We chose Secrets Cap Cana for our two-week honeymoon after extensive research, glowing reviews, and beautiful videos showcasing the resort. For the most part, the resort lived up to our expectations, and we want to share both the highlights and a few areas for improvement to support future guests and the hotel. 💎 Preferred Club – Highly Recommended We booked the Preferred Club, and it was absolutely worth it. The experience felt elevated in every aspect: ✨ Butler Service Included: Access to dedicated butler support (and in our case, the exceptional service) made our stay more seamless and personalised. ✨ Exclusive Pool: The Preferred Club pool was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing, a perfect escape for honeymooners. ✨ Private Restaurant for Breakfast & Lunch: The Preferred Club restaurant offered made-to-order meals, higher menu variety, and a calmer atmosphere—ideal for a relaxed start to each day. ✨ Top-Tier Rooms & Views: Our room was beautiful, well-maintained, and offered gorgeous views. The Preferred Club room categories really elevate the luxury feel of the stay. We would highly recommend the Preferred Club to anyone seeking a more intimate, personalised, and luxurious experience. 🌴 The Positives • Breathtaking Grounds: The landscaping, pools, and beachfront are truly stunning and immaculately maintained. • Exceptional Butler Service: Our butler, Matiel, provided phenomenal care throughout our stay. He checked in daily, assisted with reservations, organised romantic surprises in our room, and ensured I had safe dessert options due to allergies. He is a remarkable asset to the resort. • Warm, Attentive Staff: Many employees were kind, welcoming, and genuinely focused on guest experience. We also extend thanks to the Preferred Club supervisor for their support during our stay. • Dining – A Wonderful Turnaround: We had a rocky beginning with allergy-safe dining, mostly due to communication misunderstandings, which made the first couple of days challenging. However, once we spoke directly with management and the chefs, everything changed. From that point forward, they created unique, safe, and delicious dishes every day, often tailored specifically to my dietary needs. It became a truly fabulous dining experience, and we genuinely looked forward to each meal. ⚠️ Area That Impacted Our Stay 🔧 Unannounced Lobby & Key Area Closure On arrival, we were surprised to learn that the main lobby, Rendezvous Bar, and Coco Café were temporarily closed for renovation, and we instead entered via a service/delivery entrance. These spaces were a major factor in choosing Secrets Cap Cana, but there had been no communication before travel to inform us or our travel agency of these closures. However, Construction noise was occasionally noticeable during our stay but minimal, and the resort layout was adjusted to suit all activities. Although an initial let down it didnt impact out stay too much. Just a shame as it was our honeymoon. ⭐ Final Thoughts Secrets Cap Cana is, without question, a beautiful and romantic resort with the potential to deliver an unforgettable luxury experience. We made wonderful memories here, and the turnaround in allergy-safe dining—thanks to the proactive support of management and the culinary team—became one of the highlights of our trip. While we would have appreciated advance communication about major area closures, the exceptional staff, stunning setting, and personalised service especially from our outstanding butler made our honeymoon a truly special experience. We hope our feedback is helpful, and we genuinely believe that with consistent communication, the resort will continue to exceed expectations for future guests. Overall Rating: ⭐ 4.5 / 5 A magical stay with incredible staff and unforgettable dining once resolved — highly recommended, with a few notes for improvement.

I had such an amazing time this week with my family . it was truly a joy from start to finish , and the staff went out of there way to make us comfortable . i appreciate every single one of them but specifically want to shout out the entertainment team . Ice cube , Mini Me , & Ledy no gaga . from playing baseball on the beach , volleyball to The theater shows or dancing in the lobby . Every night was truly a pleasure & ill be sure to be back

Exceptional Stay at Cap Cana
We had a remarkable and enjoyable stay at Cap Cana. Special banners and cake for my husband's 70th birthday and our 50th wedding anniversary. Our butler was Matiel. He made our stay so easy by setting up dinner reservations and checking in on us every day. He even went above and beyond to get distilled water for my husband's Cpap machine, taking our group photo and getting our floats for the pool inflated. He truly made us feel like family!

If you’re debating whether to book this place, just BOOK it. I’m not being paid to write this, and I don’t usually leave reviews, but this resort truly deserves one. It’s honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were exceptional across the board from reception and the personal concierge to the restaurant, bar, and entertainment teams. Everyone went above and beyond. A special shoutout to Ice Cube, Leydi No Gaga, Beyoncé, and the entire entertainment team for creating such an amazing atmosphere every day. What I loved most about this resort is how much there is to do. From yoga and pool sports to pottery and kayaking, there’s something for everyone. The lobby entertainment was brilliant too, never a dull moment, and the singers were fantastic. I highly, highly recommend booking this place. You won’t regret it.
