  Top notch resort, personable staff, and lots of fun activities

  Aranza, Daniela. Regina, and Sergio were just a few of the excellent activities staff that brought excitement to every day! We especially loved water aerobics, bingo in the pool, and karaoke in the sports bar, in addition to the nightly entertainment in the theater.

  A Stay That Fell Far Below Expectations

  We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. While the property itself is beautiful, it truly misses the mark on delivering the top-notch experience guests should expect. To start, there should be staff at the entrance greeting guests with a welcome drink, just as many other resorts do.After traveling such a long distance, a simple refreshing beverage offered upon arrival would immediately elevate the experience. Because the resort is so large, it really needs clear directory signs throughout the property. We found ourselves asking staff who did not speak English for directions, which wasn’t helpful and made navigating the resort difficult. Our room overlooked a parking lot and an active construction area. Considering we were part of a wedding group, we expected a much better view. It was disappointing that wedding guests were placed facing such an unappealing area. After housekeeping cleaned our room, they forgot to replace our towels. We called the front desk to request new ones, and after waiting 30 minutes with no delivery of towels, I called the help desk again. They assured us the towels were on the way, yet it took another 30 minutes for them to arrive. We essentially waited an entire hour for something that should have been taken care of during housekeeping. For a resort that markets itself as top-tier, this level of service is unacceptable and felt more like a motel experience. At the beach, several individuals were constantly trying to sell massages. They stood directly in front of the resort approaching anyone who stepped onto the sand. It was intrusive, persistent, and took away from the otherwise beautiful setting. If I wanted a massage, I would go to the appropriate location—I do not want to be pressured on the beach. Beach service was practically non-existent. There appeared to be only one staff member responsible for the entire area, and we rarely saw them. We ended up getting our own drinks from the bar. The lack of service was surprising and extremely disappointing. Dinner was another major issue. There was a two-hour wait every single night, regardless of the restaurant. The buffet closing at 4 PM was also inconvenient. At other resorts, the buffet remains open all day, which is convenient for guests who don’t want to wait for a restaurant. I was genuinely surprised—and disappointed—to see that this buffet closes so early. The food at Bamboo, in particular, was the worst of all—the Thai dishes were not flavorful or enjoyable. Overall, the dining experience and wait times were unacceptable. The service at the restaurants was extremely slow. It took far too long just to get a waiter’s attention, and even something as simple as getting water was a challenge. I was genuinely shocked by how consistently poor the service was throughout the resort. Overall, the service was very disappointing. The resort is covered in cobblestones, which, while aesthetically nice, are extremely impractical. Walking in heels was challenging and even unsafe—especially for guests attending a wedding. It’s very easy to twist an ankle on uneven stones, and the resort should reconsider this design or provide safer pathways. We also noticed raccoons roaming throughout the property at night. This became especially concerning when we saw them climbing onto the taco bar and helping themselves to the food. It was extremely unsanitary and quite disturbing to witness. The resort should take measures to address this issue immediately. Unfortunately, this resort fell far short of expectations in multiple areas. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

  Destination Wedding

  I had my wedding here and the team was absolutely amazing! Especially Violeta, she did an amazing job at keeping things together for us and was so sweet! we had so much fun!!

  Exceptional!

  Secrets was an awesome experience. By far the best resort experience that I have experienced in Cancun. The restaurant selections was great offering a variety of food options.

  Crowded resort underwhlemd my experience

  The experience was less than stellar. I beleive the resort was bombarded with extra tourists from the other resorts hit hard by the hurricane. I still expected better.
