    Ok Vacation

We traveled here the second week of November, so before peak season, so our experiences may reflect that time frame. Our party consisted of a 2 - 34 year olds and 2 - 70ish year olds. While we enjoyed our stay, we aren't sure that we would stay at this particular resort again. Pros: -Quiet resort - we did not want a party atmosphere, but a place to relax -Rooms were what we expected and very clean -Resort app was great for communication about issues or requests -Breakfast buffets provided a large variety of items, especially at seaside market -Staff is all very friendly and works very hard -Easy to book excursions and restaurant reservations -Beach has many available Bali beds, and as long as you're out by 8am, you should be able to snag one. If not, there are plenty of lounge chairs. -Shows they have in the Plaza are engaging and not overly long Cons: -Food was mediocre at best. Room service in particular was the worst because the food was cold by the time it got to your room 45-60 min after ordering -Minibar/water refill inconsistent - we had two rooms, one room was refilled daily, the other we always had to request refills -Maroma Beach/Catamaran/Snorkling excursions - we did not enjoy this excursion. First the beach is ok but I didn't feel it was any better than Palms (unless you put high importance on the sand), but I would say the bar service and restaurant were better than Palms. The Catamaran is not relaxing, instead it's a party bus on water. Perfect for people who want that vibe, but as stated we were looking for a more relaxing environment. Also, due to weather we couldn't snorkel. I wish that was communicated before embarking on a 3 hour event as it was way too long of a time without the snorkeling option, as the Catamaran just drives back and forth along the coast so you see the same things over and over, and we would have just stayed on the beach had we known. -Member push - the first thing your concierge will do is try to rope you into going to a meeting about becoming a member with the promise of free stuff after. This is very common at these resorts, but I put it as a negative because I find it annoying. -beach service- the poor waitresses have to walk all the way to the pool area to get a round, consequently it takes about 30 min to get your drink each time. By the time she makes it around again, it's been another hour or so. They need more waitresses and better server access for it to run more efficiently. -They say only 2 restaurants need reservations, but they should really say all of them because there's at least an hour wait on a regular night if you're not eating early or at the buffet. - 2 nights a week they have big buffets and a show in the Plaza, these are nice but all other restaurants except the 2 that need reservations and Gourmet Pub that always has at least an hour wait, are open, forcing you to eat the buffet whether you like the items or not. -at checkout they almost put our bags on another transfer. I just happened to be going outside when I saw them loading them into another vehicle.

    Perfect 2 week holiday

Me and my girlfriend visited seaside suites during late October and November. We genuinely could not fault our stay. The hotel was perfect, great places to eat and drink along with great service. Our personal favourite was the gourmet pub (short rib) and the Italian both serving amazing food for an all inclusive. The hotel itself was modern and full of life, especially on the day of the dead festival putting on an amazing performance and decoration. The service was amazing and we couldn’t have been made to feel more at home. Pool entertainment from our favourite member of staff Luis along with xshell. Both providing entertainment and activities keeping us up to date and included every day. They both went above and beyond. From the beginning of our holiday we would get picked up from our room on the golf carts my multiple members of staff taking us to wherever we want, especially Herberto who went above and beyond for us. As a young couple it was nice to feel included and interact with other guests with group dinners and activities, we made plenty of friends. We would strongly recommend booking with Tui as they couldn’t have helped enough and made booking trips easy and carefree. The beach was an amazing place to be with activities available like snorkelling with tropical fish kyaking and paddle boarding with constant service of drinks to the comfy daybeds. And an amazing beach bbq. We couldn’t recommend enough.

    Extremely Mistreated

Our experience at El Dorado Seaside Palms was extremely disappointing. We were traveling as a group of 16 for a celebration, and from the moment we arrived things went wrong. We were required to pay an unexpected $600 USD room deposit, which was never disclosed beforehand. We were also told there were no à la carte dining reservations available for the entire week, even though we booked well in advance. We had to repeatedly visit the concierge just to secure a few meals together. We booked an excursion through Lomas Travel and paid $332 USD cash. We were promised a refund when our plans changed due to schedule conflicts—but after returning from another group excursion, they delayed the refund twice. We had to demand our money back and travel to another resort to finally receive it. The worst issue was the transportation back to the airport. Despite confirming our Sunwing shuttle for 7:55 AM with another couple, our pickup time was changed without informing us. The bus left with our entire group except for us, and staff told us we would have to pay for our own transportation. We were treated with complete disregard. They blocked a local cab we had used earlier in the week from entering the resort, and another couple experienced the exact same issue. We ultimately had to carry our luggage to the gate and share a cab to avoid missing our flight. We felt targeted and mistreated by the resort staff, especially after the refund dispute. I have never been treated so poorly while traveling. The lack of professionalism from the resort, Sunwing, and Lomas Travel was shocking. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this resort to others.

    Great vacation in Mexico

We stayed Nov 22-29, 2025. We are in our early 60s - extremely active and healthy. We walked almost 20,000 steps a day- because we are runners and enjoy walking. There are trams to drive you if you prefer. We enjoy a peaceful holiday. This property is well established with beautiful palms and tropical vegetation. The property is well maintained. We stayed in a Premium swim up suite- but spent more time at the beach. No sun on our deck after 2 pm. There are literally 100 plus Bali beds through the property- and most are first come first serve. We were up to watch the sunrise and never had a problem getting our preferred spot. If you are up before 9 am you can likely find a good spot. There are several different beach areas. We chose the area at the far end of the resort- no access to the water. Quiet and peaceful and right on the ocean. There are 2 sections where you can go into the water- the first closest to the dining area is more busy than the one further down the beach. If you are comfortable leaving the property you can easily walk 30 minutes on the beach. It is very safe and there are other resorts. Not really possible to beach walk at the Seaside Suites end of the resort. The pools are very nice - not huge. At the far end of the property there are rows of palm trees- surrounded by painted coconuts- painted by tourists. Overall the food is very good. Our favourite was the Italian followed by the Asian. These two require reservations which were very difficult to get. When we met with the concierge we only got a reservation at the Italian restaurant for our last night at 9:30. We were fortunate to be offered the Asian the following day. I should point out that- as long as you have a reservation you might get in earlier. We went at 5:30 - instead of 9:30 and they were able to accommodate us. You don’t need reservations at the Mediterranean or the Pub. We did not go to the Mexican.- although we would have like to go. There was a BBQ night at the main square with a fire show- which was very good. There is also a Mexican night but we went t to the Italian restaurant that night. There are a couple places to get a la carte breakfast- Driftwood and the Mediterranean. The main buffet - Seaside Market and the one at the beach were also very good. Lots of outdoor sitting at the beachside buffet. Lunch buffet near the beach didn’t have a lot of variety- but there is a place to get burritos, pizza, hamburgers and tacos near the beach. There is also a BBQ spot further down the beach. We did t eat at the Vegan restaurant- but a great option. There was great drink service at the part of the beach where we spent most of our time. The rooms were very clean but are in need of an update. Remember to leave a tip for those who clean your room- they make your stay that much more enjoyable. People remember to tip those who make you a drink and serve you a meal- don’t forget the people who clean your room- they do a great job.Overall we had a great vacation at this resort. But do your research and make sure it is right for you. Enjoy your h9liday and the Me I an hospitality.
