What We Love
- It's all-inclusive and all-incredible - there's something epic for every beach lover.
- Their coolio "Stay at one, play at four" plan expands your vacay playground, big time. And, you won't need reservations at any of the restaurants.
- The natural freshwater canal surrounding the resort - hypnotic and dreamy.
- Melting at the Zentropia spa with vapor baths and stress-ousting massages amid waterfalls.
- The Brazilian steakhouse and Sunset Boulevard disco - not necessarily in that order.
Things to Know
- It's 50 miles from Cancun airport. It's a drive, but you'll forget this when you see the beach.
- Updates to the resorts are coming soon - you'll have to come back and see the facelift!
- Snorkeling and kayaking are free. Yes. Free.
- Don't miss the beachfront BBQ and live music on Friday nights.
- Kids' Clubs are available to give you a breather, should you need one.

White sands wiith Family
The kids club was exceptional. My 7 year old loved the variety of activities and shows. Lorena and all the employees took well care of the kids. Huge resort, lots of walking, nature, and activities. Restaurants were good, service was excellent very friendly staff. Brand new pool and inflatable water course for kids.

Not really "all inclusive"
The only food included is the buffet for breakfast and lunch. For dinner its the buffet again as all other restaurants require a reservation which is impossible to make. Went the first day of the trip and was told that every restaurant was booked for the next 3 days, but yet everytime we passed by the restaurants there was hardly anyone there. We were told there was availability at one restaurant but it was an extra 45 dollars per person, no thanks. The rooms were nice but we paid for a junior suite poolside and our room was nowhere near a pool and had a view of construction. We were woken up almost every morning by the construction noises. We made the best of it and still enjoyed our vacation but I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stunning Grounds, Deceptively Bad Service: Not All-Inclusive
Let's start with the positives, because they are significant. The grounds, pool, and spa areas of the White Sands Resort are absolutely phenomenal. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful and well-maintained properties I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Unfortunately, the beautiful architecture is where the positive aspects of our trip end. Our experience was defined by a frustrating, deceptive, and deeply flawed dining system that made our "all-inclusive" vacation feel like a bait-and-switch. We traveled as a group of eight (two families) for a Saturday-Tuesday stay. We were specifically instructed that we could not make any dinner reservations until we arrived at the resort. Upon checking in, we went straight to the concierge, who informed us that there were zero dinner reservations available for our group for our entire stay. This was obviously unacceptable. The first night, we went directly to Portofino's (the Italian restaurant) and essentially had to beg the manager to seat us. He reluctantly agreed, stressing how "full" they were. When we walked in, the restaurant was at maybe 30% capacity, with the vast majority of tables sitting empty. The exact same scenario played out the next night at the Brazilian restaurant. The manager acted as if he was doing us a massive favor by seating us at 5:30 PM, yet we were the only diners in the entire restaurant for a significant amount of time. For the rest of our trip, we were forced to eat at the buffet or the sports bar, as all other restaurants were supposedly "full." Here is the most offensive part: We discovered we could get a table, but only if we agreed to purchase a $500 bottle of wine. This proves the restaurants were not "full"; they were simply holding tables hostage for an upsell. A resort cannot claim to be "all-inclusive" if you are denied access to the included restaurants unless you pay a massive surcharge. To make matters worse, it was clear that the White Sands property is the neglected part of the larger Palladium complex. There was zero entertainment at our resort, no ice cream available anywhere, and the bar selection was minimal. For any entertainment or better amenities, we had to walk down the beach to the Colonial property. Because of the deceptive and frustrating dining system and the clear neglect of the White Sands property, we cannot recommend this resort to anyone. We will not be returning.
