An Unforgettable Experience Thanks to the Incredible Staff! (October/November 2025)
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the El Dorado Seaside Palms from October 30th to November 6th, and we couldn't wait to leave this review. While the resort itself is stunning—with a fantastic selection of restaurants and activities—it was the staff who truly turned our vacation into an exceptional experience. They genuinely treated us better than family! We want to give massive shout-outs to the incredible TUI BLUE team members, Maria and Luis, who go above and beyond for their guests. We met Maria at the Halloween pumpkin painting crafts table. Though we were a little shy, her heartwarming smile and genuine welcome immediately made us comfortable enough to sit down and participate. The very next day, we met Luis at the same table, where he was setting up for the beautiful Day of the Dead mask painting. Luis took the time to introduce himself and everyone nearby, sitting with us to chat about the crafts and the resort. He taught me so much about Mexican culture and heritage and was incredibly patient and kind as I tried to learn a few Spanish words! Seeing both Maria and Luis around the resort afterward always brightened our day, as they consistently stopped to greet us and ask how our trip was going. Finally, our housekeeper Manuel was absolutely amazing. He did a meticulous job cleaning our room every single day. The true highlight of our mornings was rushing back after breakfast to see which adorable towel creature Manuel had left waiting for us on the bed. We wish we had brought more tips for him and the rest of the hardworking staff! If you're considering El Dorado Seaside Palms, come for the beauty, but stay for the people. Maria, Luis, and Manuel are shining examples of world-class service. Please give them the recognition they deserve!

Avoid Night Manager Mildred
This review is regarding the night manager ‘Mildred’ and not the overall hotel, we still love our stays here. Apparently there are issues in the Rivera Maya between the hotels and transportation companies, we’re from the USA and are familiar with disputes like this. We hired a taxi van for 12 of us to go out to dinner. The taxi we hired did not have the permits to haul from our hotel. Okay no problem. Mildred got involved and told us (guests) to go wait in the grass, while she argued with the driver, we were getting eaten alive by mosquitos and no-seeums. I went to tell here and she instructed me to get back in the grass. She then talked to her own people another 15 minutes. Then came over and told us we hired the wrong taxi service. She kept repeating what the problem was but didn’t offer us any solutions. She eventually said she would go find out prices for an acceptable taxi and would let us know. I asked if there was a place out of the grass with chairs we could wait and she said no!! Half our party left at this point went back into the resort. Eventually the rest of us got 2 taxis. I understand Mildred is new manager I suggest that Eldorado Seaside do some training with her and explain that guests pay the money that pays her salary and are not the enemy. Some of us spend a $1000 dollars per night to stay here. Maybe seaside could invest $500 in some concrete and seating for guests outside the gates. Offering some bug spray would be nice if you force people into the grass. It’s not the first time we’ve waited for transportation outside but the bugs were never this bad before.

8.5 out of 10 stay for our 3rd trip to EDSP
Our trip was fantastic, other than all of the changes to food venues and no communication from the staff. We missed out on the mexican party on the beach, and LaCareta due to not knowing when they would be open/happening. Otherwise, the trip was fabulous. Special shout outs to the following people!!! Luis, Ixchel, and Maria with the events team. They made all of the games and fun things more fun! Andrea made the work outs in the pool fun and got everyone involved. Jonathon was a rock star at check in and we cant go without mentioning the best waitress on the property, Margarita in the Culinarium! We cant wait to return for trip number 4!!!

A Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Paradise!
This was my first time staying at the Palms. I stayed at the Suites last year. The rooms on the Palms side are not updated but they are quite comfortable. We stayed in building 29 which was just perfect! Margarita, our house keeper, kept our room spotless and well-organized. She responded to our needs before we could even ask! When she realized we were using the back door, she put a bathmat down for us at that door. We came back to wonderful towel art every day! Jose, with room service made our first night so special. After delivering our food, he found out it was our first night and came back with 2 glasses of champagne! And, for the rest of our 7 night stay, remembered our names. Our personal concierge was also named Jose, and he was so helpful with making our plans and reservations. There was quite literally, not a single staff member, that was not pleasant, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond. A shout out to one of the new serving assistants, Alek, who really is a great example of the caring attitude that all staff embody. The entertainment was very good, live DJs, singers, musicians, and both the acrobatics and fire performers. My daughter went to the tequila tasting run by Jesus, and she learned a lot! She had been reluctant to go by herself to the tasting, but went anyway, and was very comfortable. Now, having stayed on both sides of the resort, I cannot pick a favorite side. Both have pros and cons. I loved the pool on the Suites side, but I love the beach on the Palms side. I liked how close everything is on the Palms side, and the frequent sightings of the raccoons, coati, and iguanas. You honestly cannot go wrong with a stay on either side. Our beachfront junior suite was literally steps from the beach. There were no issues with getting a lounge chair, or a Bali bed. Coming to this resort allows me to relax so quickly. I love that when you arrive, they tell you, "Welcome Home"!

Beach front vs Oceanview
We love Mexico so we decided to stay at an all-inclusive adult only resort for our honeymoon. We paid $90 US extra per night for oceanview yet when we arrived the beach front was just the palm trees. Were very disappointed the rum didn’t have any amenities for honeymooners and to pay extra for Ocean views, and our beachfront was disappointing.
