Haven November/December 2025 our 5th visit
This is our fifth visit to Haven and as such I would like to craft this review in such a way that I hope it helps potential guest as well as the hotel leadership team. Potential guest please know this – Haven offers exceptional value, service and ambiance for the cost or we would not have visited 4 times in the last 2 years, with a plan to return in early 2026! The team members are friendly, efficient and willing to do their best to make your holiday as special as is possible. The buffet is very well appointed for breakfast (especially), lunch option abound and speciality restaurants that certainly please the palate! Should you choose to have the Serenity experience you have even more options for personalized service! Personally, we recommend the Serenity upgrade, but should that not be in your plan then you will certainly be very pleased with your stay to be sure! Beach is well maintained; property is kept at a high standard. We would like to endorse your choice to stay with Haven. For the management team – please know that your team are the very reason why we return – we have been fortunate enough over the last 30 years to have been all over the Caribbean, Hawaii and Mexico for sun and all over Western/Eastern Europe too and so we have experience enough to say that your team members are exceptional. From the Bellmen, check-in, bar, restaurant, servers, cleaners, pool, property maintenance and the personal concierge (butler team) – they are all truly ambassadors for your property. We would like to recognize some truly exceptional team members to you at this juncture – Pool service (at our swim out pool) Jose Luis and Carlos were friendly, efficient and always willing to deliver a beverage with a smile! Thanks Guys! Bartenders/Bar service that deserve special recognition-Luis who was at Vora Mar (Nov 24 to ~ Dec 2) Patient, friendly and great Gin Martini making (stirred not shaken as it should be with Gin). Maria is the most friendly, kind and effervescent of team members. She is just FUN. We would also like to specifically mention Adrian who was working the outside main pool bar in the evenings – he remembered us from a previous visit and our after-dinner drink of choice – exceptional. He is great with guests and can handle the overly ‘happy’ guests with kindness, respect and care! Well Done, Adrian!! Dining Servers – Wow, here you have an abundance of talent and some that could use a bit of coaching. Willi & Oscar at Olios, Aura from Tahini Breakfast (she is incredibly special indeed if you would like more ask us in February) Russell & Luis from Satsu, Raymondo and Guillermo from Vora Mar, Russell from Auga Bendita and from Tahini/Buffet – Luis (tall with new glasses that look great) Arturo, Didier, Santiago, Felix and your new young lady with so much potential Karen! Sadly, we would like to mention that Diego (Vora Mar) Martin and Julio (Vora Mar Romance) could do with a little support given that we experienced something we were not used to – lack of care/consideration and support. The dinner at Romance was unacceptable - you should be proud of a Caesar Salad and make it properly as it was created in Mexico. There are no cherry tomatoes, no curly endive and no balsamic reduction in that salad and that sauce (or rather gloop) on the steak was horrible - paste consistency and cold. Maintenance and housekeeping – We would like to complement you on the care shown to your property. The gardens are well maintained, pools are service (with a friendly greeting) and the overall cleanliness of your property is excellent. We would like to thank Meriy and Lore our night/day housekeepers for their wonderful, timely and friendly support! Housekeeping is often overlooked when a ‘Thank you’ is given but we would very much like to say here and now – thanks Ladies! Dining additional suggestion – we would like to suggest that Tahini could be better utilized on the off days from the ‘dance experience’. You had great meals, great menu from Tahini, please consider using that for Serenity guests on the non show days! Your curries were exceptional and the service excellent. Frankly we miss that restaurant. Spa – Richie is the trusted face of the Spa from our perspective. He was the best when he was in the back supporting customers directly but with his promotion (we hope it was) the ladies in the back aren’t nearly as attentive, supportive and helpful. Thankfully, we have done the water journey many times as the ladies didn’t guide us and we even had to help other guests as to which water station was next, how to use it and how to initiate the flow of water! This NEVER happened when Richie was in the back. May we suggest that you have him as their supervisor and with his oversite we are sure that the experience will be vastly improved – almost as good as when he was there himself. Butler support is a treat! Paco was super helpful for the interim when Nacho was on a well deserved break. Personal concierge/butler support should never be taken for granted or advantage of but we would like to state that Nacho is truly a gem and we hope/trust that you recognize and reward this accordingly. He is omnipresent, not intrusive, ever friendly, extremely helpful and a wealth of support and knowledge for his guests! He made sure that we had everything arranged, planned and done! He even offered us help during his absence and is well above and beyond. We well and truly appreciate Nacho for his dedication, his professionalism and his generosity in all that he does! We look forward to having Nacho’s support in February please! He is simply the best!! We hope this helps and was specific enough to allow you to review, reward and investigate. Haven
Excellent experience. The check in went very smooth. We did the serenity package. Our checkin happened in a private area. No waiting. Drinks provided as we reviewed everything. Staff were friendly. Our arm band was our room key which was great. No worries about always having a key. We were early and our room was not ready. We had a brief tour of the resort and had a few drinks. At 3pm, the room was ready. Our Butler met with us and had a ride to our building and to our room. We were in building #5, second floor. Great view. Lots of room, comfortable. We had already reviewed the restaurant options. Butler provided our requests which he took care of. We also requested a couple message which he booked. We connected through the Whats App so if we needed anything, we could reach him. We did the Italian Restaurant and the Dinner Show. Enjoy both and would recommend both. We also did the buffet which has a larger selection. Not as good as the restaurants but still good. It was never extremely busy. They are open for several hours which likely helps eliminate the meal time rush. Staff very attentive. The pool areas were nice. We enjoyed the mail pool the most. No pressure to participate but lots to watch. Music was good. They provided live entertainment / performers which was much better than the DJ. Lounge selection is good but if you want a specific location, you do need to get up early and reserve your spot. Lots of bathrooms around which were kept clean. It is a large resort but very few steps. There were elevators so no concern if you have mobility issues. Once you look around the resort, it is easy to find everything and it is all centrally located near or at the main building. In the evening, the provided live entertainment in the lobby beside the bar. Very nice way to relax. They did have evening shows but we did not stay for those. The ocean view was fantastic. There were options to lounge on the beach but we enjoyed the pool. Staff were always helpful. The place was very clean, everywhere. There were a couple of weddings that happened when we were there. We were close to the airport, likely about a 15 min ride. We would recommend this resort and will likely be returning in the future. No complaints.

