Popular destinations include ancient Mayan temples on the north side of the Island; the sanctuary to Ix- Chel -the fertility goddess- in San Gervasio and the Museum of the Island of Cozumel, with its colorful displays of underwater reefs and other Island treasures. At El Cedral, on the south side of the Island, the oldest Maya structure on Cozumel built in A.D. 800 can be found. Nearby a towering lighthouse at Punta Sur offers a 360-degree view of the Island.
Cozumel is habitat to many nature reserves: the Cozumel Marine Reef National Park, Chankanaab Park and Lagoon, and Punta Sur. Botanical gardens at Chankanaab Park display 350 different types of tropical plants from more than 20 countries. Another attraction is the dolphin aquarium, treating visitors to a close-encounter with playful dolphins. Punta Sur is a new eco-tourist park for visitors interested in learning about the Island's native flora and fauna. Encircling a region known as Colombia Lagoon, Punta Sur is a unique setting of mangrove jungles, white sandy beaches and reef formations. The Park's information center allows visitors to watch a 20-minute video and learn about different eco-systems, environment and native birds, turtles, alligators, fish and coral in the Park. At the information center, visitors can rent electric bikes to explore Punta Sur on their own.

Apr 27, 2025Good Hotel for Scuba divers
Staff are attentive to your needs, rooms are clean. Good variety of food at the buffet. They provide locker for your scuba equipment located 20 feet from the the pier. Dive rental store close to pier and close to shore dive area. Our room was missing a dresser for our clothes, was told they are in process of getting new furniture, that is why we did not have one.

Apr 24, 2025WONDERFUL LAID BACK VACATION
We stayed at the resort for 10 nights, with my parents. We were unsure what to expect as online reviews were great but youtube videos seemed to show a basic and old resort. We got to the resort late in the evening after a long day of travelling, and found out that the package booked with priceline was actually handled by Agoda and they had reserved it as Breakfast only (instead of All Inclusive). Nina at the front desk was extremely helpful in resolving the issue and always had a smile on her face. It was not hotels fault and they were eager to try to get it resolved. The first day we were not very impressed by the resort as its small and older facility (but being upgraded in sections while we were there), but it grew on us everyday and it seemed to get better and better as days passed. And we were actually sad to leave on our last day.. I would strongly recommend to have realistic expectation as its a smaller and older resort, but very nice and the staff is amazing and works very hard... The entertainment team is wonderful and always doing something with the guests- Juanita and Edgar were wonderful and smiling...... The drinks are good quality and do not upset the stomtach- Gustavo and Daniel make wonderful cocktails and luisa by the pool is always engaged with a smile on her face...... The food is not huge selection, but it was healthy, good quality and we always found something to eat.... Lots of people complain about internet and only being available in the lobby- we enjoyed being disconnected from technology and actually enjoying the vacation without phones emails and internet..... The crowd is mostly divers and older crowd, so it is very queit and peaceful most of the time.... Overall a wonderful resort and a wonderful experience!

Great Stay will Be Back - Chris/Julie SC
When my wife/I got there, we met multiple couples who told us that this was their THIRD Time within a year, they have stayed at this property. We looked at each other and asked, WHY? Well after five(5) day stay, I know WHY. Wow, can't say enough. Across the board, an absolutely great stay. From the staff, food, drinks, & activities, we really did not need to leave the property outside of shopping & tours we booked. To keep this balanced, the ONLY thing we could have wished had available was internet in the room (Had to go to lobby) & softer mattress. Other than that, a WONDERFUL Experience.

Top notch
Our stay was amazing, thanks to Aillin who was fantastic, her service made it extra special. Highly recommended and remember to ask for Aillin. The hotel was nice and clean, all the staff were friendly and it has easy access to a wonderful beach.

Great place to spend a dive week!
Great place - once the staff figured out we were fun Gen-Xers and not stuffy Boomers, we had a blast! - The place was clean and you could tell they are modernizing it while keeping up standards. Lots of stuff to do when not diving and the sales staff for off site activities were very professional and not pushy at all.
