What We Love

  • Nestled on a hillside overlooking the warm waters of the Caribbean, this resort ranks among Jamaica’s premier all-inclusive oceanfront resorts.
  • Tucked between the mountains and sea, it has its own mineral grotto and mineral spring pool.
  • Imagine the sound of the ocean below, as one of their expert therapists melts away your stress with a deep tissue massage in an cliff-side spa hut.
  • The property’s lush foliage and smaller footprint allows guests to lose themselves exploring its secluded stone pathways and storybook trails.

Things to Know

  • It's just over an hour from the airport. It takes a while, but the scenery on the drive is off-the-charts gorgeous.
  • The property features a private au natural beach and pool area with a bar.
  • A recent $12 million renovation has made Couples Sans Souci more sumptuous than ever!
  • The indulgently private atmosphere of the Hibiscus Villa now includes an unlimited spa-inclusive experience. Everything is included in the rate, even gratuities!

    A Remarkable Recovery

This was our third visit to Couples San Souci and we were actually worried we would not make it this time. Hurricane Melissa hit the island 6 weeks before we were scheduled to arrive and we prepared for the worst. To our surprise, the resort reopened on December First. Our trip was set to begin December Second! Keeping in mind what the island had been through, we went ... hoping for the best. We got the best! The resort looked as good as it ever did. You could see where landscaping was damaged if you really looked, but overall the place was as beautiful as always. During the "Repeaters Dinner" for returning guests we sat with Ms. Gibbs, the GM. She showed us some video on her phone of the damage just after the storm. It really was amazing what they were able to accomplish is such a short time. Bravo to the entire staff! We continue to go to San Souci because of their nude (au natural) beach. Sunset Beach is set aside and offers everything you need for you vacation without having to deal with the tyranny of pants! The pool activities are fun, with Ashley, Shanae, McHugh and others leading the way. There is always a great, fun-loving group of guests ready to play volleyball in the pool. I'm impressed with how respectful the guests are about smoking only in the smoking area, it really makes a difference to us non-smokers. We always suggest you bring water shoes for the ocean at Sunset Beach because it is very rocky and there are sea urchins. I'm not sure if you need them on the "textile" beach ... we've never used it. San Souci is very hilly and if you have mobility issues you make want to take that into account. We stay down on the beach level, but the staff will always give us a ride up the hill when we need one. They are just a quick phone call away. Once a week they have an evening pajama party on Sunset Beach. They also have a weekly nude dance party Monday nights. It can be fun with the right crowd. We usually just hang with the folks in the hot tub while the youngsters dance. Casanova Restaurant was a nice dinner, as was the Asian restaurant. These 2 restaurants require reservations. And the Balloon Bar is a perfect place to hang out in the evening. Love those piano singalongs! We will continue to visit Couple San Souci whenever we can. in fact, we are booked for April. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Perfect low key resort with great food and excellent team

Just a perfect, low key resort with a great team, quality food and drink and on a beautful beach. We travelled in early December 2025 for our second stay at CSS and the hotel had only re-opened 4 days since Melissa. You could see damage to trees etc, but not to the spirit of the team. Its a 2 hour drive from either KIN or MBJ but its worth it, an oasis of friendly calm All the team were excellent, and more "human/natural" than in some other resorts, and I wish I could name them all, but a BIG shout to RICARDO and ASHLEY in the entertainment team and SANISHA in the pool bar for their positive fun without being intrusive, and KASH for a relaxing massage We are not normally ones for poolside entertainment but the team made it fun and respcted when we did not want to play...even though many of the quizes were USA biased :-) This is a much quieter resort than others, and exactly what we wanted We had no food that disappointed and some meals were exceptional, especailly at Casablanca Its a shame the app has stopped, as the web based comms are a bit patchy and they lost our dinner reservations - but all was fixed without drama We will be returning and wpuld have booked on site but the returning guest price was higher than the public price

    A romantic Jamaican experience

Been to Jamaica a few times before and although this resort isn’t the most luxurious it is by far the most beautiful with the absolute best service. I unfortunately was injured at Dunn River Falls and lost 2 days of my trip, even saw the resort nurse. The staff here went ABOVE and beyond to make sure I had everything I need to be comfortable. They even lent me crutches for the rest of the week. Had shuttles ready for me and everything. Ricardo, a bell hop here even offered to take my husband to the pharmacy to get me ave bandages and more advil. Because we lost those two days and my injury we weren’t able to experience everything this resort has to offer. But definitely will be back to check it all out again soon. Special shout out to the entertainment here. The bonfire on the beach with acoustic jams made me cry almost. The people here treat you and eachother like family and it really is something you HAVE to experience. Couples, I am writing this review the night before check out with the upmost gratitude. I had been looking forward to this vacation for so long and when I was hurt we almost went home early but you went above and beyond for me, and I will NEVER forget it. Much love

AMAZING CARE OF GUESTS DURING CATEGORY 5 Hurricane MELLISA

We have been to this wonderful resort Couples San Souci many times but the ultimate test was their ability to make us feel as safe and secure as possible during this very SCARY Category 5 hurricane. The hotel under the leadership of Nadia Gibbs was exceptional in their planning and execution in taking care of us. This was a traumatic experience for MANY and Nadia and her team maintained a high level of visibility and individual communication with guests preceding during and after. Executive Chef Tyrone and team were outstanding even delivering food to our room the morning of the hurricane. A team member was assigned TO COVER ALL guests. The Staff was outstanding. Mr Buchanan, Alex (entertainment director and the best entertainment) Fayon,Stanley,Rascine,MsMarion, Janice Restaurant Manager and so many more. Thank You.

    Good for what it is

I went on a trip with a group of friends. Unfortunately this is not a property that you should travel with friends with. Strictly recommended for couples, they don't have any double beds. The group wasn't happy but it was not the hotel fault. The hotel let us out of our reservation after a night. I think some people were having issues but personally I didn't have a problem with the hotel. The staff were cool, it was quiet. I wasn't crazy about the food but the hamburger from room service was amazing. All in all if it were me and my wife, I think it would've been a decent place.
