Still here unfortunately: hot water intermittent, food is hit or miss and that makes you notice the disrepair. Staff is friendly but that is the norm in Mexico.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and the facilities are very clean and lovely. Since the hotel has only a few rooms, it never feels crowded or noisy, which was perfect for us as we just wanted relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The room is lovely and comfortable; we did have a small issue with the hot water, but it was fixed quickly, which we really appreciate.

An amazing stay at Blue Diamond!
This was my first time staying at the Blue Diamond and in Playa Del Carmen, and I was blown away with the service, ambiance, and offerings of the hotel. Blue Diamond is more catered to the people who like having nature integrated in the hotel/some light exercise to get around—there is a decent amount of walking to do between rooms & the restaurants/beach, spa/gym, and reception. There are bikes available (first come first serve), and you can call a car. But it is great to walk to enjoy the trees, catch the several animals that roam around the property, and walk off any food/drinks provided. There’s also a natural cenote on the grounds that can be enjoyed! Shout out to both Erics (the shuttle driver and sommelier/server), Tony, Fernando, Hector, Carlos, and Roman for making the stay even more special. I’m excited for staying here again in the future!

An amazing experience at Blue Diamond!
I had a really great experience!! The room was very spacious and luxurious. The hotel staff were very helpful and nice (Shout out to Fernando, Eric, Antonio, Hector and Carlos) They really made us feel welcome and like they were really there to take care of you and cared for our wellbeing! The food was amazing. It was all you can eat and everything was delicious. I wanted to try it ALL! The ambience and the vibes of the hotel felt very luxurious. We were there for a wedding so we didn’t get to try any of the amenities but hoping we can come back to stay and try them again. This is definitely a top destination resort!

Green paradise
The hotel is really beautiful, with a very old-fashion and natural vibe. There’s quite a bit of distance between the beach and the room, but we actually loved the walks and if walking isn’t your thing, there are golf carts available, which is great. The food is very good at all three restaurants. The facilities are nice and clean, although some areas could use a bit of fresh paint.That said, we totally understand how hard it is to fight against nature with so much greenery, humidity, and salty air, it’s understandable. Even so, the team does a great job keeping everything comfortable and well maintained. As for the construction, it was hardly an issue for us. We barely noticed it, only a little while walking back to the room, and it was never too bothersome.
