What We Love
- The hauntingly beautiful Mexican-Moroccan architecture that's soothing and graceful - it lulls you right into your Chill Zone.
- Resort privileges at Royal Solaris Cancun - check out the mouthwatering pizzas served by the pool and the kids will love the waterpark.
- The intimate plazas, or "Mexican squares", where you can spend some quiet time relaxing, enjoying a drink and embracing that, yes, you are actually on vacay.
- The spa where you can melt into stress-smashing massages, the Jacuzzi, steam room, and more. Pampering Central.
- Every Thursday, you can watch exotic belly dancers in the lobby whose sensual moves channel women from antiquity.
- You can enjoy hours of doing nothing on their gorgeous terraces. (That's what getaways are for, right?)
- Dining at the sublime Bogavante restaurant as you gaze at azure water lapping a few feet away.
Things to Know
- Take a zip line and soar above the jungle floor. Or, take a guided ride through the local wilderness. TThe staff will help direct you to the best tours in the area.
- There's a private marina with pedal boats and kayaks for you seafaring folks.
- Stay fit with tennis, beach volleyball, putt putt golf and a variety of other physical activities.
- There's an onsite mini golf course and mini water parks next door at Royal Solaris, but both offer BIG fun.
- For your little ones, there's a Kids Club at Royal Solaris Cancun where they can dive into everything from puzzles to face painting to movies. (Read: lots of activities so they'll sleep well at night).

Another amazing trip to GR Solaris, Cancun!
Truly a second family at the GR. As always, Obelia’s omelets are the best. Our welcome sign and door banner were a nice special touch. Our concierge, Antonio, was very attentive to our needs and was always checking in to see if we needed anything. We love the entertainment staff. It was wonderful getting to know new staff, Marco and Julio and getting closer with Gracie. Every year it’s like coming back home to Ruben, Israel and Jonah-the great organizers who pay attention to details and make all of the events run smoothly. They go above and beyond. We Always have the BEST servers!!! Solaris has chosen AMAZING Captains to run the GR! We have watched many of our GR Family work hard and deservedly move up within the company. There’s Monty, from kids club and entertainment to management. We didn’t see her much, but know she works hard behind the scenes for us. Nina moved from entertainment to guest services, and she had her hands full with irresponsible guests who needed babysat, but handled it all with maturity and grace. She also went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration extra special. It was a pleasure to get to know Jessica this year. Very personable and obviously working hard to pass all of her expertise to her guest services staff. In the dining areas, we have known Jair and Vermon for years and celebrate their promotions. They work so hard to make sure all guests not only get what they need, but also add extra details that make us feel extra special! We can now add Captain Maria from Don Gus. It was wonderful to meet her and she was super sweet and helpful! Members breakfast is perfect, no matter its location. We know there are many more, but if you get any of the following waiters, you will be very well taken care of!: Manuel(Barry), Darvin, Irving and Arriaga. And at dinners:Leonardo is super sweet, Feliciano is Speedy Gonzalez and never misses a detail! And dear Raul must have refilled my son’s water glass 18 times one night, never letting it sit empty. The pool bar had Edgar and Neftali behind the bar and coming to you from the bar, Leo, Lizbeth, Angel and Raphael are absolutely fantastic at bringing and even often making amazing drinks and they work very hard to keep all the food and trash and dishes picked up so the pool area stays clean! Last but not least, Erick and Hector are a dynamic duo as superior Mixologists!!! I drank so many uniquely amazing drinks this week and can say confidently that the one that tasted like buttered popcorn was the most spectacular in presentation and the tastiest drink I have ever had! Solaris, please value them greatly. We want to keep them! -The Cafe/Deli makes delicious coffee. We love how much it has improved through the years! -The breads and pastries are now top notch! -Juices and chocolate used to be rather bland for American tastes. Now they are better than what we typically get at home. -You have worked hard in recent years to give a better variety in the members tours offered. For a while it was Ruines or Isla Mujeres. We have appreciated the new options in recent years, like the party barge, last year’s speed boats and this week’s water cave exploration! -SUPER EXCITING-the new key card bracelets!!!!! Such a fantastic upgrade for no more worries with forgetting the room key!! However, teenagers should still be given the plastic cards without a fuss, cause when my 17 yo forgets her sunglasses, the last thing this momma wants to do is accompany her back to the room. I had multiple children so they could safely travel in pairs! -MOST EXCITING-The “Members day at the adult pool” was full of staff, events, drinks and a craft that really made us feel like members! It was brand new, so I’ll give you my suggestions for an even better experience: 1)Keep it going!!! 2)**Please put this new special pool day on the same day as the Welcome Party, not the Gala!!!** It was such a fun exhausting day, I would have enjoyed staying at the pool through the evening. It was exhausting leaving the pool and rushing to get ready for our fancy Gala that night. The Gala deserves a night of its own. 3)***A big suggestion-Make the welcome dinner a continuation of the Members day pool party!!!*** End the pool party at 5, but follow it with the “Welcome Party” dinner AT the Adult pool at 6! Set tables up around the pool, still have some good tunes playing (the saxophone player we had at the members pool was fantastic!) The idea of having special service at a members dinner that doesn’t require me to get dressed up, shared with other members, would be FANTASTIC for me and I feel it would be received well by many members as well! 4)It was not well publicized. We are just very thankful we didn’t miss it! 5)We usually travel on Monday’s to Wednesday’s, because the flights are cheapest then. If you move Members pool day/Welcome Party & the Gala dinner to Thursday-Sunday, you would have more members able to participate. For instance, when we return this November, we will arrive Wednesday evening and leave the following Wednesday morning. Please adjust the schedule so we do not miss the special Members day! We can hardly wait to visit our second home again!!!

GR Solaris has the best staff
This was my 3rd time at this hotel, and for the 3rd time, it was an amazing stay! The workers there worked very hard for the guests, went out of there way to take care of them. At the pool bar, Mauricio was the best! He was friendly and would check on me to see if I needed another drink. The waiters at the pool, Rafael, Jose, and the rest, I wish I could recall their names, also took great care of us. The pool entertainment crew, Marco, Israel, Ruben and the rest made all activities fun, especially the Mr. Solaris contest (which I won!). The rooms were clean, beds were confortable. Bathroom was clean. We had a view of the ocean/pool. I do recommend that if you want a spot at the pool, get up early, like between 6-7am and place your things on a few chairs/beds. It fills up! My son made so many friends with other kids there, the staff would greet all of us by name each time we saw them, and no, we are not members of the hotel, just regular guests. Also, with it being all inclusive, you don’t want to be the drunk and annoying person, I saw them have to remove the bracelets of those people. Overall, this is my choice of stay when in Cancun. I stayed at the one in Cabo, but I wasn’t too thrilled with it vs the one in Cancun. The guys in the buffet restaurant, Darvin, and Irving, Manuel, so darn friendly! We will be back!
