Post pandemic TRUST
If safety and well being is important to you and your family, then may I suggest visiting Barcelo Maya Beach Caribe. From what I have personally witnessed, I trust their cleaning and sanitizing measures more than ANY OTHER place or resort in all of Quintana Roo . I have reviewed them before on their cleaning practices and how sanitary they are. I am sure they will be even more diligent post CoVid pandemic. In addition to how well they clean and disinfect the property, and rooms they handle all food with highest standards. Literally the chefs walk around with thermometers in their pockets, taking food temps continually. In addition to all of this, Caribe is placed directly in the middle of this huge resort with best access to all the water sports and pools and best beach entry point. If this is your first time to visit, you will enjoy the updated rooms as well as the amazing array of food available 24 hours a day. There is so much fun for everyone. that you will never have to leave the resort. If you have the means. I recommend upgrading to the Club Premium package! So worth it. You will have an amazing time from check-in the efficient staff, including Javier and Emilio at the front will take excellent care of your bags, while the girls in Club Premium will get you checked in quickly and efficiently. I would love to name individuals who deserve to be mentioned, however..truth be told the entire staff is so wonderful and accommodating, that its hard to call on just a few. They all go above and beyond their jobs to ensure your vacation is a memorable one. So a big huge thank you to all who work at Maya Beach Caribe. We will be back, again soon.
First visit to Barcelo Caribe, Riviera Maya, Mexico. We were six family members and we had a fantastic time. Resort was very nice, our room was older however clean & comfortable. Beach was outstanding and many pools. Food was quite good, we did the Buffet’s as we had two young children. Lunch bars were good, lots to drink, sports activities, lots to do. We didn’t get to the nightly shows as we were exhausted by 10:00 pm. Huge place with 6 resorts together, Caribe, Tropical, Beach, Adults only, the Palace and I’m missing one. We had a great time with no complaints, and the staff were friendly, very nice and aimed to please us. We tipped everywhere as they are very hard working, and very gracious.
Nice resort with lots to do.
My first time to this large resort the tenth Mexican resort/hotel I've stayed at. This area is great, maybe just a little dated, but no problem. The room was quite nice. On 3rd floor, there is an elevator if needed. Compared to many resorts the lobby area doesn't wow you as you enter, nor did the exterior. But that didn't matter. It was easy to find my way around the resort. Short walk to pools and beach was just a short distance beyond. The very large well organized buffet wasn't far to walk back to either. Lots of food options well displayed and labeled. Near the mall, Sports bar area is the free WiFi, limited times. Or $45/wk...odd not free! Being there over Spring Break made it a bit busy due to many high school students! However with the virus issue there wasn't many around. There are so many pools you can use and plenty of loungers and hammocks. There is even a lap pool with 5 lanes, I think, that was great! On the beach you'll always find a lounger and shade from a palm tree. The restaurant's are really well done, modern stylish and strick on dress code, for once. You won't go hungry! Fine dining for sure. Besides not giving you the free WiFi, the other issues would be not having enough bartenders at the theater. Maybe a more detailed map showing where you get your towels for pools etc. and restroom locations. I found both easily enough. Yes there are many things that do cost extra but you don't need to leave the resort to enjoy some unique things. Sign up for a free sailboat ride, you'll love the changes in water colors! Few good areas for snorkeling, mostly from the pier towards Palace. Lots of long beaches for walking. Take a Collectivo to Playa del Carmen cheap easy get to Hwy they will take you for $3 or less each. Pay when yoy get off. Be sure you learn where to get the ride for returning to resort etc. Cross Hwy take one to Tulum, cheap, walk to ruins pay for tour guide..easy.
Wonderful experience for our first All-Inclusive resort
Our first visit to an all-inclusive resort was excellent, with great service, good food, and a relaxed feel to the resort. We stayed at a Premium-Level room with an ocean view. This made the visit more special with amenities and benefits that we thought were worth the up-charge. The room was spacious and well maintained. We had no real use for the balcony jaccuzi, but just sitting out there and looking at the palm trees and beach was terrific. The Beach-side shop "Piscina Beach" offered lots of items to enhance our visit. Sunscreen, swim goggles, beach balls and more. Both Mayra and Gisela in the store were so friendly and helpful which made our visit even more enjoyable!!!
The employees there are incredibly nice and always making sure my cousins were ok during the game :) all of them were so nice and the visit was amazing! I would 100%want to come back :) some of them that were so nice were, Paty, Jesi, Adri, Joni, lari, Cris, and Evelin! They are so nice to talk to!
