I had a great time at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. The energy is great and I had lots of fun. The pool is very spacious and I loved that it had a pool bar. The entertainment team is amazing and so are their shows. The restaurants are super good, especially Meats and Limbo. If you want to find a fancy, unique and tasty drink, I definitely suggest visiting the bar at the Limbo Restaurant. The staff in the resort is super friendly and attentive as well. Unfortunately, during this time of this time of the year the beach has some seaweed, but if you take a walk on the beach, you’ll see some clear spots. Overall, I would recommend a stay at this resort.

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel comfortable, members of the concierge and guest services made themselves known to us, as returning guests it was a nice surprise to be remembered. All the staff we came into contact with from every department were friendly, efficient and polite. The members of staff we feel deserve a special mention are; Breakfast at Palmyra ; Ela Miguel Kirlin Judeth Rudolfo Hector And all. Concierge; Jean Carlos Edwin Antonio And all Guest Service / management team; Adriel Rhaideer Orlando Francis And all Bar staff daiquiri ; Robert, a great character and a true gentleman. And all Coffee shop ; All staff Pool bar ; Kelvin Desiree All staff. La Brisas ; Aracelis All staff Limbo cocktail bar ; Aqilino Kedwin Emmanuel Entertainment team ; Julio Maid service / Turn Down service / Mini bar service ; Didn't get their names and that's my fault, but they were all prompt, efficient, and friendly. Evening performers at the daiquiri bar ; Sam the guitarist, the saxophonist, the violinist and the singers are all top performers. there were so many more members of staff that deserve a shout out, but unfortunately we didn't get their names. The attitude and attentiveness of all the staff has noticeably improved since our last visit. We were made to feel special and important. My wife's birthday was made special from breakfast to our romantic dinner on the beach in the evening. Everyone came together to make our stay a very happy and memorable one. Congratulations to you all and thank you for everything.

Staff make the place!
Overall, this is a beautiful hotel resort with great staff! Would like to mention a few colleagues who made the trip amazing! Firstly the smoothie woman was a great perk and she was so happy every morning (Fiordaliza) and made the best smoothies with a smile :) Secondly Nairobi and Yemi were great fun and always happy and created great vibes. Lastly Antonio the guy we was greeted with once we arrived was the happiest and most helpful man ever! Throughout our stay he always made us feel special and treated us so well! Thanks Zennon

Jul 16, 2025not safe for solo female travelers
I went as a solo traveler, female. One of the male employees entered my room without my permission. I didn't even know he could do that since he wasn't a cleaning worker. I was naked in the tub when I heard his voice. I asked him to go back outside and thankfully he did. I was also harassed by several other male employees on property who wouldn't leave me alone when I said i didn't want to talk. The beach was disgusting. There were at least 15 feet of seaweed so you couldn't even walk by the water and it smelled like boiled eggs. They had workers in tractors but they didn't seem to put even a dent in it the 4 days I was there. The water was full of seaweed. i had to walk 30 mins to the beach area in front of a different resort that was clean, walkable and swimable. The buffet options were very limited, thankfully I had restaurant reservations but the food wasn't good either. There were kids for whatever reasons in the adult only resort. It's definitely not a fun, party resort if that's what you're looking for. It might be a good stay if you come with someone else (for safety) and you don't plan to be on the beach or care about food or entertainment.
