Anniversary Trip
Incredible experience. Quiet, secluded & perfect for an anniversary trip. Food was excellent, staff extremely friendly, and overall feel was perfect. New resort being built next door but didn't interfere at all with our trip. If you're looking for a mellow Mexican siesta with great food, great people & great location, Blue Diamond is the place. Highly recommended

The vibe is amazing. It needs updating!
Vibe? Amazing! This hotel Is chill, relaxed and has gorgeous vegetation and animals. The rooms and grounds, however, need a lot of work. We are the type of people that can deal with these things but they really do need updating. The floors and railings are horrible everywhere. Like almost a safety issue. The air conditioning doesn’t work well. Ours was okay since it was November, but I can’t imagine in the summer it would be overly hot. The “hot” water only gets warm at best in the shower. We had our plunge pool filled, but it drained out because they only plugged it with a rag. The cenote is super cool and refreshing to swim in. The food was decent. We’ve been to over 12 resorts in Cancun and surrounding areas. The beach here was not very good. Overall, we enjoyed the calm, private vibe. It’s small and there is a very long walk to what they offer. I think it’s 1 mile long. They have golf carts to take you there if you want, but it was usually a 10 minute or more wait. The bikes that provided would have been fun, but they were hard to get and they are not taken care of and in need of repair and air in the tires. If you want to relax, this is the place. I’m sure when this first opened, it was amazing. Updating the rooms, flooring and railings are much needed.

Not a Five-Star Experience – Deeply Disappointing Stay at Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel
We recently returned from a 7 day stay at the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel and were significantly disappointed by the experience. Although advertised as a five-star property, the resort failed to meet even basic standards of comfort, safety, and maintenance. While we did encounter a acceptable meal options, the resort has only two operational restaurants, leading to limited dining variety that quickly grew repetitive. More critically, the property is in a state of disrepair. Common areas show obvious signs of neglect, including lifting wooden boards, unstable railings, and uneven pathway, there were safety hazards all through the resort. The guest rooms were equally concerning. Among the deficiencies we experienced: • Broken and discolored mirrors • Missing tiles in the shower • Non-functional coffee maker • Television issues • Unstable bed frame • Extremely worn, discolored towels There are bicycles to use on the property, but you can never find one that actually worked. The rooms are far from the beach, pool and dining. We also observed and heard troubling reports from other guests. Several mentioned having no hot water in their rooms, and some even described mice and mouse droppings in their accommodations. During our stay, we personally heard scurrying in the walls and ceiling, which was both disturbing and unacceptable for a resort of any caliber. Customer service did little to alleviate these concerns. When issues were raised, staff responses were often curt or dismissive, implying that such complaints are frequent and unresolved. The online photos of the resort are misleading. It’s clear that the images reflect a property from many years ago, not the deteriorated state it is in today. The beachfront is very small and visibly receding, with erosion taking its toll daily. Furthermore, the layout of the resort is impractical. The distance between accommodations, restaurants, and the beach is considerable, with rough and uneven paths throughout. Though golf carts are available, they were unreliable — often taking over 30 minutes to arrive, if they arrived at all. In summary, we cannot recommend the Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel. Despite its former prestige and potential, it no longer delivers a luxury experience or even a comfortable one. We would not return and strongly urge others to consider alternative accommodations.