Awesome!
I loved Haven Riviera!! All of the staff was so kind and willing to help. They always went above and beyond. The rooms were great and I love my experience. Mar is such a good dance teacher and Angel knows how to get a party started. All of the restaurant staff especially Santos were wonderful :)

Amazing Service - Amazing Resort!
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights mid-December. We were due to stay for 7 nights but I hilariously booked for 2026 instead of 2025. We rocked up to the hotel an entire year early 😂 We were met by Andrea from the Serenity Club who tried her very best to accommodate us anyway but the hotel was fully booked. She arranged a taxi for us and we made our way to the Kempinski Hotel in the Hotel Zone. We managed to book for 4 nights at the Haven Riviera after a short stay at the Kempinski. Andrea had carefully managed everything for us to ensure we had the most amazing time! The room was the absolute best with the sun all day long, we had the best tables in the restaurants that she booked for us, and along with Gabby our butler every single detail was taken care of. The quality of the resort was stunning - everything was pristine and the food and drinks were amazing. The staff literally couldn't do enough for you. Would 100% return!

Great adults only resort with only 430 rooms, but feels like a much bigger resort as the choices for food are plentiful
The resort is well maintained and the food is excellent at the buffet and restaurants. The staff are very professional and friendly. Denise was our butler and she went out of her way to make sure our stay was memorable. Luis who was our pool concierge was a very nice young man.
