1st Time at an All Inclusive
My husband's brother and wife have been to the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya 4 times before our recent visit. They highly recommended it to us, so we decided to go with them this year for our 45th Anniversary. Being our first time to an all inclusive resort, we loved it. From the customer service, bar service, poolside & beach side, and the restaurants, they were all amazing. It is unfortunate that there was construction of another resort next door, beyond the Hyatt's control, but we only heard it when on that side of resort. Otherwise the Zilara resort was amazing. Beaches are beautiful, and well kept, they have an occasional tractor system to clean up the seaweed off the beach. On our last day, the management gave us a wonderful send off, making sure we were totally satisfied with our stay. All the staff for our whole week stay were so kind & friendly. Our favourite bartender was Jose at the Social bar just off of the lobby We definitely would love to go back one day again

Making our trip romantic, enjoyable and relaxing...thank you Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya
What a beautiful place to have a couple retreat and romantic environment. From the arrival with Jacob, he made us feel home and made sure we had everything we asked for. The staff is comforting and always ready to help. Everyone says hello, Buenos Dias ! At the beach, Nicole made sure we always had water and a drink with a smile and took time to ask how our stay was going. At breakfast, Elida wanted to make sure we had a good time, always with a smile and teaching us a bit of Spanish. The sushi chef and grill plate chef were really nice to see and made us live a great experience. Beautiful Denise was caring and thoughtful and Alejandro gave extra love to make us laugh and made sure our dinner at the Lola Beach was memorable. Thank you to all the staff and for making this trip unforgettable !

A perfect holiday
Fantastic adults all inclusive resort. Great food and drinks. The staff are so helpful and lovely people. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Would recommend to anyone! Not too far from local town Playa Del Carmen. Also easy access to Cozumel Island from Playa Del Carmen should you want a snorkelling or diving trip.

The resort location was great and the beach was beautiful. The service provided by all employees was great and the facilities were good. We enjoyed the pool and pool bar and snacks. Overall we had a great vacation and would recommend this resort to others

Nice quiet place for less money
This resort is great… for the price. It used to be a secrets resort but was renovated and turned into a Hyatt when the company took over the secrets chain. The resort rooms are nicely updated and a/c works well in the 2 rooms we stayed in. The first room was a “tropical view” and had a terrible view of the trash bins from the resort next to us. The roofing/shingles outside that room were crumbling and had coatis feces all over them. We basically did not use the balcony at all in that room. We moved to an ocean view room a few days later and it was much better. The staff were absolutely incredible - we never had bad service. The beach is nice for walking but beware of the paddlers that try to sell you things. Most of them were not pushy but there is a massage tent set up just past the edge of the resort beach where they come and ask you if you want a massage every day. The water was rough because we went in December so I didn’t go in. There are definitely not enough beach chairs so you have to wake up early to reserve a spot (I know people hate this but everyone else does it so if you can’t beat them join them). The food was good - nothing truly spectacular though. They only had 4 a la carte restaurants instead of the usual 5 or 6. The Italian restaurant Portofino was the best however it’s SO difficult to get a spot so arrive right when they open or expect to have a very late dinner. The room service nachos late at night are a must! The lobby bar is also the best for cocktails. I got my iced latte every morning from the cafe- they do an amazing job. The “theatre” is basically a large indoor conference style room and they offer buffet style food in there during nights they have shows… but the food in the theatre is not good. Very dry like it’s been sitting for a while. This resort is very quiet but we liked that… just don’t expect to have a lot of partying here.
