    very poor service at bars restaurants and poolside most of the staff seem more interested in looking at their phones! N

    Poor service throughout the hotel no table service in the lobby bar!! The staff more interested in their phones! Never met such unfriendly staff in Mexico! My granddaughters got raw chicken burgers from the outside buffet! Just lucky there mum was cutting them up for them! When this was brought to the restaurant manager he just laughed with another member of staff! This is just from today there is so much more

    Very Disappointed- No Warning it was Under Construction

    We had been here before so we were looking forward to returning. The lagoon area experienced a major sinkhole the last night of our stay. The smell from the fish and plants rotting in the hot sun was nauseating. Since it was a few years later we expected it to be repaired. Instead there was noisy construction as soon as you entered the lobby with tarps to the ceiling and wooden sheets blocking the views. The pool was closed so guests had to use the sister resort pool at the Palladium Colonial. So the pool was always crowded and finding 2 lounge chairs together challenging. The ocean had a lot of seaweed too. Sadly the ring and earring set I purchased at the Palladium Colonial was beautiful but the stone fell out of the ring within days of our return. In spite of many attempts to get the stone replaced I never heard back from them. Due to the construction blocking off major parts of the hotel grounds it was quite a distance to the buffet. And the food wasn’t as good as it was on our first trip there. We ended up eating most of our meals at the Colonial. The other disappointment was coming in after dinner one night to find the unit above us had leaked water into our room. I wiped out and broke my sandal strap upon entering. We had the mess cleaned up before anyone showed up an hour later. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The CHIC cabaret had some great dancers! And our room in spite of the water leak was beautiful.

    Our favourite restaurant was portofino the staff were very attentive and helpful especially because we have allergies. Especially Jhonaton he was lovely.
