they don't use that area for a lunch or dinner buffet or anything else, because it is a huge room being wasted when it could be some other type of food in the evening. The sports bar was nice, it had three pool tables and several different areas to sit. Great food and service. Recommend the BBQ Ribs. Unfortunately the Wolverines, Tigers and Lions all lost that weekend there, so that was kinda sucky!! Our first night, we tried the French restaurant. We were told that it was the highest rated restaurant on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately, we weren't too pleased with the food. We ordered medium steaks, they came out still mooing. We requested they cook them some more, we got kind of an attitude and got our steaks back almost well done. The next day we had Mediterranean. Unfortunately they are only open until 5:00 p.m. so they were for lunch. The experience and the food was great and we were even greeted by the head chef Augustin. That night we ended up with room service because we got too drunk during the day, go figure! The ceviche place right by the swim up pool was excellent! Shout out once again Yohangel. This guy honestly made every single day we were there a pleasurable experience all the way through lunch. The fish tacos were excellent! The shrimp cocktail was good, maybe a little too much ketchup in their sauce, but nonetheless, good. The Japanese restaurant was excellent!! Hibachi and sushi were on point!! I believe there was still a Mexican and Italian restaurant that we were not able to get to. I will say that overall the food was just okay. I hate to say that, but everywhere we went we needed to add salt and pepper to our food. Very bland and flavorless. Even as far as many of the breakfast buffet items were bland as well. I would have to say that was probably our only major downside to our trip. The aqua club was nice. It was small, food options were little finger foods and pastries. If you're a Corona drinker, the aqua club is the only place you can get one on the resort. That was a bummer. I was also pleased that we were constantly harassed to sign up for their timeshare packages. We were asked once, I politely shut it completely down and they never asked again. Overall, the trip was great! Weather was great, even though it was showing rain daily. We did get rain during the day a little, but, it was mainly at night. I will end this review by saying that this resort is very nice and constantly being kept up. All the resort staff were very polite and respectful. The daily and nightly entertainment were excellent!! With a bar, club and evening entertainment, they keep it quite fun for the night owls. Will I be back? Yes! Overall, We truly enjoyed our stay and believe they are going to get better.

  Perfect place to relax

  First of all I want to say this place is beautiful. On entering the build there is a 70's vibe but in a good way. The place is spotless and the beach is magnificent. The staff are welcoming and always friendly and are always helpful and asking if there anything they can do. The rooms are big and plenty of space, only concern if if you're a new couple the toilet door will be a shock, very little privacy. Food is always available and varied. We found the outdoor grill to be the best. One thing I will state, if they offer you the tour (time share programme), DECLINE. They will say its only an hour max but its nearly 2 hours and they will aggressively pressure you into buying into the "program" and if you refuse they pretty much push you out of the door. When you arrive if they don't offer, ask about an upgrade, they should have offered it. All that said would I come back, 100%. The Aqua punta cana is beautiful and definitely worth the trip. It's perfect if you want to relax and unwind.

  Incredible place with many amenities and the most friendly staff

  Our experience at Live Aqua was absolutely incredible. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday and we couldn't be more happy about the whole trip. One of the things that made our trip unforgettable was our amazing butler, Eric. He went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure that we had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. He gave us so many thoughtful recommendations and personalized touches throughout our visit, that it really made our visit very special. Because of his kindness, professionalism, and attention, we truly couldn’t have asked for better service. This is a stunning resort, but having someone like Eric made it truly exceptional. We can’t wait to come back soon!
