Honest Honeymoon Review
Booked through Tui 2 weeks We have just come back from spending our 2 week honeymoon at this resort. ARRIVAL: We arrived at around 4:30pm on a Tuesday and was greeted at reception by lovely staff (who knew it was our honeymoon as Tui wrote that on our booking), an ice cold cloth and a glass of champagne. 🥂 (The cloth and the drink was very much needed!) We were then shown to our room by a very attentive staff member called Wander. We were in room 55205, this was overlooking the gardens at the back of the resort which we were very happy with. We were basically in the middle of the resort so either pool we went to was the same walk. We had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room and a lovely banner on our door saying “Honeymoon” which we thought was a lovely touch. POOLS & FOOD INFLATABLES ARE EXPENSIVE TAKE YOUR OWN We spent everyday around the loud pool, this pool is the one next to the beach. Pool Bars open at 10am you normally know what time it is as the entertainment staff start doing their morning welcome dance at this time (who needs a watch). You will most definitely find yourself knowing the words to the Bahia Principe song and the dance moves by the end of week 1! Entertainment around the pool was actually quite fun and got you speaking to other guests and forging friendships. (Sally Morrison) Entertainment: Spanish lessons Rum tasting Ring toss Dancing lessons Canoeing races across the pool Carrying trays of drinks across the pool Musical chairs Mini golf Foam Party Beanbag toss….thats just to name a few. The loud pool is located next to a restaurant which is perfect for lunches if you do not want to eat formally at the main restaurant in the lobby. Food: Club sandwich’s Pizzas Burgers Prawn cocktail Chips Roast chicken Fish of the day Jacuzzi pool is behind the loud pool. This has a bar next to it and is never normally that busy, so a tip would be jump out the loud pool and walk 45 seconds over to this bar as you will get your drinks quicker! The quiet pool is located the opposite end to the loud pool. This pool we visited and is perfect if you just want to relax in quiet or maybe get some reading done. It is also located next to a restaurant where breakfast is served every morning. Food: Breads Meats Eggs Fruit Yoghurts Pastries Sausages Beans Hashbrowns and so much more. MAIN RESTAURANT: This is located in the lobby behind reception. This is buffet style and each night they have different themes. This is the more formal place to eat and at lunchtime you have to make sure that you are not wet from the pool and covered up. The food was lovely but after 2 weeks did get repetitive but we had no problem with that as we know they had to cater for loads of guests with different tastebuds. The specialty restaurants: You need to book these as soon as you arrive as guests from both hotels can use these so they get booked up very quickly. Staff: Worked very hard and knew your names by the end of your stay. WARNING THE MOSQUITOS ARE RELENTLESS AND NOTHING YOU USE WILL STOP YOU FROM GETTING BITTEN. I was bitten so badly my body started to have a reaction which caused my face to swell badly and my hand to swell up 3 times its normal size. To see the doctor on site is VERY VERY expensive. After speaking with reception asking for their advice as I was swelling by the second, they spoke with a local pharmacist for me who asked me what medicine I needed. So together with the reception staff we googled what I needed and was told a price by the pharmacy. I left the money with reception and the medication was delivered less than an hour later and the member of staff came and found me by the pool to give it to me. A few hours later, the duty manager Wander started his shift and was notified at his handover that room 55205 was unwell and what had happened. He then came and found myself and my husband to check how I was feeling and to see if there is anything else they could help me with. This service I thought was amazing by the staff who were so concerned and did everything in their power to help me but also to make sure I didn’t have to lay £100’s to see the doctor. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. If you have any questions I do not mind answering x

Nice but not great. Can’t swim in ocean
This resort is a solid 4/5. It always depends what you’re looking for as everyone is different. The entertainment crew is AMAZING, specifically Marielys (our favorite) Alexis, Boobaloo, Jose and Maria were all fantastic. Getting us involved in all the games and activities but not putting too much pressure, even me at 6 months pregnant they would help me modify to be involved. The energy this crew brings to the resort is unlike any other. They truly felt like our friends. The rooms are clean and well kept for our standards. The AC got coool enough. The large fluffy bath towels were incredible and a true king sized bed. We did find a cockroach in our room one night (ground floor so not too surprised) and the shower takes a few minutes before it gets hot. The beds are a little on the firm side but not too bad. The “loud pool” is where we spent most of our time and the water gets quite warm, borderline un enjoyable lot hot by the afternoon. Unfortunately the beach is mostly unusable. You can walk up and down and sit in chairs but there were multiple jellyfish stings during our stay, Plus also lots of seaweed and the water smelled bad from it. Although there were some people swimming, we didn’t risk it. There were also sand fleas that left you with itchy bites and little crabs which ran up and down the beach (which we actually thought were really cute). There was never any trouble getting chairs at the pool or beach, even in shade which was a nice change. There is people smoking in lots of places which I hate but do expect it on vacation. The resort felt super safe. It’s well within a gated secured community with guards manning the front gate. There were no people trying to sell us anything on the beach at all since it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere and not along a bit strips of resorts like we’ve been to in the past. They do seem to have some power problems. The power turned off (for about 10-30 seconds each time) probably about 10 or so times during our 6 night stay. It comes back on quickly and there was emergency lighting so it didn’t bother us too much. They had brand names for pop (coke and 7up) and lots of brand name liquors which was nice. The food was quite good. We are somewhat picky and could always manage to find something to eat. The Mediterranean restaurant is 99% seafood so I’d avoid that if you don’t like seafood. The Italian was our favorite and the steakhouse was also very good (it’s outside so was quite warm) All in all we had a great stay at this small, hidden resort.

Two weeks of joy
Just got back from a two week holiday had a wonderful time at the hotel. All the staff are amazing from cleaners to waiters to servers to chefs to animation team to lobby staff all so helpful polite and friendly. Big shout out to Pedro in pool bar who kept us all well watered with drinks. Met some amazing people and laughed non stop. Ignore reviews about staff not being friendly if you cannot speak Spanish or food not up to standard all rubbish. Always able to get a sun bed by any of the 3 pools or on the beach so no sun bed wars which was great. Having drinks brought to by the pool or on the beach lovely as to in the main hotel bar. Enjoyed the gourmet restaurants. Would recommend
